Anyone else pissed that some songs are ONLY unlockable on co-op?

I'm pretty torn on which version to buy...on the one hand, I could use the PS2 guitar for GH1/2 as well as Freetar/FoF. On the other hand, not having online play is kind of a dealbreaker. :'(
I'm in the same boat.
I think I am gonna go for the 360 version though.
Because I would like to be able to download some new songs, and is on it's way out.
I support 360 enough (even though I don't own one).

Question:
In GH2 on 360, do you need to purchase the tracks from GH1 or, are they free to download? Also, can you download individual songs?
This could be the deal breaker.

Think of it as investing in the future? Eventually they'll stop making PS2 versions and you'll be left hanging if you want a new one.

It's really a question of do I want to play 1, 2 and 3 on a PS2, or get if for 360, and get future games.
I don't own any of them, but I like cheap: and older ps2 games are cheaper than new ones in a couple years.

I'd say 360 if you can. I imagine Downloadable Content won't see much action on the PS2. Online play either, for that matter.
What if I am not interested in either of those?

I'm still off-line, but I have been loving playing campaign.
I am halfway through legendary solo.
Do you still get achievements if you beat it co-op?
If so, that kinda sucks.

If you sign up for Xbox Live, when you recover your Gamertag it will come up with all your achievments and stuff (not your game saves tho) no problem.
Is there a way to do it without live?

I have a question.
My room mate bought a 360 with halo 3.
I promised myself I wouldn't get into it.
Two days later, I had unlocked half of the achievements in H3.
Now, if were to buy a memory card for a 360, is it possible for me to move my gamer profile (and gamer achievements) to another 360?

Playing an actual Asteroids machine was a dream come true.

I am actually impressed with the game as a whole.
I've beaten it three times, and I am now working on legendary (solo, no live yet). But the fixes they made are very welcome.
Granted, I wish they would have hidden the skulls better. They ranged from dumb easy, to retarded hard (IWHBYD skull).
It took a lot of elements from the first halo, and put them back; which I liked.
I know, how many people play halo for the story?
Honestly, I was more excited for the story than the multi-player.
Speaking of which; What through the credits. You won't be sorry.

Either way, it's ridiculous. Selling an M-rated game to 17&- is not illegal. It's just "Recommended" that they not purchase or play them. Most stores try to keep with that for consumer image, but nothing is really there requiring them to.
Is that a state law thing? Because I am carded quite often when buying games/movies.
