  1. So? That still leaves 1/4 left!
  2. Why are there no mixes for this game? WHY, are there no mixes, for this game?!? What is wrong with you people? So much good music! The Happy Mask man, Oath to Order, all of it! I, personally, can say I am dissapointed in the OCR community for not having done anything yet. What are you waiting for? GO!!! GO MIX!!!
  3. DAMN! Why didn't I think of that? Each mixer's sig can be based off of who he or she is mixing! Jeez..., oh well. gts, our artists, should have some work done soon. Sketches, and the like. So, think about it. Leepmeister with Bowser playing drums as his sig, or the-almighty-tallest with starwolf as a street gang. When gts, our artist, gets done with some sketches, Ill let you know. But I haven't spoken with him for about a month, so he could be anywhere from "Still sharpening my pencil" to "Just finished the coloring". Ill ask tonight.
  4. OK, finally got around to adding up everybody that said they could provide live instruments. Our particular situation is quite lucky. Many people around can play concert band instruments (Good for orchestrated pieces), and plenty can play guitar (Do I really have to explain this one?). Here you go: Guitar - leepmeister Base - leepmeister Tenor Sax - mlo Clarinet - mlo Keyboard - mlo, pu_freak Accordion - Pi_r_[]ed, mlo Violin - James George Viloa - James George Cello - Bass - James George Things are pretty wild up there right now, but if anyone else wants to step forward, even if they aren't making a track themselves, feel free to. Much appreciated.
  5. Yeah, sign me up, too. I've got the program, now I just let it run?
  6. Well, if I remember, she did rank high among the losers that didn't make it. We'll see, it just all depends on A.If we get more mixers making requests B.If she is one of the ones that is ranked high (If step A pulls through at all) I think... this might help a bit.
  7. Funny, I almost forgot you had signed up for anything, and I was thinking, "Whats that guy doin' around here anyway?". How about you give it until our move into WIPs, and, after that, you can have it if no one else has it yet. I was thinking, maybe, to add 5-10 new bosses, seeing the immediate reaction to our presence. Maybe, but Ill think about it. If some well-known, high-quality mixers step forward, maybe, just maybe, I'll throw in a few more. I was also thinking, whats the deal with FLAC files in the torrents? It seems they do nothing bu make the torrent 4 times bigger. Am I missing something, or does one part of the world not use mp3s, or what?
  8. Wow, I was away from any computer for a few hours, and I'm loving the responses. Alright, nice to hear. Excited for the WIP, good luck on it. Again, good. Looking forward to it. OK, since you arent sure yet, I guess I can use the WIPs quality to determine if you're in or out. Good idea. No Leaf Clover, you say? Get me a WIP. Now. Great. As my personal digital assistant, I expect only the best from you. Sadly... Andross's theme MUST be dominant. While, yes, I agree that Starwolf's theme kicks total ass, the project does revolve around FINAL bosses (I guess TGMP is an exception). So, if you do this, the most of Starwolf's theme can be is 49% of the whole thing. Well, for the back of the album, I did want Mario with X's in his eyes, roasting on a spit over an open flame. And for the Sig, I was thinking a classic cartoon chase scene, with baddies on the left, chasing good guys on the right. The album art, check our other forums for the idea. We still need new character designs! Now, I don't know how worthwhile it will be to ask everybody for an audition piece. So, all tracks are open for multiple mixers, serving multiple purposes, including possibly finding better mixers. The final chosen track will be decided on by the public, or maybe just me. We'll see. And to everybody who gave their "Good Job"s and "Good Luck"s, thanks! Much appreciated. I'll go spend the next half hour editing the main post, if you need me.
  9. Fine, fine. "Official Planner/Organizer/PDA/Cell phone". Still a "thing", but at least it's official now...
  10. OK, you heard Liontamer. So, heres the deal. Anyone who signs on, will have 55 days to provide a WIP. mlo, you listening? Thats your job, as "unofficial schedule-planner-coordinator-thing-person". If a boss is already taken, but you want it, that means either collaborating with that mixer, or duking it out. Time to throw down, thats what this project is about, right? Huge battles. Although... I would hate to lose anyone we already have on. So try to avoid that. I'm sure something can always be worked out. We have been discussing it, and, yes, as long as I have the time, I do plan on working on a Vol. II afterwards ("Haywire Harmonics" [Thanks to Chickenwarlord]). So, don't see your favorite boss listed? well, when the time comes, come check us back out. Of course, you should be checking us out periodically anyway. 'Cause we rock like that. What else, what else... not much, really. Almost everything necessary to the project is explained in the first post.
