  1. More bass? The instruments I have playing bass are low bassoon, trombone, base trombone/tuba, piano, and low string, not to mention timpani and bass drum. However, an increase of volume for said instruments may be needed, I guess. When I was working on this, I kept finding myself turning down some of the brass because it just sounded too loud. As for the spot at 1:11, I messed with that one spot so much and couldn't get anything to sound better than what I ended with. As for making it legato, I can see how that would work, but it's a bit more difficult to add legato to a VST instrument on FLStudio11. If I was using something that creates an actual score, that would be a different story xD I just went back to lower the pizzicato strings an octave at the beginning.... and it sounded really muffled, like you would have to do some serious tweaking with the instrument to make it sound less garbled.
  2. It's been a while since I've made anything but here I am, back with something new from my brain. I love Undertale and its music so much that I decided to make a nice little medley with 3 of my favorite songs from the game which represent 3 of my favorite characters as well: Bonetrousle for Papyrus, Spear of Justice for Undyne, and Megalovania for Sans. I worked on this medley off and on for several months, tweaking parts here and there and adding other things. It originally started as an orchestral remix of just Bonetrousle but something told me to make it into a medley and here's the final product. Please enjoy and let me know what you think!
  3. Thanks! Honestly, I wish I could get my hands on some real orchestra sounds. Unfortunately, I'm not lucky enough for that. What I have is pretty much the best I can get unless someone can tell me where I can find even better sounds that's not a real breathing orchestra ensemble. xD
  4. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I used a VST called Edirol Orchestra the I used on FLStudio11. It has a large selection of orchestra instruments.
  5. What do you mean by incorporating some original content?
  6. Final Fantasy IX is my all-time favorite Final Fantasy game and, in my opinion, has the best music. Listening to this just made me want to play FFIX again and I really wish I could. The music you made sounded great. It was beautiful to listen to. My only wish is that you had made some changes to "The Place I Will Return to Someday" (which is the song you hear on the title of the game). You made them sound exactly the same. I'm not saying it's bad, I was just really wanting to hear something a little different. The second half of the song was my favorite. I loved the tune played when first arriving in Terra. There were plenty of similarities, but you definitely added in some of your own flair. Overall, this was very enjoyable to listen to and I hope you keep up the great work.
  7. I definitely agree. When I made this, I wasn't intending it to be too different from the actual song since the tune is still fairly knew and not too many really know the original. This is mainly a different style of music and a faster pace with few differences. Overall, I was just messing around with different sounds for this and I wasn't intending to go any further with it. Despite that, many have still enjoyed it regardless. ^^ Edit: Also, I should mention that when I made this, there were no MIDI versions of the song yet, at least not to my knowledge. I believe I started making this around 2 weeks after the song was added to the Kickstart for Yooka-Laylee. Everything you hear, bass and melody wise, was all done by ear which wasn't easy, I assure you.
  8. Wow, thanks a ton for your awesome feedback. I put a lot of work into this and I feel very proud. I just wonder if it's worthy of possibly submitting it to OCRemix. I would think that if I do, I should probably create an ending to the piece instead of making it repeat.
  9. When I livestreamed Shovel Knight a couple weeks ago, I had the main theme of the game stuck in my head. Because of that, I ended up working on an orchestra version of the theme and I feel it turned out rather well for what it was. I know many don't like repeats that much, but for this, I wanted to hold onto the illusion that you're currently playing a version of the game with this playing as the main theme. So instead of just ending if after 2 minutes, it will repeat once and then fade out. As always, feedback and thoughts are greatly appreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFnlffU4WXY
  10. Yeah. I tend to get a little impatient when I work on something. I attempted doing that with the Shovel Knight orchestra piece I made, but I still ended up doing a repeat in there. It seems the only time when I actually make a full song is when I do some kind of medley.
  11. So this was something I decided to make ever since I first heard the theme made by the great Grant Kirkhope, the composer of the Banjo-Kazooie series and Donkey Kong 64. So far, this piece has had over 1000 views on my music channel on YouTube which is saying a lot for my small channel of 35 subscribers. Please, give me any feedback you might have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz-NXKAcEQw
  12. Thanks, I appreciate it. I noticed this one has gotten over 200 more views within the last 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago it was sitting around 110 views. I appreciate the feedback.
  13. This is my Dr. Mario Fever theme that I worked on for a few days, putting many hours into it, making sure I thought each instrument sounded perfect. In this remix, I incorporated sound effects from Dr. Mario 64 into the percussion. As always, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taEGBwem-04
  14. Alright, so it's been a long time since I've been here on OC Remix but I thought now would be a good time to come back with some of my latest remixes to see what others think. Starting off this time is a orchestra medley of the battle themes from Final Fantasy 1-9 so I hope to hear your feedback and thoughts on this medley that I put a lot of work into. Please let me know any thoughts you guys have! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0hHvSRXESU
