  1. http://www.ilike.com/artist/Mt_Mega listen to 'See His Love', its the most recent song, I'm doing everything but the guitar. This is my 'feel good' tempo. I also recorded this recently, http://www.supload.com/listen?s=1p5FuZ but its a work in progress. While I like drumming for slow songs, singing them proves difficult.
  2. Bass, Drums, Vocals, whatever's needed. I also play keys, just not as well.
  3. I'm down for bass, drums, or vocals, preferably drums.
  4. Hey you. Do you have a way to record vocals? I may have a song for you...

  5. Thanks. This is a bit out of my comfort zone, I'm used to singing high, and developing my low voice has been a challenge. I changed to 'work in progress', but I think I'll redo some things before I change the title to invite more feedback. I knew my mixing would be off as I let a friend borrow my good headphones, so I was stuck mixing with a pair of ipod buds.
  6. I threw this together today...I'm doing vocals and drums. The guitar is a midi file I found online, the lyrics are from some guy on youtube. I'm really looking for criticism on my vocals...been trying to get better but have a way to go yet. http://www.supload.com/listen?s=1p5FuZ There's a bit of silence at the beginning I forgot to take off, so wait a few seconds. EDIT: Apparently I clicked 'mod review', instead of work in progress, but I'm just looking for general feedback.
  7. That link works for everyone else...I don't have those songs anywhere else, but I just recorded this today. Maybe this link will work. It's 'Radical Dreamers' from Chrono Chross, with english lyrics. There's dead space at the beginning I forgot to take out, so give it a few seconds. http://www.supload.com/listen?s=1p5FuZ EDIT: I'm doing the vocals and drums...the guitar is some midi file I found online and the lyrics are from NOTMakenshi.
  8. I'm available if anyone wants live drums instead of midi loops. I can also do male vocals...although my voice isn't angelic or anything. http://www.ilike.com/artist/Mt_Mega I'm playing bass, drums, and singing in all these songs. If I can help let me know.
  9. I would invest in some good heads if I did nothing else. If you're using your original heads they will probably make for an out of tune and weak recording. Remo makes a nice rock pack set for 69.99...I'm partial to Evan's coated snare heads though. I record using a presonus firepod. It has 8 inputs, so I can record each mic as a separate track. This is awesome because I don't have the most expensive set either, but with each mic on a separate track you can add effects specific for each. With adobe audition there are several effects for bass drums, snare, cymbals, etc. If you use a mixer before your recorder you're going to only have 1 track, and any effects you add will be added to everything.
  10. If you have a decent budget, get these for sure. http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Shure-Drum-Mic-Kit?sku=270263 You'll need mic stands for the 57's, but they really capture your symbol work. I've used these with great success recording. If you're looking at something cheap, maybe go with these. http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/CAD-Pro4-Drum-Microphone-Pack?sku=271262 I have used thes CAD mics live and they sound good, but I've never used them for a recording...so not sure. I also have a small electric set I use sometimes when recording...depending on the song.
  11. Double post ban him blah blah. This is a BUMP with a purpose. Several people have been asking me about my style, so I thought I could clear that up. I wear long sleeve western style shirts with the snap down buttons (for epic Hulk Hogan impersonations) with a boot cut jean. As far as drums go, I like stuff like this. So once again, if I can help anyone, let me know.
  12. The beta was beautiful and ran great on my rig...of course I've been playing warhammer online for the past few months so any graphics would be an improvement. I couldn't really get into it though, my interest wasn't kept. I may buy the game if I'm bored enough over the weekend.
  13. I've been posting for a few days now, but not in the official intro thread, so here it is. I've followed OCR for a while and decided to maybe see if I can get into some collaborations. Drums is what I do...in a world full of MIDI loops I may not be needed, but some songs need a human feel when it comes to percussion. I also play bass, and sing. I'm currently learning to play keys...still have a way to go there. As far as games go I'm an RPG fan as many of us here are. Anyway, if I can help hit me up.
  14. I've been using a Presonus FireBox and Adobe Audition 3.0 with a 100 dollar condenser mic from musiciansfriend for the past several years with great results. To really get a clear sound you'll also need a pop filter in front of the mic to reduce breathing noises...or just stick a sock over the mic. If you're looking for free software I'm sure Audacity will work fine, I'm just used to Audition. Its free for 30 days.
  15. I'm drumming on these songs, See His Love being the most recent. The other songs are a couple years old. I'm doing everything but playing the guitar in these, including vocals...which aren't really anything to brag about. http://www.ilike.com/artist/Mt_Mega As far as drums go I have an electric and acoustic set. I know midi is popular, but there's still a need for the human touch in some songs. As a gamer I'm an rpg buff, but I'm open to help with whatever genre.
  16. Yes, I know this is my first forum post, complain if you want. I've been lurking here quite awhile and decided to get in the game. I'm a versatile drummer...I can also do bass and male vocals. I have a small recording studio, so my turn around time would be fairly quick. If I can help any of you let me know.
