  2. Hello, To be succinct, since I know the judges are busy people, here is the necessary information. ReMixer - LeonHeart of the Flame Game - Skies of Arcadia Piece Name - Smooth Sailing Link- I have tried unsuccessfully several times so far to submit, but only because I don't think I've managed to get a working link to you guys. Hopefully, I've fixed the link problem and this time I will prove successful. I've made it my mission to systematically remix a great deal of Skies of Arcadia music, which has proven quite challenging, since the music is already so well done. While I have quite a few remixes that are nearly finished but in the endless process of being polished, I felt that this remix, Smooth Sailing, was as done as I could make it. In my own opinion, it may not be my best as of yet, but it recieved fairly positive reviews from the WIP forum. I'd simply like to have this one reach the judging process. Thanks for your time, LeonHeart of the Flame
  3. Greetings again, dj pretz (or judges). I've got a new song for you. This is a remix of the Fortuna Theme from Starfox, for the SNES. The only thing remaining from the original is the melody - I took some serious liberties with tihs one. Title: (IMC 17) Ancient Legends Handle: Unknown (of course) Size: about 3.5 mb Length: 3:35 min Thanks for your time, guys. Hope you like this. ~Ty
  4. Star Control 2, Property of the Crimson Corporation Remix of Druuge theme. Remixer: Mark Vera I'll be submitting more of my Star Control 2 remixes later but let's start with this one. This is part of the official The Ur-Quan Masters remixing project and was remixed in a real hurry on the release date. Despite that it turned very nice. Unfortunately the guitars aren't real. I had start of the remix made earlier, but the song really got it's form just in a couple of hours just before deadline. I'd say this song would fit well into Doom-category too, but this is a remix of the Druuge theme in Star Control 2. // Jouni -- Jouni Airaksinen // markvera[at]spacesynth.net // www.spacesynth.net/markvera www.spacesynth.net the place where spacesynth scene meets!
  5. This is my second submission to your site. It's a rendition of "Theme of Love" from Final Fantasy 4, my favorite song of the series. Hope you enjoy it.
  6. Gets some more variety at the end. Quirky; I liked it... -djp HI. It's a "Puzzle Bobble / Bust-A-Move" remix, named "Silver Dragon's Bubbles". Length: 3min 21 sec. File Size: 3,07 MB. Some infos about the games (including sounds and music): http://taito.overclocked.org/pbobble.html I've got an OCR profile ("COUCOU"): http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=6655 but here I confirm some informations: Remixer NAME: COUCOU WEB: http://gjandot.free.fr/ MAIL: gjandot@freesurf.fr Thanks.
  7. Ok.. Here's a remix which my friend and I put together a while ago.. We have sent it a couple of times to the Overclocked. No answer, not even whether it has been rejected or approved. We have checked the forums too. So I thought it's time to resend this baby. Anyway, it's a cover from scratch, a cover from the Dr. Wily's Skull Castle stage 1 from Mega Man 2. Since we worked as a team, let remixer name be the Axes of Wily. Here's the URL: Cheers, Ari Lavander
  8. Name - Adept Mercenary Game - Boulderdash Title - Analog Caves This is my 1st remix, and 3rd time I am sending it. I hope this time it gets throught =| .