  11. YES!!! I'm so excited, and it seems I'm not the only one..., but that was it. Just GO GO GO. Weird.l And Pu_freak, why doesnt anyone get, that if there are open spots, of course we'll be taking people on. SO, I listened to your WIPs, go ahead and pick a track. Rexy, I was so sure I had the math right... are you couting a mixers for Lavos and Magus? I made that mistake once our twice... CHECK GEN DISC, NOW!!1!!one!!1
  12. Actually, he's only one state away from me... But, the requirements for hitting general discussion is 2/3, and we have 2.07/3, or whatever my math was. Why would we want to wait any longer?
  13. Well, just judging from the quality of the WIP you posted before, I'm actually not surprised. Of course, never say it couldnt get better. EVER. It can always be made better. You just aren't looking (and listening) hard enough. Still waiting on DarkeSword. What time zone is he in? Graaagh... I can't wait!
  14. No, absolutely not. General is completely necessary to the process. I almost never check WIPs myself, simply because I'd rather listen to the finished thing (Of course, thats all going to change soon enough anyway...). I said I was going to wait for 20, but going now cant hurt, I suppose. I will go contact DarkeSword for approval right now. But I have to say, back when I was uber-n00bness, maybe two ro three days after I first got an account, and new NOTHING about the inner workings of OCR, I did attempt to contact DS about a Majora's Mask project in response to the fact that there was none on the site. I did get a response, but very short and to the point, and not rude, exactly, but made me feel rather uncomfortable about ever contacting him again. I have to say, I feel very nervous. Odds are, he's completely forgotten about it, and bringing it up at all is just screwing myself over. I feel embarrassed about the whole thing, and I really hope this goes well. Not saying there shouldn't be a Zelda project, but with the albums they have for those games, for the most part, it isn't necessary. (At any rate, the happy mask man reserves some respect...) So, here I go, to contact DarkeSword...
  15. Well, thats what I mean. Not counting attention, it so far doesn't sound like general wont do much for us besides advance us to WIPs. That is, unless there is proof that it does anything to besides hype the project.
  16. Well, I see your point contradicting itself. If General Discussion could only drag in 6 people, why would we even want to bother, besides spreading the news. And personally, I think WIPs would be more likely to attract more eopple. Thats where all the artists are.
  17. Well, Rexy said wait until 20, and I don't want to argue about it with someone who has had MUCH more experience than myself, unless she wants to step forward and green light the get-go herself. Other wise, yeah, I completely agree. The fact that we are moving along much faster than the other projects stuck here in requests can only mean that we will have a very positive reaction with anyone that doesn't normally check this section of the forums. So, what does everyone else think? And, one more thing. Like I said before, +10,000 page views doesn't happen on it's own. Do we have fans out there, or what? Please, step forward. Knowing that there are people looking forward to this is exciting!
  18. Yeah, it was great, but I guess the original post I had didnt go through, for some reason. It went along these lines: "Ooh! mlo, I have chills. Its coming along great. The only problems I have to point out right now is the transition at 0:28. That, and something about 2:00 makes me want to play Sonic, but I guess that isn't a real problem." I dont know why it didnt go through... but it would have gone with my post several up, that mentioned someone mastering the tracks. Speaking of which...
  19. No, but there absolutely should be. Where we can share our preferences and gripes about food, and share our own recipes.
  20. Original, or chunky? Err... I mean Melee? And, yeah, the real thing would definately be better, I was just waiting for someone to say it before me... Or, rather, getting those guys to speak, what would we have them say? "Hi, this is Sephiroth. Welcome, to the official 'Crescendo to Chaos' site. Have a good lunch!"? The prospect scares the crap outta me.
  21. You never know, lets try to contact Scott Burns. If Kong in Concert got praise, well, who knows, maybe we could go out and get it ourselves... We could have custom voices! SICK!!! Sephiroth, Cortex, Liquid Ocelot... maybe intros to the website, or short clips of evil laughs, like Bowser, for instance. Hrmmm. the possibilities. Might be hard getting some of them to do it for free, though.
  22. OK, cool. Anyone who said they play an instrument, Ill post it in the main... uhh... post. On the note of helping the project as a whole, does anyone have one of those really good, really expensive mixing programs? I think the word Im looking to describe this is someone to "master" the tracks. Everyone could send him/her their mixes, and he/she would remaster them. If the burden is too high for someone to do all that, we could always sign on a new person. Or not. And if you're planning on using that audio sample... well, now I really cant wait!
  23. Speaking of which, anyone else up for live instruments? I'd be no help, unless someone needs an accordionist... (First emoticon I have ever used. I despise the things, but they get the job done)
  24. Well, if leepmeister gets back to me, we may have a live bassist...
  25. Im in my lab, right now, skipping over lunch. I have work to do. What Im doing on OCR instead, I have no idea...
