  1. How could something that awesome get cancelled?
  2. Haha! Hm, I wonder what other games can be beat by 200%, although only a few, such as Chrono Trigger can take 200% of an assbeating.
  3. You may have 100% the game, but have you ever 150-200% the game? You know, the extra challenge modes after beating the initial? Lemme see: Super Mario World (including the Special stages, normal stages, shortcuts, etc.) Super Mario 2 Super Mario 3 (w/ and w/o whistle) Super Mario 64 (fuck Yoshi) Super Mario Kart 64 Rayman 2: The Great Escape (excellent game, wack ending. Gots all lums/cages/masks) Super Smash Bros 64/Melee (sold Brawl before I beat it) Ocarina of Time (all items) Majora's Mask (all items) Windwaker (all items) SoulCalibur 2 Jet Force Gemini Chrono Trigger (yes, beat the New Game +) Spawn (SNES) (Watched the credits and heard Malebolgia's ROFLing) Castlevania Dracula X (got both Maria and Annet, killed Dracula) Mario Party 2 (all mini-games and stuff) Star Wars Ep 1: Racer (the second of the last four courses was GRRR) Yoshi's Island JSRF (secret characters, graffiti souls, etc) Jet Grind Radio (^) Sonic Adventure 2 (all missions, chao, etc) Sonic Heroes (PAINFUL) Streets of Rage 3 (secret character, boxing kangaroo: Roo) Sonic 3 (+ Knuckles) (only one time) Power Stone 1/2 (all items, characters, stages) King of Fighters '99 Tekken 3/4/5 Marvel vs Capcom 2 Capcom vs SNK X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems Bushido Blade 2 Super Mario Land (beat the second challenge too) Link's Awakening Don't feel like naming any more. Not that many games, honestly. Or is it? Idk.
  4. Froggy, that's pretty soft, man. Arguing with nerds about your appearance? C'mon man, you hold the whole damned world in your palm.

Real shit, people on here don't need a reason to be motherfuckers. They don't need a reason to talk shit, and you don't have to have done anything. Fuckin' around: that's what dicks do.

Personally, I try to keep my shit brown because it's been since 2009 when I've chucked a buck or two and bought a T-shirt and bumper stickers as a way to say "thanks DJP, you're the shit for inventing this site!" I shall contribute again one day.

Even if a person donated a grand, still, it would not be right to be an asshole. Exceptionally, if so, that requires a hell of a logical reason.

Like Dr. Dre said, bitches ain't shit.

