  1. Hey! Thanks for reaching out. If you'd like to PM me and tell me a bit more about your choir and how you think I can help, that'd be great! I shall check out your Facebook page too
  2. Hey OCR I'm looking to get involved in a few projects to help build my skills and confidence as a musician. I normally direct and produce albums with lots of other musicians, but I felt it was about time I started focusing on myself and what I can do. This year I have been contributing vocals to a few tracks on Newgrounds, with a few more still in the works. If you have a project you feel I would be suitable in, please get in touch and let me know what it's all about. I do request that you have a proven track record of completing projects, because my time is important. I won't contribute to something that I don't feel will be completed, and sadly that is all too common (although sometimes beyond peoples control). I also request that your project is non-profit if I am working on it for free. If you plan to license and sell your music, we would need to discuss that in more detail. In return you'll get an enthusiastic, motivated vocalist who is willing to learn and improve. You can also be assured that I take deadlines very seriously and will stay in good communication throughout. Please check out what I have on Newgrounds so far, with more to come! http://darrenkerwin.newgrounds.com/
  3. The album is now available to download! Thanks for the support! www.harmonyofheroes.net If the website is a little slow, there are also torrents available. For more information, check out our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/harmonyofheroes
  4. We will be discussing suitable musicians this weekend, but feel free to share anyway! We may have more to discuss after our chat. Much appreciated!
  5. Thanks for the kind words Gario! I remember you said you were quite busy, so I decided not to pester you with this Looking forward to receiving more responses.
  6. Hello Bowlerhat, thanks for your interest! Do you have any examples of your work?
  7. Thanks for all the support so far everyone! I've received lots of responses here and via PM. We plan to start making contact with musicians in the next couple of weeks. If there are any other musicians wishing to get in touch, there is still an opportunity to do so.
  8. Right now everything is up in the air. As you can imagine with an album, tracks are taken, dropped, changed and scrapped all the time. But Smash Bros has a lot of content...A LOT.
  9. Not a problem, i've added it to my list of things to look at and i'll be in touch as soon as i'm able to! Yes I am sorry for that, we do have a specific list of tracks and a rough idea of when we want them to be completed. Right now we are just looking for musicians who are interested, and to assess their quality. We will make contact with those who we like the sound of and then get into more details. We have a specific list of tracks that are remaining, many have already been taken, this is one of our attempts to fill the remaining tracks. I received your PM, thanks! Already responded I would be interested in hearing what you are capable of. I shall take a look over your profile and get in touch if we think you can be of some help. Most likely i'll probably need to send you a PM with questions about it, but thanks! Really kind of you to offer!
  10. Fantastic! Do you have an example of your work? I noticed your Soundcloud account in your sig, is that where your current music is? Awesome! Thanks for getting in touch. Do you have an example of your work that you can share with me?
  11. HARMONY OF HEROES: A SUPER SMASH BROS FAN ARRANGEMENT ALBUM LAUNCHING IN 2014 Facebook Twitter Hey there OCR! I am here to talk about our latest project, Harmony of Heroes. We are creating a fan-arrangement album based on the Super Smash Bros franchise. It is a diverse album covering Super Smash Bros (N64), Super Smash Bros Melee and Super Smash Bros Brawl in a variety of genres to suit a wide number of musical tastes. We are currently in the process of finding more musicians to help contribute to this project, which is already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious I have ever been involved in. Our history I have been involved in two previous projects that were focused on the Metroid franchise called Harmony of a Hunter and Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run. The original Harmony of a Hunter was actually pitched on these very forums back in 2010 and with the support of OCRemix and musicians and various other communities and websites on the internet, we released a fitting musical tribute to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Metroid franchise which has been download and enjoyed by thousands of people and is still being discussed today. The response was so overwhelming positive that we received a follow-up called Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run on the anniversary of Metroid Prime & Metroid Fusion's 10th anniversary that received a similar reception. Harmony of Heroes builds upon the success of our previous albums with a notable franchise, a greater number of musicians and content to work with and a much larger fan base. The Team Due to the scale of this project, I have required the assistance of a dedicated team who have been super helpful in giving feedback and support to musicians. Stephan Wells and Buoy were both involved in our previous album 101% Run, and are long time supporters from the Newgrounds community. Both of them have been a huge asset to the project so far. We also have Pyro Paper Planes who has been a long time supporter, involved both of our previous albums. We have recently had a new addition to the team, Rozen. He was previously involved with the Video Game Music Choir and has already provided an incredible arrangement of Final Destination for us, which has been performed by a 40 piece orchestra and choir. Their support and dedication to the project so far has been much appreciated. Our objective Super Smash Bros is a franchise that I have grown with and admire greatly. It was my first introduction to characters like Samus, and I have seen just how passionate and committed its fan base is, whether you play the games casually or professionally. It is a collection of everything that is great about Nintendo, and more! My aim for this album is to pay the greatest possible tribute to the music of Super Smash Bros and the series as a whole. I believe Harmony of Heroes offers that, and continue to do that with your support. This is where I am hoping you guys can help! How to get involved In an effort to progress forward, we are compiling a list of musicians to cover some of the remaining tracks on the album. We are looking for a range of musicians covering various genres and styles in an effort to make our album as diverse and appealing as possible. We need people who are committed, open to suggestions, able to work towards agreed deadlines and most importantly, responsive. Communication is very important to us, and we will be maintaining good contact with everyone involved and supporting with feedback and suggestions. Harmony of Heroes is a non-profit album and is NOT an official Overclocked Remix album, but we value and appreciate the support and continued support of our albums and to the musicians involved. Anyone wishing to get involved should respond to this thread with an example of their work and their availability. We will make contact with those who are interested via private message here on OCR. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a private message and I will respond as soon as I am able. Darren
  12. Hey guys! I hope you all enjoy Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run it was a real pleasure to help put this together. We have some wonderful musicians contributing to this project and I think it's a great tribute to Metroid Prime and Metroid fusion's 10th anniversaries. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
  13. It's really great to see Melting Sun approved by OCRemix, it truly is one of the most outstanding tracks on the album in my opinion. Christopher has done a great job at re-imagining the tense and epic Rundas battle as a gentle, piano piece, almost reflective of the sadness that follows through his death, corrupted by Dark Samus. The contrast between the original and Pyro Paper Plane's approach is vast, but welcome. I've worked with many musicians on both Harmony of a Hunter albums, but Chris stands out a little more than most of them. I consider Chris a friend. I've known him for many years and i've seen just how far he has come, and it makes me really happy to see him getting some recognition here at OCRemix. Keep your eyes on this guy OCR, he's not done yet! Christopher will be providing three tracks to the upcoming Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run expansion, which will be released next month. Thanks OCR for your continued support for HoaH, it means a lot.
  14. Hey guys Hope it's ok to advertise this here, it's relevant to this thread afterall Just a heads up really, due to the success of Harmony of a Hunter, we put together an expansion called Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run. It contains lots of new content and themes that didn't make it to the original. There's returning musicians from the previous album and lots of new musicians too. It's actually completed, it contains more music and more musicians than the original and in my opinion, a higher standard of quality. We really pushed it this time! We launch the album in November and look forward to hearing your comments on it For more information on 101% Run, check out the Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/HarmonyofaHunter For previews and press releases, check out the Harmony of a Hunter website! http://www.shinesparkers.net/harmonyofahunter
