  1. Hahaha, douce France! Ca fait plaisir de rencontrer qql1 qui sait ce que c'est que le plaisir de la baguette de pain et du fromage bien fait :)

  2. Hi! Here is the last vesion. http://www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter I've made the record with a real acoustic piano, so the result is cleaner. I think the mix is nearly finished. There is only the end where I made a little mistake. The last concord must be more late. I'll try to correct it at the last trainning I don't hope to post this some day on OCR. I know the arrangement is not enough for standards. But, I hope this piece has now more consistency. Hope you enjoy !
  3. Oh! I didn't see the song wasn't visible on this page. I put it on the first position. Now you can listen it!
  4. Some updates ! http://www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter I think the whole piece is more coherent. I notably worked on the rythm and on the end. I tried also to have better balance between drum and orchestra. Hope you enjoy !!
  5. Thanks guys for comment! I agree this version need more expression. Normally, with a real piano, there are more contrasts between different parts. I’m going to work more on arrangement (some transitions don’t work IMO). And, I’ve to train more on piano. After, I hope I can make the real record!
  6. Hi! This is an arrangement of ff10’s Twilight in Piano. I really love the original music of Junya NAKANO, atmospheric, and very murky! Source : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7zqbhUl3H8&feature=search Mix : In the introduction and at the ending, I use a little the principle of arpeggios of “The Deceased Laugh” by Nobuo UEMATSU. In this piece, I tried to keep the sinister atmosphere of the original track. Sorry about the prod, I recorded this by my poor way . I used an analogic cordon wich I plugged on my PC, hence the blower. When the arrangement will be finished, I’ll record this with a real acoustic piano. Some parts are also too difficult to me; but, idem, with a real piano I think I’ll manage more to play it. Any feedbacks, good or bad, are welcome! Hope you enjoy... Thanks
  7. Hi guys !! Here is an arrangement of the Helvétie Theme in Asterix on Game Boy. For this mix, I wanted an atmosphere very sunny! Here the source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4S2vXj5quc&feature=PlayList&p=A802A9D27E002D4F&playnext_from=PL&index=4&playnext=1 And the mix: http://www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter# It’s an orchestral remix with a rhythm of brass band. I didn’t really change the structure of the piece, I worked almost on instrumentation. Please tell me what you think! I'm open to any suggestion to upgrade this piece. I hope you enjoy this arrangement
  8. Oh so nice ! I love the Celtic side of this mix, very refreshing. The acoustic guitar is absolutely beautiful, and the voices… Oh the voices, magnificent to cry! As if it wasn’t enough, there is a 2nd part, more rock, but witch follow on perfectly with the beginning. The rhythm 7/8 is very original and used virtuously. This mix is so beautiful I can listen it in loops!! Thanks for that!
  9. WHAT A SHAME! Replace all the artist creativity by a vulgar algotrithm! I don’t understand how we simply can have the idea to automate musical creation. The Remixinator project could be a good idea, but not to replace the work of all real musicians. All projects are cancelled !!! Several month of work of dozen of passionate artists… cancelled! Why? Because now, there is a new game on the site: making music in one click. It’s a real wonder of technology… but which price? I think you're right!!!
  10. Very thanks Emunator for your comment and for your precision! I know, after the soft part (3’00), I’ve to change the transition. I’m thinking about a crescendo of orchestra just before the next part (3’30). So I would have a better continuity in the orchestra’s part. But I can’t increase the volume; else I’ll lose the spirit “soft” of this part. For the guitar, I’m afraid that some parts are not workable by a real player, in particular for the arpeggios. But yes, I think would the result would be better. I could introduce some effects I don’t manage to do with my software. I’ll see with a guitarist if it’s possible. A very long time I’ve started this mix, and I’m really impatient to see the result. Tanks a lot for your critic!!
