Since there really hasn't been enough response to do this, I'm going to go ahead and get my own pass. Maybe you guys can still get this going but I'm out.

Yeah, I did indeed do that. Some folks are going to make it (due to life) and others have already jumped the gun and purchased a pass.

You'd have to download the samples yourself and use whatever sample player you can load them into. You'll have to build a custom patch but at least you have access to the individual samples.

http://modularsamples.com This guy multi-sampled a bunch of classic (and some newer) synths and unloaded them to the public for free. He's even set them up in various sample player formats as well. While a lot of these synths are already done via VST, it may still appeal to some of you.

I'm going to give this a couple more days to brew and see if there's enough interest. If not, I'm just going to go ahead and get a badge for myself. I really don't want to wait too long.

Is anyone interested in putting a group together? You can save $10 per person if you get more than 8 people. That'd be $40 per person. Please let me know if you're in as soon as possible and we'll get this going. I have no problem organizing this if we get enough folks together.

I hit Burke Lake Park yesterday and did a bunch of field recording. There will be some bird sounds, foot steps in the woods, chains, a train, and more! I have some new sounds up on my Freesounds.org page. I just added a handful of sound recordings of my car. The door slam sound actually makes a pretty good percussion one shot. I'm hoping to get to a local park soon to do some recording but the weather hasn't been cooperating lately. Soon, though!

I'm in the process of building my own library of field recordings and sounds. I've decided to let most of them loose on my Freesound.org page as a way of giving back to the community there. All sound will be on a Creative Commons license and some of them will be available for commercial projects. Right now there are only a few recordings there but I have quite a few that are waiting on moderators to accept. I'll be adding more and more on a consistent basis. This could be good as long as they stick with the original concept. If they take the Fraggles as a whole out of Fraggle Rock, then it'll be absolutely terrible. That's what I'm most worried about. They should have minimal interaction with any human characters. I'm quite a bit fan of Fraggle Rock myself since I watched it during the original run when I was kid. I now own all of the DVDs.

Make sure it's a 64bit version of the plugin you're using. Logic will not see it otherwise.

A lot of folks do master their own stuff these days out of necessity. While it's not the optimal thing to do, it can be done. I always suggest to people that they read Mastering Audio by Bob Katz. Okay, here's the deal. I'm the sound designer for a show for this coming spring. I have a few things that a crowd of spectators chant and I'm looking for about ten people to record some very short lines for me. Great job everyone! Unfortunately, I've not paid much attention to this thread this past week with play rehearsals starting up for the spring show I'm working on. Much thanks to Darren to putting this thing together. You are a gentleman and a scholar!

It looks like a very interesting project! I filled out the information on the page that you linked but feel free to contact me here as well.

I do need to sit down with the voice channel and tune things in a bit more to my voice. It has a lot of options for a moderately priced piece of gear. Also, things in that closet aren't perfect. There are still some things that I still need to tame in there. This setup has been working well for me, though, and I haven't had any clients complain about the quality of the audio that I send them.
