Recruiting for a Chrono series album
Tuberz McGee replied to Wiesty's topic in Recruit & Collaborate!
Heck, Chrono Trigger is my favourite game of all time... But Chrono Cross's soundtrack was a million times better. I don't see ANY problems with a Chrono Cross album. I had an awesome/silly idea that people may even mock me for too. Haha Chrono Cross had the two dimensions right? Have the "Home Dimension" mixes as being really somber and calm. Then have the "Other Dimension" mixes as being really upbeat and more aggressive. Though, say the track "Another Mabuure" doesn't need to only be on the "Other Dimension" disk or whatever. So each track has the ability to be done twice within different styles. ( Thought of that while thinking of a Chrono album idea to the same effect, except with seven different styles pertaining to the different time regions (Prehistory, Antiquity, Middle Ages, Present, Judgement Day, Future, End of Time)). Let the making fun of begin. -
I'm nearly ready to post my first WIP too. Should be sweet. I'll get it to you soon-ish.

Well, I'm not clued up on lingo of recording... so DAW is a bit weird. I record with a Line 6 UX2. I still use Audacity (Like a pro). Linkin Park style? I'm in. I'm no rapper, so might need help there... But I love early Linkin Park. I'm sure it'll be fine. I'll do my best to try and meld my style to a more Nu-Metal one. Heh.

I would re-record guitars if you want. Maybe if you made the bassline perfect, cause I'm not an amazing bassist. Heh I can sing too, so we can do lyrics collaboratively or on my own. Your choice there. This could be pretty cool. Shinny... Have you sent out PM's asking mixers to join? If so, maybe try and ask Chuck Dietz. He's done something for the Megaman X album. His work could be solid for this. He hasn't done anything else on OCR... So maybe it's worth a shot. He could be really keen.

Well, Sixto is a hell'a Shredder. One that's not really an OC remixer is Danimal Cannon. He's big on DoD and he's got some real skills with his Armcannon stuff too. I'm not a big shredder... but more a Bluesy/Jazzy maybe bridging on classical style guitarist.

That's sweet. That'll give a good varying range of styles. Like one guy might be awesome at Jazz modal structures and be baller with that. And then someone can be all Neo-Classical. Only problem would be when you choose when to play, when NOT to solo, and how to arrange the tracks to suit everyone's needs. I think there should be divisions of certain people maybe... Who knows. Like 3 peeps each on a track so it's not OVER cluttered with people. There could be one awesome super collaboration track with 20 peeps. I just feel it'd make it easier to do the tracks and keep everything organised.

I'm down for it. I'm no Vai or Satriani... but I'm down for something like this. Do we get to choose our own tracks or is it a more collaborative effort?

Potentially... I may, From the angle I'm taking I might just need some female vocals. Who knows. Personally, I'm playing through the game again to try and "capture" the feel of the track. None of the "I think the scene was a sad one" bull crap. I need the pure feel of the scene as if I had never seen it before. For that fact alone... the track is taking a little while.

Hey, Nearly perfectly finished my first draft. I was wondering if you're still doing this. Nothing's happening in the thread and you haven't even updated the first page. I just need to record the guitar solo and get a group of people to record shouting "FIGHT" into a mic like a gang. Yeah... It's coming out well though.