  11. Ok ! For the last version I've worked to correct sounds of the drums part (I think it was the problem), and to have a better balance metal/orchestra. I think the result's better ! Maybe, I've to work on a better transition after the soft part (I've just see that!). But after, I think the mix'll be ready. What do you think about this ? Links : DELETED Thank you for feedbacks !!!
  12. It's beautiful ! But I think it's difficult to recognize the original. I like the instrument you add at 1'00 for the atmosphere... very strange. It's a good beginning, I wait to see this piece more developped. Continue !
  13. Thanks very much for your comment HoboKA ! Yeah, I’m proud of the composition on this mix, almost at 2’10 when choirs start. At 2’50, the tempo is the same, but beats are no more ternary but divided by 4, hence the effect of acceleration. I know the production is not still perfect. Is it only some points I have to correct, or is it globally? I agree that the metal part needs to be beefed up, I work on that. Maybe at the beginning, but I think after the intro, it’s a real arrangement. Thanks for your comments! Don’t hesitate if you have other ideas, I really want to hear this mix, finished !
  14. Hi Guys ! And this is my mix from Movin’ in its last version! I’ve corrected problems of the version before: better sounds for part metal, ending cleaner… For the structure, I started like the original, I developed and the mix finished by the ending of ff7. I think this melody unites good with the MOVIN’s theme. Originals: ff8 movin : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9PcnZKmyxs ff7 world crisis : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImEL5ZKxuRc THE LAST VERSION : http://www.reverbnation.com/#!/bluelighter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5Rwz7fdZyw
  15. Thanks for your nice comments!!! I agree, the volume overall is too low. For the first version, I made a unique record (just to see the global style). So, I can’t increase volume without saturation. But, in the definitive, I’ll make a record for instrument one by one, and I can play on volume. You’re right; I’ll reduce volume for xylophone. At the moment, I don’t manage to get a just proportion between melody and accompaniment. I’ll work on that. For the ending, it’s what I wanted, the effect sudden. Fanfare with brass and timpani disappear straight of, to leave place with only the harp and the flute. I think the effect is good. But I agree that the last accord with woodwinds don’t work. I’ll change that ! Thank’ s for your suggestion
  16. Thanks Shinigami for your comment ! Yeah, maybe the xylophone is to see again. It's a midi sounds, I've the real instru on Final but not enough low. I'll see! I know that the melody is a little close to the source, but the arrangement is in the instrumentation. I think it makes the difference. I work on percu, I’ll see the result. If I get something better, I transmit.
  17. Hi Guys ! Here it’s my mix of Cleyra’s Theme from ff9, a melody… very nice. I love it! So, I try to make an arrangement faithful to the original’s spirit (very joyful!!!), but with a new atmosphere. I tried to make a progression in the instruments. It begins in the Celtic’s style with only flute (and woodwinds), violin, harp, and pizz. I add in the 2nd part percussions like xylophone and bells. And the piece finishes in brass band... I find the result very fun!! I think it’s a nearly finished. I have now to add percussions (like tambourine an djumbe and snare drum). At that time, I only use Final as software, and I don’t have sounds I want for percussion. This version is ready; I’ll see percu in a next step. In fact, I’m not sure other percussions are really necessary. So, what do you think about this?
  18. Yeah it's a good idea ! I'll try to do this for all the metal part. Maybe for the drum, reprogramming with an other software could be sufficient. I'm not sure that the drum part is realy passable with a real player. Thank's for advice !!
  19. I didn't see guitar was so bad. But it's not MIDI ! With Guitar PRO, we use RSE (Realistic Sound Engine), so it must sound like a real guitar. But, with all your feedbacks, I think there's a real pb. Maybe I have to increase humanization of playing to have a more realist sound. Or the instrument is not well chose. If I can’t resolve this, I’ll use an other software. What about the bass? Does it sound correctly? Theoretically, it’s sound with the same quality as the guitar. After posting, I saw that at the part 1, orchestra is not enough loud compare to the metal line. It’s also maybe the reason why the guitar sounds to be too many. I have to work to a better balance. For the structure, I know that the intro is similar to the original. My own arrangement starts when metal part begins. It’s freer from the transition on (1’20), and very different from the source at the parts 3 and 4. So I think it’s a real arrangement. Do you think it’s too close to original?
