Nah, I meant to say in the future. What if we get it early, huh? =D Yeah, sorry about the pop-up thing. I actually prefer it so that the main site stays intact while I do whatever on the forums. Still don't see any entries!

Maybe in the future we'll have BM3.

Hey, sorry if there are problems. I don't seem to have any issue accessing the forums. Could you perhaps message me and give me a detailed description of what's going on so we can try to fix it? Anyway, we also ran a review of the album if you're interested in a commentary on the actual music: http://www.music4games.net/Review_Display.aspx?id=126

I figured there are a lot of Uematsu fans here, so I wanted to bring it to everyone's attention that Music4Games is hosting a giveaway for Uematsu's latest album, Anata o Yurusanai. Nobody has entered as of yet, likley because nobody knew it was buried in the forums. For some reason, it's in the "competitions" section of the forum. The album is pretty good. Features many styles of jazz, although Uematsu didn't compose the whole thing. It came out in December, so if you haven't picked it up by now, here's your chance. And it's free!

This thing gets bigger every year. I wish I could make it out to one of these. MAGFest is actually enjoying front-page, showcase status right now at Music4Games, along with a advertisement banner thing.

Well, if the game is not to your liking, you can always wait until January rolls around to import the soundtrack. My impressions of the audio so far are very good. Perhaps with the release of the game, you can check some more videos and hear more of the music in-game before you even decide to buy the soundtrack.

Thanks for helping those of us who can't read disclaimers! We'd all be screwed if we didn't have skilled disclaimer-readers like yourself around. It actually doesn't matter. They're both made to generate hype for the game. It's not like people are saying, "The game looks horrible," which wouldn't be accurate to say based on a teaser. I can still say it's underwhelming and didn't generate any interest here.

Here's some more detailed info about the soundtrack and who all is working on the audio end of things: EDIT: Nix that, it was brought to our attention that the composer for the game itslef has not been "officially announced" yet. The TEASER itself was a bit underwhelming, but hopefully it does mean they're making progress. It WOULD be interesting to hear what Jeremy Soule does with the score, given his orchestral background. He did work with guitarist Jason Evigan on the Supreme Commander soundtrack, though, and there were some cool orchestral/rock tracks there, so we'll have to wait and see IF HE'S THE COMPOSER!

Underneath the screenshots. Big bold text that says, "Listen to ______." Enjoy!

The music clips are finally uploaded. Get remixing! ;D I really dig Theme of Aqua Garden. It was in a lot of the trailers, but now you can have a clean MP3 version. Let me know what you guys think.

It seems that they make a great team. They've worked on a lot of stuff together, obviously. It's kinda neat, because here in the United States we have tons of composer "pairs," and Sasaki/Hataya were one of the first such pairs in Japan. The music is pretty majestic. I really enjoy the main hub area. You can hear the music for this area on the NiGHTS website, which is quite beautiful. I'll try to have these music clips up tomorrow for you guys! Watch for the soundtrack in January. =)

I know there are a lot of NiGHTS fans out there, so sitting on this interview has been really difficult. But here it is. As far as I'm aware, this is the first time they've been interviewed in English, so let me know what you think: http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=194 The music in the game is beautiful! We have some music clips to post (watch for them in the coming hours), but I'll be sure to post again to let people know when the music is up. Enjoy!

Hey, I don't know if anyone here followed the Metroid Prime 3 audio journal at Music4Games, but I was working behind the scenes to get this exclusive interview with the Retro Studios audio team and famed composer, Kenji Yamamoto. As far as I'm aware, this is his first interview, or at least the first in English. Let me know what you guys think: http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=174

Hah. Very comprehensive list at Classic Gaming. I'll have to check that out, as my recordings aren't the best. I recorded them mostly for the sake of reference when I was writing my audio journal entries.

Mechanism Eight is my favorite. I'm glad they included it (they included it on the 'A History of Unreal Music' CD too). Necros did Isotoxin in Unreal and Mechanism Eight in Unreal Tournament. Alexander Brandon is no longer at Midway, so that's why he wasn't involved with the score for UT3.

Oh, and here's something to hold you over until the publication of my much-anticipated audio journal finale! All my recordings as I played through the game (minus a few that had sound effects and I was too lazy to re-record): http://rapidshare.com/files/55308701/mp3-2.zip.html Enjoy!

Hey, We had considered making Metroid Prime 3 our soundtrack of the month at Music4Games, but it didn't go through. I decided to go through with my idea to do an audio journal, however, commenting on the audio, and specifically the soundtrack, as I progressed through the game. We published the first article covering the first 25% of the game on 08/30: http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=167 We published the 50% mark on 09/12: http://www.music4games.net/Features_Display.aspx?id=170 I just finished the game, and am going to do another article highlighting the audio in the last half. After that, we're going to have a little surprise for everyone... it's going to be awesome. =) Let me know what you guys think of this concept. It's quite new, and the fact that Nintendo is so bad about releasing soundtracks makes this appealing to me because I think the music needs to be heard!
