I know everyone's kinda sick of TF2 with all this halloween stuff, but can we get some non-eyeduct games going on BLU? It's empty every night now it seems, and that makes me a sad panda.

Why? Oh, a little thing I like to call BuiltinVotes and [TF2] MapChooser.
It took me like four damn months, but it appears to be working in TF2, but I don't want to install it on our good servers. So... expect me to ask people to join me on Old BLU.
However, I have things going on tomorrow night.
I can show up, just lemme know when you need me.

I really don't see why they don't just make the gift like the Mann Co. store's single "Gift".
In other words, someone would pick it up and a random person (not necessarily the one who picked it up) would receive the contents. I think this would make everyone happier all around.
....mmm, no, I'm pretty sure everyone would bitch and moan and fly banners of boycott across the internets. Or at least, most would, as unwarranted as it would be.

Oh, right, that's the other thing that sucks: less than two weeks' worth of event isn't nearly enough time to get everything unless you go into hardcore grind mode and/or have a ton of metal to trade for them and/or just buy everything. Since the Halloween stuff is now wearable during full moons, the least they could do is turn present drops on then too.
Well, one option that worked for me last year was finding a server that just had some kind people that would keep a list and either let the next person on the list find the gift, or trade what they found to said person. I suppose that would be rare though. I think they kicked anyone that was being a d-bag about it too.

This is why reserved slots exist (the command is "connect <server ip>" (or blu.ocrtf2.com / red.ocrtf2.com for those two servers)

I haven't gotten around to testing my voting extension again since last week. I need to stop playing TF2 and actually test it.
Of course, knowing my luck, the Halloween update will break it.
On an off topic, 9 of you on my friends list have Back to the Future on your Steam wishlist, it's on sale on Steam for $10 through 10am PDT tomorrow.

Yeah. I noticed. Apparently it's blocked everywhere but Spain because of the song choice I used. Worse come to worse, I'll just drop the music altogether. |<
EDIT: Here's the new version, with the music replaced with something else so all the non-Spaniards can enjoy it. I've edited into the previous post as well, so people aren't sent to a dead link.
That was thoroughly entertaining. I don't know what the original music was but the replacements worked well, IMO. Also, I was REALLY lagaporting wasn't I? Yeesh.

The ETF2L Highlander participation medals have arrived. I believe they're handing them out on an individual basis, so it may take a while before everyone gets theirs, but mine's in my backpack as I type this.
They're also Genuine quality.
Just checked, got mine too.
BTW, I don't suppose we're ever gonna do anything like that again? I remember it being fun for the most part. (what I mean is, get a group together and play organized games against people. that kinda thing)

It's easy to get that feeling after being thrown onto the side that gets rolled more than once.
The trick is to realize that if it's irritating you, and scrambles aren't happening, take a break and come back in a few hours.
As for classes itself, offline practice vs bots works surprisingly well in getting the kinks out. I've gotten myself pretty good at Sniper by just endless bot practice. Pick a class and see what you can do. Go Soldier and see if you can pop people into the air then nail them again. Go Pyro and practice poofing. Go Scout and practice being an ADHD son of a bitch will you stay fucking STILL FUCK you and your named scattergun.
If you want to test your team's intelligence, go Medic. If they don't protect you, there's no hope for them. Teamswitch or go to another server.
Or if you want, you can be like me and play every class a bit. But then I'm insane (and somehow still in the top 50, sometimes top 30, if anyone counts rank as important, which I don't). I basically just play a class I feel like until I get tired of it and then I switch. Above all, I make sure I"m having fun. If not, I say "eh" and go play Fallout for a week or something.
Everything in moderation, my good Hoopy! (And I was serious before, I think you're awesome and don't want you to go D: )

Just so you all know, I will not be showing up on the server again.
I'm giving up on TF2, possibly for good.
I just can't play well enough to match up with the regulars on the server.

Brush was giving out free hats every half-hour or so to the first person who sent him a trade request. I snagged a Carouser's Capotain out of it.

Not that I'm new, but though I may not participate much in the rest of forums, rest assured that I downloaded the massive OCR torrents (and quite a few albums) and listen to them all the time. I love you guys
