  1. You know, I'm usually pretty good about catching errors like that. My mistake. Still though, you'd think this Doctor would be able to say "Hi" to people every once in a while. Then again, I guess you don't really have to when you can single-handedly dispatch an entire swarm of headcrab zombies with a crowbar.
  2. I believe OneUp Studios did an arrangement of the entire album too. CPacaud did a piano arrangement of The Beginning and the End that I think is a pretty good arrangement of the piece. It doesn't deviate too much from the original, but turning a choral piece like that into something instrumental is no easy feat, I think.
  3. The battle theme for the sinistrals is one of the tracks that first got me into video game music, so if someone ever did something with that, I'd be sold entirely. Lufia as an RPG series is pretty underappreciated, I think. But it is my opinion that the soundtrack rivals some of the early final fantasy music. Maybe Nintendo will get their act together and release it on VCON instead of another Wonder Boy game.
  4. You know, while I'm not a real big fan of halo either (People claiming the plot dealing with ring-worlds is completely original haven't heard of Larry Niven apparently), I couldn't stand Half-Life 2's narrative device in Gordon Freeman. I mean, I respect the half-life games and all and what they did for the FPS genre as a whole, but there was just something about playing as this mute, genius physicist-turned-messiah figure that rubbed me the wrong way. Nothing came off more nonsensical to me than having conversations with various people that quickly turned one-sided because for all the scientific knowledge and sea-saw building skills Dr. Freeman possessed, he couldn't say so much as a "I'm fine" to people trying to talk to him. That being said, I'm pretty sure Master Chief is really just Vin Diesel with a voice modifier under that helmet. I mean, have you head some of his lines?
  5. Hey, I'm new to the forums but not to the site. I think I've been lurking around since the "blue look" if anyone gets that, sometime in March of 2003. Since I'm not much of a stranger, I noticed that you guys needed some donations so I went ahead and dropped $110.00. Consider it a sort of "internet penance" for all the bandwidth I've taken downloading music from the site over the years. Its been great seeing this site and its music grow into what it is today and I look forward to what it may evolve into in the years to come. Now, hopefully I too can have an opportunity to share in what you all have created in this little pocket of the internet. ~Erik
  6. Hello there. I'm new to these forums, but not exactly new to this site. A quick little backstory-ish: I first stumbled across OCR while looking for some Shinobi III music and downloaded the only remix from that particular soundtrack by one Mr. Rayza. Since then, I've been dropping by the site pretty frequently, indulging in the many musical offerings here. That's right ladies and gents, I'm a lurker from ALL the way back in 2003. I'm not sure if being a stalker on OCR for nearly six years deserves a medal or a straitjacket, but regardless, I think its high-time I ditched my voyeuristic ways and tried to take a more hands-on approach with a community whose music has impacted me in a positive manner. Hell, I even bought an OCR Jersey a couple years back. So that's my wee little testimony. I could write up something a little more extensive later, but I think its better if I put my money where my mouth is. Can someone tell me if I've missed the cut-off date for donating to that fund-raiser? I feel like I should give a little something after all the bandwidth I've sucked up for the past few years. Edit: Donation's all taken care of. Hope it helps. ~Erik
