  1. A solo piano track might be a good ending for that part, but that's all up to you. Hehe, it looks like you have a good handle on where to go with your track, Usa. Keep it up!
  2. Ah well, it's comes with the territory, I suppose, considering Motoi Sakuraba's progressive influences. This thing's gonna be HUGE!
  3. Wut? Metal Heads can be such crazy bastards Yet, we love them for what they do. And... a 4-CD set? Are you sure djp will allow this? Why wouldn't he?
  4. The track order is pretty much set, though it may change slightly at any time. With the new rule we put into place earlier, and with PriZm planning on a 12 minute orchestral progressive rock piece for Final Destination, it's looking more and more like this will be a 4-CD set... , so the length isn't really a factor. Some people mentioned that having Martel's theme as the last track of the Phantasia part will be difficult for the mixer on it, since it's so short and minimalistic. If that turns out to be the case, we can make some adjustments. I think you can handle it, though.
  5. Hey Arcana, We're open to having anybody on the project, regardless of experience. Part of the idea behind this project is to help each other, so don't be afraid to contact myself, Lea, or anybody else involved (or even not involved) for their input, opinions, and/or feelings on what you're working on. We will help those with less experience to polish their tracks and hopefully make the songs something the arranger can be proud of when they're finished. I've also added silas to the list. Welcome!
  6. I blame KyleJCrb. That's alright. I'm already blamed for everything else.
  7. As I explained in the first post of this thread, more than one person is able to claim a song. The song that ultimately makes it onto the project, out of the multiple remixes of the same track, will be decided on by myself and Lea. If our opinions either conflict or we agree that both of the remixes are good, we will put forth a voting procedure in which the people who are involved with the project will decide which version of the song will be on the final product (the voting is the likely scenario). In the case of a person who has claimed both a track currently listed and an alternate unlisted track going up against someone else; the alternate track will still be put on the project, regardless of the outcome of the coordinator/voter decision on the listed track. I hope that makes sense. I just woke up. EDIT: YES! Welcome to the project, Gray! EDIT 2: Teliskopic; try clicking mine again. I just changed the link.
  8. Between both games, we'd be looking at almost 200 tracks. Even just focusing on one game would be too much, I think.
  9. Alright, let's try something here. ON-THE-FLY RULE CREATION! Lea and I just discussed this, and I think it's something that could make the people who want to do a track not listed on the project right now happy. What we've come up with is this: If you have already claimed or are planning to claim ONE song (those who currently have two tracks selected are exempt from this) for this project, then, once the track list is completely filled and all of the current tracks are claimed, we will allow you to choose ONE extra song not currently listed to remix for the project. If you decide that you can't do the extra track, it will be removed completely, with no chance of getting picked up by anybody else. This rule will go not go into effect until all of the main tracks listed are claimed by at least one person; reason being that we want to get what currently have filled up first, before we start adding things. Hopefully this might convince some of you to try and get some other people on board to fill up the list. Also, you must guarantee that you will ABSOLUTELY finish both of the tracks. We're not trying to declare open season on the entire soundtracks of both of these games. This is just a compromise we have decided to make for those who wanted to do something that's not currently listed. One of our goals with this project is to still keep it maintainable and reasonable. We don't want to get overly ambitious. Is this fair?
  10. I appreciate your suggestions, GLL, and as much as I would like to include the entire soundtracks from both of these games, there is already a huge amount of songs on the project as it is, and trying to cover the entire soundtracks would make it nigh unmanagable, and this project would surely fail. Not to mention, we're trying to cover TWO games, because both Lea and I feel that the two are connected enough to warrant having a project covering both of them. I hope you understand what we're trying to do here. Also, I think you misunderstand what we mean by not releasing finished works. The rule is in place to prevent the release of finished songs before the project is complete. The reason for this is, we would like keep a semblance of quality control among this project, and also keep an element of surprise for when the project is ultimately released. The rule doesn't mean never release your project songs anywhere else, ever; it means that, in the interest of keeping the project fresh and interesting when its released, and also maintaining some form of quality control, to not release your finished songs until the project is completed.
  11. I was actually wondering how you'd make Sheena's theme work as a DnB track. Looks like you're well on your way to doing it. Great work so far.
  12. Just a heads-up for everyone: If you have your contact information posted here or at VGMix, I have added you to my buddy list, so I can keep in touch with you on your progress. MSN users, take note; If you get a notification from jckyle5@hotmail.com, that's me. Please let me know what your contact information is if you don't have it posted here, or let me know if you'd like to keep all contact limited to PMs. Thanks!
  13. I'm trying my best not to download any of the songs, since I want to wait until the project is out, but...Grrr...Must hold back...
  14. That'd be a she, and I think she has it handled right now. One person stepped up and offered to help her, but it's not quite official yet. We'll see where that goes.
  15. He was thinking about it when I talked to him a few days ago, but he's kinda busy. I'm currently trying to convince GrayLightning to get back on this thing, too. And in other news, Ashane (you know, that name that's been sitting on the bottom of the list since this thing started ) has picked up Final Act from Tales of Phantasia. ZOMFG!
  16. And that goes for anyone else, too. You will remix something for this project...
  17. So why hasn't anybody registered and set that guy straight?
  18. Neither do half of the remixers involved! ...*waves hand* You WILL join this project...
  19. *uses his Jedi mind powers on The Wingless* You will join this project...You will join this project...
  20. We have our best crew working on the website around the clock to iron out the bugs. ...Okay, not really. But we will look into the problems soon. Theoretically, the tables should resize themselves depending on the resolution (as happened for me, on two different computers at two different resolutions), but if they're not, something's wrong. Hopefully we can figure it out and fix this soon!
  21. Why do people try to flaunt their education to prove a point? I know I'm never impressed by what people claim to know. And what's to say that DJP hasn't written his own stuff? It's been awhile since I've listened to this song, but for one of the older pieces on the site, it definitely stands out as one of the better songs of the time period. I see no reason to bash it.
  22. Hey DS, contact me and I should be able to help mirror songs for you.
  23. ................ what error? ... It's all her fault for spelling her name funny! It's not her fault that "Lea" is (part of) her real name! ...But you can blame her for the "Kureejii" part.
