  1. Because I can use it for all sorts of stuff, like making a conceited website all about ME! (In other words, a blank page.) Anyway, I've set up the forums, finally! Go to http://kylejcrb.com/forum/ if you want to discuss the project or your WIP outside of the public eye. I'll be updating the website with the link to the forums soon. Don't forget the new site URL (http://talesproject.kylejcrb.com) too!
  2. I've always wanted my own name as a .com.
  3. New website URL You can now find the website at: http://talesproject.kylejcrb.com. Update your sigs and bookmarks! (Yes, I am aware that the Music, Staff & Musicians, and Forum buttons do not work. They will soon enough. )
  4. Greatest song ever. Though it's "post", not burst. analoq said he would join if we absolutely needed somebody (IE; somebody drops at the last minute, or somebody sucks at remixing and we need somebody who doesn't...stuff like that ), but he's like, the last resort guy. I'll try maybe asking a few other people first.
  5. analoq's burnt out on projects, and Carbunk1e never replied to my PM (Judging by his post about his current work for the Doom project, I'm assuming he's just out of time). Dang, this just isn't working, is it?
  6. I PMed GLL about getting on again, but he didn't seem terribly enthusiastic about it. Might be time to hit the recruiting blocks again...VGMix has some likely candidates, I think.
  7. So...Does anybody want to pick up Aviators from ToP? It's the only song left, since I have a potential mixer for Law of the Battle. Anyone who's not a part of the project yet, or doesn't plan on going with an alternate song not listed want to grab it?
  8. Does this apply to Overcoat? I liked the arrangement a lot! I didn't think the intro was interesting enough to go on for a full 30 seconds though. If I recall, some of NutS' earlier arrangements had intros that lasted longer than 2 minutes, so he's really toned it down now. Sounds great, NutS! One of the synths is a little loud, but otherwise, a good start.
  9. Because my current web host is being very flakey (I can't even access the Control Panel right now, and it seems that the server administrators are all dead, or something), I've been shopping around for some new web hosting. I've found what looks to be a damn good deal, and it looks like I'll finally get to own kylejcrb.com, . Once I get this hosting, the site should be transitioning to the new server in the next couple of days. The new hosting will have both a lot more storage space and a lot more bandwidth, which will be helpful when it comes time to release the project. I'll also be creating a forum soon (Lea, this is your cue to create a "Forum" button. ) so those who want to discuss their arrangements or whatever in private will be able to do so. Exciting times ahead, folks!
  10. The website has been updated a bit. Let me know if there are any problems (especially you picky people who were claiming to have problems last time ).
  11. Haha, if you guys think OCR has been getting a slew of rock remixes lately, you guys should check out the Stuff of Legends tier over at VGMix; I think 90% of it is rock and metal. I think the Dwelling of Duels is to blame, partially. EDIT: "For-Tuna"? Is that related to "Bad Tuna"? I think it's "Forchoona" =P
  12. A certain someone mentioned this one when we talked yesterday, so you might see a remix of it. No, it wasn't DarkeSword, and something tells that neither him nor NutS will want to pick up another song. Well, NutS, anyway. =P
  13. Haha, that is correct! *breaks out the whip* Now back to work, my remixing minions! *CRACK!* Power trips aside, I believe that I may have a prospective remixer for the final song of the Symphonia part of the project. Those details will come further into light later today, hopefully. Other than that, keep sending your WIPs to me, folks! We're progressing along on this project pretty rapidly so far, so keep up the good work! ...*CRACK!* Mwahahahahaha!
  14. Tell that to the guys in the Sonic 3 & Knuckles project thread.
  15. Hey, I come from UnMod; I'm pretty used to threadjacking! So, how bout' that new ABBA album? ...ABBA's still alive?
  16. Hey, I come from UnMod; I'm pretty used to threadjacking!
  17. It was brought to my attention that Castle of the Dhaos would be difficult for even a skilled musician to remix, and if you listen to it, it does sound pretty strange. There will be a song (or possibly two) put in its place, but I'm not sure what yet; I have to talk to a few people about it. *coughGhettoLeeLewiscough* Also, if you remember the original written rule correctly, those who already have two songs (or more, but that's not the case right now) claimed are exempt from the ability to choose an unlisted song. I did that because I don't believe it'd be fair for one person to have a bunch of songs like that; it'd be much better to change it up a bit so there's an all-around better mix of people (and therefore, styles) on the final project.
  18. I don't think that someone will just step up to you and claim your song. Don't worry too much about it. Having it already claimed by yourself holds off the people Usa's right; you should be okay. Master Link: I'm giving your WIP a listen now.
  19. You mean, we have to know which second track we want to remix by that time already? I thought I could take some time to think a bit more about it... Nah, you'll have time to think, but you never know who might step up and grab the track you want before you have a chance to claim it.
  20. Since we are getting extremely close to almost completely filling this project, I have decided to initiate phase two: The remixing stage. I have also started locking down certain tracks, which means that that the remixer on the track has proven to have a good handle on their ideas and arrangement, and has shown that they have a likely chance of completing their work. The lock also means that the tracks are no longer available for anybody else to pick up (unless the person who currently has the track claimed drops out), for the reasons specified. Good luck to all of you, and I'll be doing my part in keeping up with those involved to ensure that the project reaches completion! Also, the new "additional track" rule should be going into effect within the next day or two, so if you plan on picking up something not listed, give it some thought and be prepared!
  21. Hey Arek, We would love to have you as part of the project, but unfortunately, it seems you've overlooked a tiny detail; as cool as it would be, we're not covering every single song from both of these games. On the first page, there's a list of specific songs that are available to remix for this project, but "Walking on Tethe'alla" isn't one of them. However, not all hope is lost quite yet! You'll notice in the first post that there is a certain "rule" that will be going into effect shortly. This rule will allow those who have claimed one song currently on the list to choose another track of their choice (that is not listed) from either game. Luckily for you, a couple songs are still open, so please read and understand the rules on the first page fully, and we'll gladly have you on board. And yeah, the linking to those kinds of sites is frowned upon.
  22. Heh, I think most of the animosity has been diminished. There's probably still a little bit around, but not enough to make a big impact on the community. And on that note: Come on, people! We only need 3 more to fill this out, and really get the remixing stage under way. Also, just a small reminder for everyone: Please review the rules on the front page. Not that anybody is breaking them or anything; there have just been a few new additions to them, such as this: Thanks!
  23. Wait, wait, wait...Would that be a bad thing? PS: Release GT! =P