  5. I don't know why in the fuck I wanna beat Sonic Adventure all of the way. It's more tedious than anything else. Sonic Adventure 2 is better for the focused mind.
  6. @ArmadonRK: you might have a point.
  7. I know what people mean by this, but... ...that's Mainstream Hip Hop. Underground Rap is the total opposite, almost. Not that this ol' song is ultra-progressive or anything.
  8. Agreed; I'm no fan of hers, but neither am I a-hatin'!
  9. You're right, there is no better genre. Although I did say that I was more into shreddin' than honkeytonk, I don't care; good = good and vice versa. Edit: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I was going to take "Real" seriously until the second verse. I could feel the whole death of a wife deal, but after a bit of listening, it began to sound pseudo-emotional and cliche. They're all going for that melancholy appeal. I am sorry, but change the title to something about high school, change those twangs into distortion, speed it up, and turn that country accent into a suburban White geek one. Voila! You'll have your average Alternative rock song! Heh, they're dissing mainstream TV, but listen to this mess! The music is actually not bad, but it all follows the same pattern. Bow-bow-dickle-dickle, bow-bow-dickle-dickle, bow-bow-dickle-dickle, bow-bow-dickle-dickle...
  10. Fact (lol): Western > Country; Blues > Country. "However, you, my musician friend, are aware that a songwriter's mind understands music with the left and right brain with some nature and knowledge" Yup. It might, who knows? And... I was talking about music in general. The cliche stuff is predictable, and even some of the goods are. However, I am talking more of the "real" Country like Johnny Cash, Elvis or Lynyrd Skynyrd. Similar to how the "real" Rhythm and Blues were better back in the 70s/80s with artists like Rick James, Teena Marie, Marvin Gaye or Earth, Wind and Fire. Even though there's still notable Country for this generation, a lot of it is just Pop meets Honkeytonk Badonkadonk. As for today's RnB, it's not only worse, but dead; we have today's pseudo-emotional, hiphop-electronica-crossover bullshit like Usher's OMG: a two-chord progression. Or, you just have generic hood hits with bad singing, random rappers and repetitive arpeggios. I'm more about 'Oroku Saki' than I am about 'Plowing the fields', but I'll take a generic song from Tim McGraw or Keith Urban any day before I listen to this Nu-Metal Slipknot shit. Today's 'slayers' don't do it like their predecessors. But unfortunately, even maggots seem like beauty compared to modern Hip Hop. Although most of it sucks, at least Nu-Metal has passion and theme. Passion and meaning > Cliches.
  11. I edited it. I realized that my words and points were run together. Non-musicians, with a few exceptions, listen to music and have a completely non-scientific and non-theoretical way of hearing it; it's just likeable, stylistic noise that they grow accustomed to. However, you, my musician friend, are aware that a songwriter's mind understands music with the left and right brain with some nature and knowledge; music is an art and science; naturally, we get what works and what doesn't. Just like you wouldn't wear red, green and purple, you wouldn't put together incomplete, incoherent or nonsensical sounds, would you? Isn't it all, regardless of style, sequences of chords (stacks of notes) that have rhythmic percussion and compatible melodies with harmonies that express emotion and tell a story? Are you not aware that all a listener hears is the style that they are accustomed to (exception: they can recognize a master from an amateur), and we hear what music is really, and we know the beauty of sound, regardless of a style? We're not bound by styles of sound; we hear how one sound goes with another, and if it's good or not. The art is the idea expressed; the science is the logic required for music to make sense. That's all, right?
  12. There's plenty of terrible Country (like Billy Ray Cyrus) likewise to anything else, but currently, this musical category puts WAY more musical effort into their works than some others, likely with the exception of Classical or complicated, melodic Jazz music. Within the genre, it is not hard to find a decent, less-twangy Country song that holds the following quality standards: Decent, excellent or genius chord progression More than one decent melody; non-repetitive Coherent; has some sort of direction Interesting subject that most or all can relate to Substantial lyrical content Not too loud or soft; balanced Mixed properly; frequencies of sound barely or never intersect Proper delivery of simplicity and/or complexity Memorable Classic People who listen and judge solely on musical style are too accustomed to their preferred sound to regard, care about or even know this truth, but the fact still remains: forget genre, good = good. Before I discovered my music talent, I was only comfortable with listening to certain genres, or having exceptions within context (disliking church music, but it's cool if it's in church) After studying music personally, it led to the universal knowledge and understanding of good songwriting. Forget genre, can you write a song? I no longer hear this or that. All I can hear now is GOOD, GENIUS, TOLERABLE/POTENTIAL/OKAY or BAD because no matter the genre, music follows the same basic principles. Likewise to art, whether it's romantic art or anime/manga style, the simple principle of good and bad remains. Good is what works, bad is what doesn't. It's that simple, despite the verbosity of this post.
