I had to read through this page a few times... at first I was truly speechless. I haven't seen the voters' comments yet, but I'd just like to say thank you so much to all the talented competitors and all the voters. I'd also like to say a quick thanks to Rexy for putting so much time and energy into every single PRC. And also to ThaSauce for awarding this fantastic prize - I'm honoured. EDIT: Read the comment - unanimous first place votes? Wow, thanks very much. Sorry if my trombone playing sounded a bit out of tune. Basically I've been trying to work on intonation at college and my teacher has been saying I'm playing too sharp on certain notes. Trouble is, I over-compensated on this recording and may have ended up too flat in places. So after being taught there's 7 positions on the trombone... well that's not really true at all lol.

Wow... the last CMC I participated in there were loads of entires! Next time I'll definately enter.

I'd just like to point out that the word "canking" in my write-up is actually meant to be "cranking". Sorry 'twas a typo.

I'm really sorry to have held you up Rexy. I've now submitted my entry. Thanks for waiting for me. I think one of the things that made doubt the deadline was today was ThatSauce. I'm sure it said I had hours/days left for the compo on there, but oh well. I'm looking forward to hearing the other entries!

Am I right in thinking that the deadline is about 10am GMT tomorrow? Cheers. EDIT: "Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by THE TUESDAY AFTER THE NEXT - October 9th at 4:59 am Eastern US Time." Am I going crazy or is it the 9th October tomorrow? I'm gonna upload my entry now then... although not a single entry has been uploaded so far - cutting it a bit fine isn't it? I'm pretty confused to say the least lol. Surely I can't be the only one to have a finished entry ready for submission. :/ EDIT2: Y'know what, I'm just gonna assume the deadline is a week Tuesday and that the date is wrong. Bligh that was stressful lol.

So... what's happening? I'm quite eager to start mixing to be honest.

Funny rule that. Abut being able to vote for yourself. lol.

What I need to know is whether we're staying with the current theme/description because I don't want to start remixing this only to find that a day later the entire thing has changed.

RedFusion your comments mean a lot. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment on my WIP. I will definately look into zshare, so thanks for that. In terms of that long sustained string note - I have in fact altered that in a more recent version. Thanks for picking up on that. Now I know the change was very much needed. I'll have a good look at the first 2 minutes and see if I can alter it a bit more from the original. Certainly the short intro with the harp is very different, but that big homophonic section may indeed be too similar to the original. Although I do like the full-orchestral sound. I appreciate you bringing that up though because I'll definately see if I can tweak a few things within it. So as I say, thanks very much for your criticism and compliments. It has been really useful and I hope to post another WIP soon.

I really like the sound of this SSB! Good arrangement ideas on yor behalf and great quality samples. Being a trombone player myself I may be biased when it comes to assessing this WIP. But I love it all the same.

I love this game! I used to play it on an old 80s computer when I was a young'un. Very creative use of the original game drum samples. Overall, the texture sounds full, all the parts make sense and I love it! Although I can't at this stage dish out any helpful advice, I'll tell you this: please post another WIP soon. You're the man Zolborn. In fact, you might just have inspired me to open up an old PoP remix I started ages ago... Best of luck.