  9. OCR judges... Well, I see my first track got rejected, so I'd like to introduce another HALO Piece. After reading your comments on the first one, I totally respect what you had to say and I completely agree about it being an "extended" intro piece.. Which.. btw is what is was composed for exactly! It was for a trailer-esk video my friend was creating. I don't know if its a good thing that you guys said it belonged on a Demo Sample CD or not? So, with the first one on a unamious "NO", I'd figure I'd keep trying. The HALO theme is interweaved within the piece giving it a rustic and ethnic flavor. I meant for this piece to be a replacement music for one of the snow scenery boards within the game. Sneaking up on the enemy. Slowly getting more and more into the heat of the battle. Its more of a "stand back and watch" with patience. Hopefully you guys will enjoy this one a lot more than the previous track. If not.. I'll keep on trying!! (got a good CoutnerStrike Montage mix) =) -j
  10. Hey pretzel guy. It is I, Dj Orange. I've grown less and less fond of the title 'DJ' over the past few blah blah blah... but meh. Today I am making a submission, but also, if it's not too much trouble, I would like to withdraw a previous submission (or two). Title: FungusFunktion Game: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Song: Mysterious Woods from Link's Awakening Artist: Dj Orange I'm quite pleased with this one. It's kind of funky, hence the title. I don't really like describing my own music - make up your own mind(s). I did the ID3v2 tags. And now to mention those submissions that I am not quite pleased with. Currently I have in the queue: Super Mario Bros 3 - Lose Your Way Maze Mega Man 3 - Shadow Man (Dish Fight) Yoshi's Island - Nu Adventure Wonder Boy 3 - Dragon Food That's quite a number of remixes, and some of them I feel will not appeal to the judges, so I wish to remove: > Mega Man 3 - Shadow Man (Dish Fight) > Wonder Boy 3 - Dragon Food from the queue. If it is more trouble than it's worth to find these submissions and delete them from the queue, meh, that's okay. If it isn't, great, but don't delete Yoshi's Island - Nu Adventure please! Heheh. ~Davy Jones Orange
  11. This is my first submission to OC ReMix. It's a mix of Corridors of Time, from Chrono Trigger. Obviously, there are tons of versions of this song out there, but I felt that a familar tune for my first effort would be a good idea. Here's the link: Hope you enjoy it. Dawboy
  12. get Cave_of_Forsaken_HeroesOC.mp3 from HTTP serv This is my first submission, first remix, and first completed song. Created with FL Studio Producer, mouse, and keyboard. I've been a fan of the site for years, and thought Crystalis needed some respect. I did NOT do this mix with the idea of Halloween in mind. The timing is just a bit coincidental. I look forward to seeing it bashed by the judges. Remix: Cave of Forsaken Heroes Captain of Oblique IX Email: cptnobliqueiix@aol.com
  13. Okay, so I've got yet another submission for OCR. This is a remix of the Special Stage and Race Results themes from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I personally don't like the Special Stage theme; I think it's a terrible piece of music in the game, but so many people were requesting this song over and over again that it was getting on my nerves, so I decided to remix the song just to shut them all up. The Race Results song was added in the middle because I do happen to like that song, and I felt that it fit pretty nicely and didn't get the coverage it deserved in terms of remixing. Anyway, here's the song. It's called Dream Pipe. Hope you enjoy it, at least. Mixer: DarkeSword Email: darkesword@exphyl.com Site: http://www.darkesword.com/ I noticed that my remixer profile doesn't have my website in it; if it's not too much trouble, do you think you could add it? Until the next submission, Shariq Ansari, aka DarkeSword
  14. hi i sent an email with a link to this a couple of months back, and haven't heard anything... i checked in the judges forum to see if it had been rejected, but couldnt find it, so im assuming you never got the email, so im sending it again. title: Oppressed People Big Band (remix of oppressed people from ff7) remixer: Lau i like to think the people of the slums formed a band and decided to improve their standard of living through jazz cheers lau
  15. G'day. It's TO again. I realise most of my past pieces haven't been outstanding. I think I've broken that drought with this one. I don't want to spoil any of it. I just want to mention it has pretty heavy bass, and alot of variety. I've tried to make everything fit as well as I could without overusing anything. The original piece is from map30 in Doom 2. (It sounds best if you listen to it with sound and sub up loud.) Game: Doom 2 Song Name: Map30 Hells Marshal Remixer Name: TO Original Song Name: Opening to Hell Email: the_orichalcon@hotmail.com Site Address: http://www.orichalcon.co.nr The song is hosted on geocities and there is a link on my page, so there's a chance it will be down, please try again in an hour if that happens. if the link doesn't work there is a link on my site. I hope you like it as much as I do. Stay Well, TO
  16. Proper ID3 tags and filename this time, and (probably) in a reliable place. Songs: Resurrection (Terranigma) Birth of a Continent - Music Box (Terranigma) Another World (Chrono Cross) -Red Omen
  17. My name: Sedge Mix title: Blooberfest (SMB3 Water Music) The server is kind of slow... Please give it a few tries if it doesn't work at first... I hope I got the ID3v1 tags right... Thx! - Eric
  18. Yo, This is J:/Drive of WaveTheory. I recently have been doing a lot of music on my own, and such. I would like to submit this OLD peice that I did a while back in 2001. Around the same time I did "A World Awaits Chrono". This is the "GAME OVER" phrase or theme(which ever musical term you wanna use) of Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. It has sampled audios ranging from the games actual gun fire to clips of Snake, Otacon, and the Lutenat. It keeps the basic GAME OVER theme but ventures off into a highly original composition BUT! keeps a very METAL GEAR SOLID feel and theme. I consider it a REMIX, because it revolves around that little GAME OVER phrase and I wouldn't have come up with any of the other melodies without that one phrase. So I hope you enjoy, it's more hip hop flavor, so it might be harder for some to enjoy, and might not be your cup of tea. Anyhow, it's older, and the quality might not be up to WaveTheory PAR, but I still want to submit it. It was meant to be submitted along with A.W.A.C. but, ya know? can't submit 2 at the same time. I also tried to submit my 600 A.D. theme, but I guess that was declined. Anyhow, here's the information: artist: JDriveWT game: Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty title: Snake Sports Puma to Break Genre: Electronic Hip Hop Thanks pretzel. Even if it's not submitted, I'll get workin' on another one soon. hmmm.. what to do that nobody has done yet...
