  1. Submitted a Bonus this round...been a while since I've done so. Still kinda :banghead:ing my head for not participating in MMX Banger Kuwanger's theme
  2. Looking forward to seeing the end result of this project - anyone know when it's gonna be released?
  3. YES I hear that Kuja theme in there, thought I was crazy - glad to know that I'm not 100% nuts Also, didn't know that Nobuo swapped in for Yasunori...ulcers suck lol
  4. Yeah Planescape Torment was almost like an interactive book. That was one helluva story that I wish other companies would try to emulate. And I agree, there should be some character development, but still, I consider my snes "rpgs" to be rpgs
  5. Fixed, thanks gerc Always something right? Wise guy eh. Hey Tony! Get over here and throw this guy in the canal.
  6. Alrite Ladies the next round is up http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=988435#post988435 EDIT BTW evktalo, can you link me to the sampleset for your "crappy" guitar samples? I figure they're better than my current rig lol.
  7. Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) Round 32: Chrono Trigger - Tyrano Lair There's this little-known obscure Japanese game called Chrono Trigger, it has some decent songs in it and I'd like to pick "Tyrano's Lair" from there. I'm surprised it has no ReMixes on OCR (I'm not joking about that last bit). I remember what made this track particularly atmospheric in the game, was that it played continuously in the Lair, without the battle music interrupting it for fights. -evktalo Midi Deadline: April 1 @ 2PM Wed Vote Ends: April 4 @ 8pm Sat Submit your remix Here when completed. **If you have technical difficulty with account activation at ThaSauce, please contact me via PM and I will submit your track and will also tally your vote** MISSION STATEMENT The goal of Compo:MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. SOME reinterpretation is recommended, but not required. MnP Instructions/Guidelines 1. Covers and Sound Upgrades are permitted. 2. Most or all of the source notes must be present (but not necessarily in the exact same order), secondly the mood (energy, pacing, feelings being conveyed etc) should also be retained. For example, a source tune that is fast-paced and energetic that's remixed into a mellow/chill-out theme would be a hard sell. 3. If you decide to do a genre swap (i.e. symphonic to techno), make sure that the conditions of #2 are met. 4. Submissions must be at a maximum of 20mb (keeping in step with ThaSauce's file size max). 5. Only 1 entry per participant. Previous winner cannot participate but can submit a BONUS entry. 6. All competitors and voters must adhere to the rules stated within: Competition Code and Conduct MISC/TIPS - When picking a source tune, make sure it has a MIDI to make ppl's lives easier. - In-game sound FX are permitted, so long as they don't comprise the whole track (i.e. replacing entire MIDI tracks with just sfx) - Certain sad or moody source tunes don't have drums or percussion for a reason. So keeping it that way may be the easiest way to retain much of the original feel, such as and
  8. I want those guitar samples lol. That tracker metal is probably better than most of my own guitar samples
  9. Results evktalo got 1st place with 21 points yoshiblade got 2nd with 15 points gercr got 3rd with 11 points evktalo, please pick the source tune for round 32. Comments: Wow lotta votes and a decent turn-out to boot. Good round guys!
  10. Aye, it's good to have a compo community that is accessible to amateurs and pros alike. Also, I will have to participate sooner or later in RWTS =D
  11. ...I could never stay awake during D&D...all those rolls, saving rolls and rolls to check to make sure that the roll is a correct roll so that it can be re-rolled. Then rolled again for good measure. Yawn.
  12. No worries guys. MnP won't be going away any time soon (I hope) @ Anorax pm me your entry and I can put it in as a Bonus at some point in the very near future
  13. That's an interesting question that you have posed :3 Yeah I think that Borderlands is like an RPG - Hellgate London was similar to that respect...pity the game flopped. Also, I think that Alundra and Zelda count as they have that RPG feel - action RPG they call it right?
  14. Just learned that I work Sunday night, so I'm gonna just postpone the vote due-date to Monday at 8pm Pacific.

  16. Sounds like my first few submissions at PRC lol. Just remember to play nice and vote fair, or else imma firin' mah lazor. Or I'll just do nothing, which is the most likely thing, unless it is severely blatant and/or someone raises concerns. edit over9000 Just realized that there is only 2 submissions so far, so there's a chance that there may not be a voter's bonus anyhow. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong tomorrow or Thurs =D
  17. You mean from last round? Because voting doesn't begin until the 13th or so. Sweet! Thanks for taking the time to participate eino!
  18. Oh okay, that's a relief. Thanks for enlightening me timaeus222.
  19. Bandcamp only allows .wavs, .aif or .flac - I'm working on an original album and realized that I couldn't edit the tags on .wav - do you know if .aif or .flac are possible to edit??
  20. Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) Round 31: X-Men Mutant Apocalypse - Cyclops's Theme "I was just chillin playing some old games that I haven't played in a long while. 21. How do you edit WAV tags in windows 7? I'm using FL Studio 7 and I put in my data - it won't even save the year and artist name and I can't seem to be able to edit the album name etc. Is there a program or some kind of workaround I could do?