  13. I'd get hurt by some Sonic fans, but I would agree. I am the ultimate life, a flawless existence Nothing is unpredictable to me, nothing can surprise me I am the mystery of the world, I can tell it by their cold eyes I am the warrior, it's my way to go Give me your huge potential with your fluid motion Just Tell me the truth, are you really the ultimate life? Just Nothing is unpredictable to me, nothing can surprise me I am the mystery of the world, I can tell it by their cold eyes Just move, it's the time Just move, it's the time for you Just move, it's the time for you Just move, it's the time for you
  14. Guitar sequencing can be of any difficulty. It's only that hard when you're using Slayer. Oh God, that's insatiable! As I had mentioned in another thread:
  15. I was looking for the chords of a song and them. Frontin' by Pharrell. I somewhat dislike the song, but I like the chords that are used in it.Also, Rayman 2 - theme.
  16. Dude, I can make you awesome. I just need like, the means to do it because my life is so fucked right now.
  17. I love that game, actually. In fact, it's one of my favorites, but it has some cheese that the dark, dramatic tones can't drown out. Edit: that game is fucking awesome. I still stand by the above post though; it has a lil' cheese.
  18. Mind redirecting it? Either way, I'll help! FL Studio is a great program for beginners, intermediates, and pros alike! So, a helpful question: how can we make less generic music? No suggestions? Ok, here are a few: Learn enough music theory Use recorded acoustic and electric sounds, and include them with additional sounds from the program itself. The instrumentalist can be you or someone else. Learn how to mix and master. I would say something about mixing in mono to resolve conflict before you evolve your song, but that's not welcome on this discussion board. Do not rely on presets of effects or generators for satisfactory results. Unless you're Soulja Boy Tellem, you'll be disappointed! Add more instruments to your browser. Use more than one program, whether it's as transitive as going from one to the other, or if you use one while using another, especially with plugins such as ReWire. Stop being a jackass that thinks that putting together some marimbas, orchestral hits and repeating a sequence of poorly utilized drum samples (some call it 'beats') = having it all figured out. The secret that traditional musicians hold is discipline. Let's not obsess over their ignorance or their disgust; rather, let's incorporate their ideas and evolve! That's how you do it, BGC.
  19. Some folks that I know try to talk about his musical inclination, but meh, bLind has skills + he's ultra-cool. Shit, FL is cool, but I find it to be limiting after say, eight years of using it. I concluded that after about 3+ years of utilization. I can't say that I know every damned thing about the program, but you do understand. One thing that FL Studio did not teach me (well): music theory. Some do not value it, but with at least a bit of substantial knowledge of music theory, you can go a loooong way. Your songs will be much better than you can imagine, and it'll become even more easy. Yes, FL Studio will become even more easy. Reason has cool sounds, but its DAW is terrible! Also, the sounds are too highly processed, but I still like it.
  20. I guess that I am not missing anything. *Gulp I liked some aspects of SA2, such as the more serious tone that it had, but it was full of this:Sonic: [vocal airplane noises and pointless shoe grinding] Tails: a fucking cockpit with legs to make up for Gamma. Knuckles: Ayo, it's ya boy Knuckles, and we're here @ Wild Canyon! Rouge stole my emeralds, bout ta git dat bitch! Finna kick some rocks in the air and start throwing them and shit! You know how the fuck we do, gangsta pimpin! Shadow: a random hedgehog with jet skates that he stole from JSRF while he was warping through time and space. He has problems with hallucinations that involve government conspiracies and child murder. Rouge: voluptuousness and ?Eggman: a 300 IQ genius who wastes his time fighting rodents and canines with the legged cockpit he built out of boredom and low funds. At first the two sides fight each other, but then, in order to save the world as Maria had requested, they all team up to fight a powerful giant synthetic lizard. The End. Sonic Adventure was like, good and bad. The good thing was their innovation and creativity. The bad thing was their excessive, unnecessary ideas as well as their laziness. Adventure Fields gave many of its players a headache, annoying stages stole the attention of the better ones, and the ending... MY GOD, the ending! Even my fiancee looked at the screen with great disgust at the ending. To top that, you can't be Super Sonic at any other part of the game. I liked Windwaker, but it pales in comparison to the other Zelda series.
  21. Why not pwn the thread with another thread?
  22. The DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi series were a definite upgrade from the ol' normal Budokai style. I played the SNES version. Not sure which is more awesome. SSBM was like, the Jesus of transition. It's been 10 years and it still feels new. Everything from graphics to gameplay, and even the fun itself had upgraded in that game. Man, lots of awesome games have been named in this thread. gotta play the ones that I missed out on.
  23. Somebody got tolded. Yeah, tolded. Once Darkesword isn't looking, I shall take the sentence and sig quote it. Sure, I'll pass the eye bleach.
  24. Prophecy hit the nail on the head: majority of the music we hear has been made poorly on FL Studio or some other program. It takes a little work to give the music the same dynamics and rule of law that natural, less simplistic instruments have naturally. However, sleazy fools don't do that; they make something that they figure that people will listen to for the sake of money, and the whole slothful procedure has become a BUSINESS! Prophecy, GLL and I were just talking about that.