  19. Well, he submitted two back to back and this was the better of the two, so if he withdraws it then the other FF6 sub, which wasn't as good, won't be posted either. Do you know him or can you see if this affects his decision?
  20. Hey there, I know you're busy, so I'll keep it short. Original Song: "Forest Interlude" - Enchanted Wood Remix Title: A Stroll in the Wood Remix URL: Remix Format: mp3 :: 5.90 MB :: 196kbps VBR ReMixer Name: TriforceOfMusic Website: http://www.triforceofmusic.com/ Email: triforceofmusic@triforceofmusic.com -- Sid Thanks for your time.
  21. Hm, yeah. Here is my newest and best remix. Hard Zero 2003 Oc Remix The remix is from Zero's Theme in MegaMan X4. I REALLY hope this one gets accepted. This is my best mix ever. I have allready a remix of Zero's theme in MegaMan X4, But Hard Zero 2003 is way much better than ZeroTheUltimateWarrior, my old remix. So if you want so can you delete my old remix of Zero's Theme (ZeroTheUltimateWarrior) But that can you do what you want to. Here is the Link to Hard Zero OC Remix: The server is a little slow, But i hope you can take your time to download this. This server is extremely slow, get from judge HTTP or mirror ftps -Dj MetaZero
  22. Here's an interesting one. I've been toying with this for quite some time now, especially ever since I heard the "Black Mages" album. It's a solo version of the FF6 Battle theme done in a hard rock piano style. There's quite a bit of myself in this. Ever since about 5 years ago I got hooked on bands like Yes, Dream Theater, and Genesis (all bands that Uematsu has admitted having heavy influence by), I've developed quite a repertoire of patterns, bass lines, thematic elements and whatnot to use, as a jazz musician will build an encyclopedia of licks and motifs in which to draw from. This piece, like much of Uematsu's battle music, falls squarely into this genre of prog rock/metal with it's driving melodic elements, multi-sectioned form, and classical motivic overtones. Oh well, I'm rambling, but in any case, after a while of playing with this, I thought it would be fun to insert a snapshot of the FF prelude into intro, as well as adding some transitional content. It took me a while to get a decent recording, as it's speed lends itself well to muddying a good recording. I finally got an adequate take though, although there are a few week spots. Many hours in the recording studio yielded this take. In any case, this definitely is the direction I'm heading for arranging these days. I have a piano arrangement of Hunter Chance FF9 (that I'd love to do, but is quite difficult to get down correctly), and of course, as everyone has one, "Some day the dream will fade" from FFX, but since that's so piano friendly, I doubt I'll even bother sending it. Edit: You asked for it by tomorrow, I've got it I just finished an almost 4 hour studio recording session, and have come out with the final version of the FF6 Battle theme, now entitled: "Final Fantasy VI - Battle Theme (Ivory Metal mix)" So, you can now go ahead and tell the judges to throw out the file I sent, and to download this file: Thanks for doing this, I know it wasn't exactly the normal route. -Noir
  23. Interesting... somewhat flat at times; we don't see alot of solo instrumentals outside of piano, however... email sub file celticscars.mp3 -djp Hi This is a very simple remix of some Chrono Cross themes, mainly Time's Scar. There are also hints of other themes and even a bit of the LotR theme blended in. This is my live playing of the Celtic flute with a little reverb effects added for some flavor. I'm not much of a musician, so this remix may not be up to par, but I just thought I'd share it with you guys and fans of OCremix if possible. Thanks for taking time to hear my submission!
  24. Remember that there is no minimum length limit, please email sub file Turtles intro.mp3 - djp Turtles intro on nes 8-bit. Christian Bingmark - Sweden stingaborg@hotmail.com
