  1. Greetings. Been a little while since my last submission, and having finished this up a month ago roughly, I thought I'd send it in. This is a remix of the main theme in the game Moon Patrol. Called "Alone On the Darkside", my remix takes a bit of a blues/swing approach to the beat and rhythm, and it uses harmonies that, while not "spooky" are bit more eerie in their sound. It's also got a bit of a retro sound in the synths and such as well. I wrote a lot of new material for this remix as the original song had what... two "instruments" through the entire thing? Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that the "muffled", somewhat "distant" sound that's been accompanying my remixes is greatly reduced, and the "quietness" has also been addressed. The samples are basically the same, but the mixing quality is improved and it's louder. Let's hear it for tinkering and discovery eh? Anyway, here's the link to the remix... ... and here's the needed info (even though the ID3 tags have been filled out)... Remixer- aka The Coop Copyright- Williams System- Arcade Year- 1982 Original Composer- unknown Hope you enjoy the remix and have a good one.
  2. Hey, A month or two ago, I posted an arrangement of the Silence theme from F-Zero on VGMix2. I didn't pay too much attention to mastering on the initial mix, so I thought that I should remaster it before submitting to OCR. I really didn't tweak it that much, I just took off the heavy reverb, did some more leveling and eq'd it a bit more. As for the arrangement itself, this isn't as carefully and thoroughly executed as "Live From the Yggdrasil." I learned the changes to Silence, thought of some ideas, then just started recording. After a couple takes, I had come up with something I was satisfied with. The result is a rougher, more candid piano arrangement, with much more improvisation than my previous work. I hope you enjoy it. Game: F-Zero Track: Silence ReMix: Silent Progression (remastered) ReMixer: JigginJonT
  3. Game: Beatmania IIDX and/or DDR (There have been several mixes of this tune used between these two Konami games. It appeared first in IIDX I am told.) Remix Name: Kick Your A Original Title: A Original Artist: DJ Amuro Mixer: SuperGreenX As with my other DDR mix, 4F73R M3, this song was created specifically for these games by a Konami in house artist, so it should be kosher for OC. I made this mix with two audiences in mind. Obviously, there's the game remix community, but I also have a following over at flashflashrevolution.com, so I tried to satisfy both groups. For the remixing doods, I put a lot of effort into changing around lots of harmonies, adding harmony to pretty much every melody that had none in the original, and created a new main melody (played by both the violin and squarewave synth). 4F73R M3 got some flak from people saying it wasn't different enough arrangement-wise, so I'm trying to prevent that this time. I tried to make all of these changes while still satisfying those less-skeptical FFR users who probably want to hear things they will recognize, so I kept the similar structure (slow section, then super hyper double time section) and kept the piano run similar-ish but with some extra, almost jazzy chords. Hope you dig. Btw, if this hasn't been changed yet, could you switch my url to www.supergreenx.com? Thanks! -SGX

  9. Note - though he describes a klonoa mix, what's there is Morrowind, so we're judging that, I guess -djp djpretzel, Howdy! A friend reccommmended your site, and I'm diggin' it. Anyway, I've been making music as a hobby for a while now, and your site inspired me to make a remix of one of my favorite games, Klonoa. I've included the URL below, so if you get a moment, please check it out. I noticed that no one has done any Klonoa remixes, and that's a crying shame! Thanks for your time, and keep up the good work on the site! Sincerely, "Stiz 9" Mike Weinstein
