  1. Hi everybody! Here is a new arrangement of some Undertale themes woven together to create an Orchestral Rhapsody!
  2. Hello! I'm sort of being reborn on OCRemix today - I am also known as LjB0 with a profile here & a YouTube channel that has ended up being semi-successful for medieval game covers. But probably because of this, YouTube's algorithm seems to only be interested in medieval covers now on that channel! Honestly, the medieval thing has been a weird surprise and was never my main interest; just a quirky side hobby - I am much more interested in orchestral and soundtrack-style music, so I have today started fresh as James Laurence here & on Youtube. Really excited to also share original concept pieces with this new outlet! Going to work hard and make 2021 my year for getting properly into the industry. So with all that out the way, my first arrangement uses instruments from Cinematic Studio Series & Spitfire Audio (has been a total treat to use real libraries this year, for the first time ever) to turn Megalovania into a bombastic superhero anthem very much in the style of The Avengers' main theme by Alan Silvestri. Would love to hear your thoughts & really hope you enjoy the music! Thanks a lot.
  3. A remix from a game that's not out yet... Why not? This song has lot of sentimental value to me cos this teaser song from Deltarune Chapter 2 (if that is what it's called) was released to Twitter by Toby Fox around the time my firstborn son was born. I had the idea for this cover/remix all the way back then, but because of the family situation the music making needed to take a backseat. Took me 10 months but better late than never, right? Musically I am in my comfort zone here - heavy but melodic - but I wanted to have a pretty faithful remix from the beginning and then go to my own direction still trying to sound similar enough to the original's tone. I played an octave down guitar riff around the middle, sounds pretty gnarly! Also this is the first time I actually played the keyboard parts myself, yay me! Enjoy! Original song by Toby Fox
  4. Hello folks. I published new version of this cool theme from Undertale. I made some some changes to the previous orchestral version, adding piano, a little bit improved mixing and so on. Here is the original:
  5. I have been itching to work on another arrangement for what feels like an eternity, thankfully now that I'm finishing up with Uni I've finally had the time! Here's an orchestral arrangement of the opening music to Undertale; Once Upon a Time. The samples used are predominately from Spitfire's BBCSO, as well as Heavyocity's Forzo for brass, VI Labs Ravenscroft 275 Piano, Spitfire LABS music box, and for percussion I used a mix of Albion One and HZ Percussion. I'd love to know what you think and of course any critique is always welcome
  6. Here are some of my recent and old projects I've worked lately. As of now I trying to revive my soundcloud and youtube out of their graves but anyway I hope you guys enjoy. Btw I post my songs here first: https://soundcloud.com/dj_flangerous2 Undertale - Death By Trap Endless Thoughts |Zelda's Theme OOT Hip Hop Sample| UFO - (SSBM Fourside Trap Remix) (prod. 7. Hello Everyone ! "The Great Video Game Orchestra" is an album of remaster music of my favorite video games. I have been working on it for about a year. I hope you like it ! https://remygouxproduction.bandcamp.com/album/the-great-video-game-orchestra-vol-1
  8. Here's a pretty straightforward metal cover of Undertale's MEGALOVANIA (as if there weren't enough of those). I did one years ago but this one came out much, much better, though admittedly I did rush it as I recorded most of it in a day. I really like the mixing/mastering on this one and any feedback on that aspect is appreciated. SoundCloud:
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMS1yjykGVc Hello, this is my Deltarune remix! I hope you like it
  10. Hello! I created with my brother a vaporwave cover of Fallen down from Undertale. Can I post the audio on the main site? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmzMt4Zibvg I'm a pianist focused on game music. Check out my channel if you like! https://www.youtube.com/user/KayThePianist
  11. Just remix of my favourite songs from Undertale! https://drive.google.com/open?id=1clDy81nyEyEWnDZc6r1j7sNwploLKp5p
  12. Hey guys! I just finished this big ol' rock arrangement of Hopes and Dreams that I've been working on for almost two years. I hope you enjoy!
  13. Not sure if anyone here remembers me, but years ago I wrote a Ducktales remix with Doc Nano that made it onto the site (still one of my proudest achievements). Since then I've gotten busy with college and stuff, but I recently joined the Columbia Pops Orchestra, and my first order of business was to write a medley of themes from one of my favorite games of all time: Undertale. Definitely more of a medley than a remix, but look out for the motif from Memory popping up throughout. Other pieces include Megalovania, Spider Dance, Bonetrousle, Death by Glamor, Fallen Down, It's Showtime, and Oh! One True Love. I hope this fills you with determination.
