  1. Y'know I kinda wanna see this a third time now.
  2. So uh, there's actually a possibility of me going to mag after all! Let's hope it all comes through.
  3. Taucer is using Tetris Attack metaphors, so he is instantly correct.
  4. Fuck lessons. Almost all my guitaring is self-taught, besides a small bit of inspiration from friends. All you need to do is look up scales and chords on the internet and play those all day.

  5. If you're willing to play hours and hours a day, you should be fairly good in 3 years. It only took Ashane 3 years to reach this level, though he probably practiced a shitload.

  6. Say, are the Game Boy Mega Man games allowed? It'd be real nice if someone did Mars from MMV.
  7. I wish I made music at fucking 14 years old. When you're my age you're gonna be like...god.

  8. Not true. (there's a song from me there as well)
  9. I have opinions and there are things I dislike, but to pick apart at movies and look at small details that effect your opinion of a movie as a whole is a bit silly to me. I'm not saying to like everything, I'm saying there's no need to over-think things and ruin what would otherwise be a great movie for yourself. Unless otherwise said by the director, movies are meant to enjoy what's at face value. You could analyze something very well and make your own interpretations about it, but to let it effect how much you enjoyed the movie, like the poster me and Edge were talking to, just isn't right, especially if it wasn't intended by the director. So the movie is somewhat of a plot rehash. So what? The movie was still enjoyable and it had its own take on the whole Dances with Wolves type plot (is that really the right movie to be referencing here?). I just don't understand how people let small things like that effect every single other thing about the movie that was great. The acting, the characters, the setting, freakin' Pandora itself, most everything was creative or at least entertaining. There's far more good here than bad, so I don't see how that one tiny detail made everything unenjoyable. Geoffery Taucer, one of the most analytical people here, thought the movie was awesome, despite the basic plot being done before. I'm not angry or anything, I just wish you could look past such a small detail and have fun with the movie!
  10. Eh, who cares. I won't give any votebias. Chances are noone else here will vote either.
  11. There's a sort of one in offtopic, but whatever. I have many new toys, but this one triumphs over them all.
  12. I think we might be seeing this a second time tomorrow.
  13. VS. XIII certainly looks interesting to say the least. If it's a more mature Kingdom Hearts, I'm all for it.
  14. Nice to see another metal remixer finally. Hopefully I'll be among your ranks soon. Anyhoo, not bad! The song seems to lack a certain frequency meat to it, perhaps in the low or middle areas, but I'm listening on cruddy computer speakers so perhaps my judgement is a bit biased. You should finish this up and submit it to this month's Dwelling of Duels, as well as the Judge's Panel. The due date for this month's DoD is December 30th at 9:00 PM fyi.
  15. Bah, those are not game ruining things. Silly man. Well, other than the linear part, which is a hit or miss for gamers. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed FFX's linear style, and would like to see it implemented again.
  16. I'm honestly not sure if it's even possible to make something like squidfont reach the capabilities of something like EWQLSO just because there's far less options for tweaking. The original recordings can make a difference too, but I'd have to compare both to make judgments on that. The way I could see it being possible is if there's like, say, a bunch of VSTs out there that emulate the tweaking options of EWQLSO. Namely everything depicted here. So MAYBE squidfont can do it, but it'd take a ton of tweaking. I wish I knew for sure, actually. Has anyone here successfully performed such a task?
  17. Some soundfonts can be really sick. Stuff in the VSTi format is just of higher quality and can be more reliable is all. (or at least most of the time) Still, soundfonts can be a nice cheap solution.
  18. You can do far better than squidfont with the full version of EWQLSO. Silly soundfonts just aren't gonna give you the options you need to make your orchestral instruments sound realistic. That is, unless you REALLY know what you're doing. I applaud the man than can create a realistic sounding orchestra with squidfont, but I don't think it's possible, at least, not with an INSANE amount of tweaking.
  19. sup juan---------

  20. There's more to it than simply putting midi files over the instruments; you have to be able to utilize your virtual instruments in such a way that they are able to sound realistic and convincing using whatever means you have. If your VSTi's are good enough, they should have enough options to alter the sound of your instruments to a point in which you can make them sound realistic, in addition to maybe some external programs and plugins that can help (and these options go FAR beyond simply messing with the volume levels). What you're using can make a difference too, considering using EWQLSO Gold is much different from using some silly soundfonts (of course maybe even those can be tweaked correctly). Practice makes perfect, dawg.
  21. I really wish people wouldn't read so deep into stuff and would simply enjoy what's presented to them. It's awfully depressing.
  22. What are the not-so-good things, may I ask?
  23. FYI Will, if you go along with doing the Downtown theme, I'd totally be willing to collab. Otherwise we could both just do it in our separate styles. (Will = Electronica and Luke = Metal)
  24. I'll take Slash Man. I have to put the Ibanez I got for Christmas to use.
