K step one: boot up game...I'm assuming that you already have these demos recorded but to record demos you just go to console and type "record (demo name)" so you have this demo you want to make into a movie...go to the console again and this time type "host_framerate 30" 30 fps is enough to make a good quality movie without generating a bunch of lag and stuff. But you can make it whatever fps you want it to be. now type "startmovie (movie name)" and then type "playdemo (demo name)" when you're done or at the point where you want the clip/movie to stop type "endmovie" look in your steamapps/(game) folder. there should be a buttload of tga files. now this is where you have to use another program that converts all these tga files into an avi file...most people use virtualdub. I dont have a link where you can download it but im pretty sure its free if you google it. anyway you should be able to do this on your computer however bad it may be.

Ok well for steps you need to realize that steps only count when you touch the ground with a certain force. So when you want to travel just shoot a portal on the ground where you want to go and another portal right below you. You should be in an inifinite loop of going through one portal and going straight back down into the other portal. When you exit through the portal of your destination quickly shoot another portal ( the color of your destination portal) and you will land softly and it won't count to your steps. This is probably the strategy that you will use the most in the steps challenges.

well anso, they released the orange box for xbox360...and they are releasing it for ps3 soon too. But i don't think and official mac version will be released...

k well this is my first post on OCR forums, though signed up on these forums about 9 months ago...and I hang around the IRC channel sometimes...but anyways... Omg wow this game is amazing... personally i loved the credits song at the end... if you wanna here it..the lyrics are there too..I loved the personality of the robot...GLaDOS or whoever it was.. just wanted to put my two cents in about this great game...worth the money IMO (at least the orange box is) If you haven't beaten or played the game yet just look carefully at some of the walls and you will know why "the cake is a lie!" lol I also found something interesting - http://aperturescience.com/ type login and the password is portal from there you can explore it on your own...
