Breath of Fire I&II Album Project (Recruiting) Hey guys and gals! I'm not sure if you have ever heard or played Breath of Fire. It's Capcom's most successful traditional rpg to date but doesn't mean it's extremely well known. For me, the Breath of Fire series was my break into the rpg genre and still is one of my favorites, due to nostalgia and also to how unique it is. What I am aiming to do is to bring to light the wonderful themes that are present throughout the series. There are some unpolished masterpieces in each installment waiting to be heard to it's fullest potential! I have taken the lead role of this project because Shinny Metal was unable to due to some unforeseen circumstances. To start off I want to cover the first 2 games of the series. Before I was trying to take on every game and was struggling to find only a handful of tracks from each game because they all are really good. Thanks go to Xenon Odyssey and Dj Mokram for getting me a bit for focused. If this project gets a lot of attention and goes through to OCR then I can start to focus on Breath of Fire III-IV Genre/style I really want to see how people will interpret each theme and watch it transform so I don't want to make a general style. I'm greatly interested in hearing how this album could flesh out. Though I would love this to be story based, and the tracks with italics are important tracks that I believe are beneficial to the story. Of course, if you have a varying opinion I would love to hear it. Next to them are ideas for remixing style, of course that's also up for deviation. Tracks I grabbed all my favorites from each game and threw them in a list! Just because they are my favorite doesn't mean they are your favorite so you can always talk to me about songs you'd like to have included and songs that end up gaining no interest will be considered for being removed. I'm all for the locking this thread down and starting anew. If Darkesword or some other mod could do it I would love you forever. And there would be hugs. Lots of hugs. I'll accept the leadership responsibility. It's fine Shinny. If there comes a time when you can put time back into this, then heck, that's awesome. I'll start learning the ropes. Anything to procrastinate studying for my Chemistry Exam. Heh

That's true. We need to really talk to him. If he's not interested in continuing... I'll relinquish his leadership and take over. And then I'll be one step closer to world domination.

What we might have to look into, is someone taking on the project as a head. At least until Shinny gets back. I'll volunteer. I have my holidays coming up soon. So I can invest a bit of time into this.

Chuck's work is amazing. He's a solid guitarist. If you really like his playing, check out his bands. At least check out Circle 7 which is my favourite of his bands.

I must say, I saw that months ago. He's doing tutorial videos for it as well. I hope he sticks around and does more stuff for OCR. I'm a huge fan of his. Totally hyped. Can't wait for the release.

I must say, there's only one thing that stops this from being insanely awesome... The fact that it would just be a solo the whole way through. The way I see it, the arrangement behind the solo should shine as well. Therefore, let's say that every track done is approximately 5 minutes long. You would want 3 minutes of that to be solo. Solos aren't interesting If that's all you hear. Sorry, but that's the way I see it. Hope this helps.

Actually my tracks done to a WIP quality, it's just that I'm getting a new mic in a few days. I want the WIP to be as good as possible. Even if it's just a WIP. And yeah, Trolysis (You don't mind me givin' you a nickname right?) and I have to show you our track.

Heh. I don't post often, but I've always wanted to go to a MAGfest. Big problem. I live in New Zealand. A 19 hour plane flight to the complete other side of the world away. ...If I did everything at its cheapest it would come to $2100 US/$2500 NZ (Approximate) And then there's another problem. I'm 16. I can't raise that much on Paper Run wage alone. So I'll be finding about eight extra jobs for the time being. I'm super determined to go though. Hope you guys are all able to go. I should take swimming lessons. That'll cut down the price a bit. I mean come on. There's just an ocean or two in the way.

As much as I hate arguments, he has a valid point by breaking it down. Arguments usually start over lapses of communication, I'm sure no-one WANTS an argument. There's my two cents for the next month or so. Meh.

FF7 is FF6 but with flashy graphics and worse character design and storyline. FF5 is like they ONLY cared about the amazing gameplay, the storyline is atrocious. Which is ridiculous because I love it. Plus, yeah, I can't wait for these albums. Though, do take your time. Better to have a 100% job later than a 99% job now. That's my post for the month. Meh.
