  1. Absolutely not. I even get to pick from tunes from one of my favorite composers!! Excite :D

Oh hell yes, already found my source(s). I've never actually played the game I'm picking from, but I remembered that the soundtrack is by Jeremy Soule. It's called Total Annihilation, and I'll likely be mixing a few of the tracks together. Forest Green is likely going to be the main one though. If only the FL defaults had decent orchestral stuff to mix with the electronic :(

I LOVE Soule's work though, and he's underrepped on OCR (although he DID rep himself in a show of support for OCR <3 ), so the odds are that I'll be doctoring this up after I'm done and subbing it.

yeah man screw that starcraft crap, i'm running AoE II: Age of Kings all the freakin way

the soundtrack to my frikin childhood

  2. Yeah. The game is fun in two cases:

    1) exploring / enjoying the jokes

    or

    2) you are trying to do it as well as you possibly can.

    Otherwise it's meh.

I peaked when I got enough evidence to demonstrate that the louvre is rigged, which led to someone else cracking it completely. A spade is me.

I just like being able to down whiskey and other alcohols without too much of a negative effect. And battling possessed cans of tomatoes. that too.

  3. If you have to ask us, then no, because you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

    this.

You make music cuz you want to make music. I'm too timid to even submit anything to OCR, but I keep making stuff and, sure, I get people who say it's bad, and I feel like crap for a while, but I keep trying. If YOU want to make music, do it. What WE want doesn't matter in the least.

  4. There is something certainly addictive about building Zoos, Theme Parks, etc. It's a job I would not want in real life but I happily spend endless hours figuring out where the flamingo pens and drink stands go.

I prefer to breed as many damn animals as I can.

    WARTHOGS. THEY'RE WORSE THAN RABBITS.

I think I had some 50+ at one point in a tiny little cage.

  5. Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game.

    Enough said.

That is not nearly enough said, I really want to hear your reasoning. :P

Jamestown is a bullet-hell, and while I found such games an interesting little sidenote, I never really thought of them as something I'd be good at (since I'm bad at really simple games :P) But I played it and thought it was a hoot. Then I played it with a friend and it was even hootier.

Shank turned me off a little with the blood and gore, but I fell in love with the smooth as silk controls and combos. There's nothing quite like slicing a bastard into the air then shooting him so much that he falls off the train. :D

  6. there were two that contained a couple disallowed plugins: ectogemia's and Zerothemaster's entries. Neither were used significantly in their respective mixes so I don't think it's a big deal, but please check the list in the OP when you mix to make sure you aren't, say, using Edison.

Wait, what did I use? I'm pretty sure I checked the list for everything I used...

EDIT: awww crap soundgoodizer... grahhh im sorry I didn't check that one fuuuuuu

  7. Except AFAIK the demo version of FL studio also includes the demo version of slicex, which you can still use for listening purposes, so that's a nonissue. Just like how the FL demo projects use Slicex, and Sytrus, and Toxic, and whatever. You just can't save your Slicex work.

But at least some of those demos will either delete themselves when opened on a demo version or randomly drop out sound because they hate puppies and the smiles on children's faces.

  8. To be perfectly honest, I'm kinda sad that they've broken the reptile theme with the grass starter. I guess I always kinda knew deep down they would abandon it (and serperior already changed the theme from dinosaurs to reptiles), but the new guy has me actually considering choosing one of the other guys. Don't get me wrong, I think Chespin looks great. I guess I'll just have to see what they turn into. This is the first time I've felt like I actually had to make a decision when picking; I've always just defaulted to the grass because I knew I'd like it.

It'll be a monkey dinosaur obviously.

  9. My parents were really nice to me this year and got me a brand new Fender Squier fretless jazz bass. :3

I also got a copy of The Essential Simon & Garfunkel (:)), a gift card from the cousins that got me three games on Steam (the complete pack of Super Street Fighter 4, Spec Ops: The Line, and Recettear), and my sister made a hilarious poster of a picture of me photoshopped to look like the cover of the Legend of Johnny Cash album :P