  20. Hi Guys !! Here it is the last version of the mix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-yPIuZvfWA This time, the structure is completed. · Part 1 : o 0’’ Intro o 27’’ announce of the melody o 1’20’’ transition · Part 2 : Main Theme a (3 times) o 1’35 violin solo *2 o 1’55 brass · Part 3 : Variation : o 2’05 Violin & Chorus o 2’26 Arpeggio of the intro o 2’47 Part ultra speed (very small extract from ff9 battle Theme 2) · Part 4 : 3’08 soft · Part 5 : 3’38 Main Theme b · Part 6 : 4’12 finale (extract from ff7's world crisis) Well, for the last part, I’m not sure it’s really coherent with the global mix. What do you think ? Some upgrades since the last version : · Structure nearly completed, with a part more free · Adding of some instruments : o orchestra percussion o chorus in part 3 o harp in part 4 But, I have also some problems: · I don’t find satisfying ending · Since the part 5, I find bass and guitar too repetitive. Maybe I should add some effect with guitar more speed · As you have certainly notice, there is of problem of recording at the ending. It’s because, I wanted to reduce tempo. I specified precise during for each note on my 2 software, but they play differently. I don’t understand (!!??) · For orchestral percussion, should I more develop? I’m afraid, to degenerate in electro orchestra; wich is not the spirit of the mix. · In some part, I don’t manage to get a satisfying record with guitar Pro o Part 3c (ff9, battle2), sounds of snare drums are not equal (I hope, we can’t hear it too much) o Part 3b : the Arpeggio is different from what I wanted. I chose a clean electric guitar to have a clear sound, and I can’t get a sound… clean -> If so use Guitar Pro, I would be delighted to have some advice J In spite, of this some points, we can have a good idea of the final arrangement. What do you think? If you have some ideas, advices… don’t hesitate. Master Uematsu deserve a good mix for his music and I really want to progress! Thanks for feedback !
  21. Sure, it's not ready yet. I've haven't the end, the balance metal/orchestra is not still perfect. But I think it's good to have a first opinion. I've ideas to complete mix. I work on this, and when I'll a real base, I'll start to work on the global mixing. Thanks
  22. Hi ! Yes, I think also. ff8’s soundtrack is simply exceptional ! Here it is the new version of the mix. DELETED The main upgrades are : - guitar more accentuated for its solo (maybe too much some time…) - part metal globally accentuated - brass reduced in middle part to have a better accent on the melody. I think the transition is more natural After that, I’ll add some accent of percussion of orchestra and work for the end. So, what do you think about this? Thanks you
  23. At the moment, my difficulty is to balance metal and orchestra. If metal is too powerfull, we don’t hear the orchestra. And in the contrary, if I reduce sound of metal, I lose in rhythm. So, yes I think, bass drum is a good solution to increase power of orchestra. For the end, I’m working on an transition toward a part more metal. I want it more heavy than the beginning. But I still hesitate with other ideas. So we'll see ! Thanks !
  24. Hi guys ! I am working for few months on a remix of Movin from ff8. I wanted to make an orchestra arrangement with some metal sounds. For this project, I use software Final 2008, Guitar Pro 5 and magic music maker for the mixing. So here it’s the original music, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9PcnZKmyxs And the first version : DELETED HERE FOR THE LAST VERSION : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-yPIuZvfWA The ending is still to work, I don’t yet have a solid structure. I think I will add may be 2 minutes on the final mix. So, what do you think of the present mix? I’m open of any suggestions ! Thanks you for your feedbacks ! Bluelighter