  14. hello everyone. i just joined but i've been enjoying OCR content since at least 2005-2006. i started making my own music in 2009 and it's been one of my bucket list items to get a remix up on OCR someday. i'm sure megalovania remix submissions are a dime a dozen but here i go anyway. Tindeck link for those who prefer it since I know soundcloud is going to make it sound a little swooshy I finished this about a month ago and i've been toying with the idea of reworking and polishing it for submission to OCR, but ultimately i just don't know if it's good enough. anyone at all who's interested in telling me what i could be doing better is more than welcome to. i don't know for sure if I will end up submitting this song specifically or if i'll do something else entirely, but I really need to know what to work on as an artist. laypeople/non-audio engineer types have told me it sounds good, but i'm anxious that there are problems with dynamics/mixing/etc under the surface that I don't even realize are there. just lay it on me, be honest if there's something i'm blatantly doing wrong. i want to improve. making music is one of the things i'm most passionate about and I want to get better. I made this song entirely in a DAW called Auxy, which is free ipad app, though i used a lot of extra instrument packs bought in-app. im not very rich, so i only have a couple pairs of half-decent headphones to monitor mixing and dynamics in different-sounding headphones, aside from listening off my computer speakers. I'll likely buy a pair of Sennheiser or Bose cans for the purpose of making music specifically down the road, but for now I'm making do with a couple of Sony and RockCandy earbuds that were like 10-20 bucks. Again, any feedback from anyone is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  15. This was one of those "pause and listen" tracks for me. The combination of the light-and-dark visuals and this dark, reverberating track caught me so off-guard in the best possible way. My brain was in a very Castlevania place...and out came this wild idea to take a slow, piano-heavy piece and make it high energy with Baroque-ish elements (sort of? I don't know what I'm talking about :P) Anyway, here's "Crescendo of Echoes". It's been through the editing process enough times to fry my brain. I'd appreciate any feedback you have!
  16. So.... Undertale is kind of a masterpiece, and needless to say, I was blown away by the complexity of the soundtrack. In addition to a ton of memorable and unique character themes, the Undertale soundtrack makes admirable use of leitmotivic development and foreshadowing and even some musical misdirection. It also features some very subtle and clever allusions to to other soundtracks. I thought perhaps we could take a crack at unpacking some of the themes, how they're constructed, what they're trying to say, how they change as the plot progresses, etc. This is impossible to do without massive spoilers, so probably nobody who hasn't finished the game should be reading any of this. To kick it off, I'll start with ONE small thing I thought was wonderful: The song you hear at the Game Over screen is a statement of Asgore's theme (I'm pretty sure it's Asgore's theme anyway, though there are probably many many ways to interpret it), and it's also Asgore's voice urging you to stay determined and try again. This would hint at the tragedy of his story, the ambivalence of his role as both "end boss" and "needs your help desperately" IF you knew from the beginning what the theme meant. But the it doesn't get formally introduced until the final battle with him and this creates tremendous build-up and anticipation. It also gives you a lot to pay attention to and ponder during the second playthrough. The theme itself is in dorian mode which makes it sound simultaneously mysterious, heart-breaking, and uplifting. What are some things that struck you about this game's music? What important themes can you identify and how are they used?
  17. Song Here Changes - I've made the bass part more prominent and have more pop. - Added a trumpet part to the melody in some parts. - Added a tambourine. - Added some strings. - Made the piano part more stronger in parts where it should (Ex. At the end and at the beginning of certain phrases). - I've also removed a slight distortion in the clarinet(It sounded really muddy and gross) Feedback is greatly appreciated as it helps me get better at arrangements.
  18. I made another Undertale thing! I worked on the things mentioned on my Megalovania cover. As always, feedback is welcome. Cheers.
  19. I haven't made any covers in a year, so I figured I'd start throwing some content out there again. Feedback is always appreciated. Cheers.
  20. All the spiders gather around and clap along to the beat. You try to struggle and escape...but nothing happens Muffet approaches you... " Would you like something to drink? We have water, milk, juice, spiders, Dr. Pepper...?" "Spiders?" "Spiders it is, then!" "No! That's not what---" But she was already pouring a brimming cup of spiders
  21. O Yes my Darlings! Fret no longer for I, Mettaton, am finally here for all my glorious fans! This kind of a work in progress but I would like some back before I continue working on it. Thanks!
  22. Please review my version of Megalovania and tell me how I can improve! I've started recording on my own using Studio One and I'm basically teaching myself the editing, EQing, and mixing process. I'd love to hear some feedback/criticism from the pros since the WIP did not turn out the way I wanted it to. Original: Remix Updated v3:
  23. I am working on an undertale remix album and this was the first song i decided to do. This is also my first attempt at DNB so I would like to know how I did. Thanks!
