This ^^^ I didn't even play Super Metroid and I know what Mother Brain is. Jeez.

I'd sure like to see Zircon rethink his opinion on this because it now offers music notation viewing.

Any good chiptune drums VST?
Nabeel Ansari replied to Fernito's topic in Music Composition & Production
I'm not an avid chiptune maker/listener, so I just whipped up a quick ten second tune that I originally wrote to try out the Kontakt Player. I just rewrote the melody and bassline using peach and triforce, and wrote the arp in peach. So yes, Txai is most likely right on this one given I have no experience in chiptune sims. I just wanted to try out the drum samples he posted. xD -
If you're gonna headshot someone why not use the Ambassador?

Wasn't jokin, actually- I purchased a new audio interface and it came with Guitar Rig 4 Pro. I'm not that great at guitar yet, but the amp software makes me sound better than I really am which has caused me to practice a LOT more often. Thanks for the response, now I know it's not hopeless. xD Because I heard that sick Mortal Kombat remix from you guys I'm actually not disappointed anymore.

Here's an example of what you can do with Txai's samples just for fun: Used with Peach and Triforce NES VST's. -
So Guitar Rig 4 isn't good for heavy metal kind of guitars? This disappoints me, because I know own Guitar Rig 4 that came free with an expensive interface... but I WILL make this happen! I WILL SHOW YOU ALL THAT I CAN CREATE GREAT METAL RHYTHM GUITAR TONES WITH GUITAR RIG 4! *proceeds to gloat to self and walks away mumbling*

WAIT Never mind, it seem to be only happening with this project file AND it does it even with onboard audio. What i don't understand is WHY. It's not near 100% CPU load or 0 Db. EDIT: Never mind, had a chat with Zircon. The problem was with Kore Player. Which is pretty weird, actually. It wasn't maxing out my RAM, CPU, or the volume, so I can't figure out why it would clip the audio. But Zircon was right, it was definitely the Kore plug in, because I swapped it out with a soundfont and the audio was crystal clear.

No, it only has an Audio Driver control panel with buffering options and I set everything to high (I only keep it on low to record guitar). I route it through the interface using FL Studio's output dropdown menu in the mixer. (so it doesn't even go through windows, it goes straight to my headphones from the interface) Also no, because other stuff that outputs sound works fine and I don't mix over 0 Db. Also, it still happens even if i lower the master volume until I can't hear a thing.

I used to use the "ASIO4ALL" driver and get sound through the headphone jack on my laptop. I recently acquired a new USB audio interface, Audio Kontrol 1, and I'm having some sound issues in FL Studio when I route the sound to my interface (because that's where I plug my headphones). Whenever I work, I hear slight clipping and can't seem to figure out why. It's not the Audio Kontrol 1 ASIO drivers, because even when I use Asio4all it still clips. I never had this problem when I used the integrated sound card on my laptop. Is this because USB is too slow to handle FL Studio output?

Also, DerangedWhale, The Windows 7 Upgrade advisor tells you if your computer and its applications is okay for Windows 7 and offers diagnosis reports for both 32 bit and 64 bit, so that's a great way to tell you if it's worth installing the 64 bit or not based on what and how many applications it tells you will not be supported by 64 bit. EDIT: I think my sentence was a little confusing, so: Download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft's web site. It'll tell you everything you need to know about whether you should install 32 or 64 bit.

Not to mention they got the X's name wrong. They called him "Rockman". I thought Rockman was just Megaman's japan name?

A 32 bit operating system can only use around a little more than 3 GB of RAM (it addresses 4, but only actually uses around 3.2). If you look at your processor in your system specs and it says "x86", your computer can only support a 32 bit operating system. If your processor says 64, you can use the 64 bit. 64 bit Windows can address a lot of RAM (i think more than current motherboards can even hold). Most 32 bit apps can run in 64 bit OS, so if your processor can do it you usually wanna install the 64 bit version.

Maybe that's your MacBook saying "I don't like you Windows GTFO OFF MY HARD DRIVE" (sarcasm, before the prophet comes in and says something about me not knowing what i talk about yet again)

The thing about Metroid is that it's largely not supposed to be story oriented at all... Retro Studios did a good job with that in Prime 1. THe only story you got was through ancient lore and space pirate database logs. Didn't play Prime 2 so i can't say if the story bogged down the game play, but there was WAAAAYYY too much story and characters and talking in Prime 3. Prime 3 was a very good game, just not a good Metroid game.
