  1. Someone posted this the other day, which is very useful as an introduction too! http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/
  2. Hm, I'm not entirely sure... Native Instruments may have something. Have you looked through their stuff?
  3. That's a fricking awesome site, thanks for the link
  4. http://soundcloud.com/mark-lock Not much on there at the moment
  5. I've got to work on it! already sounding awesome Really good idea though Chroxic! It's got my creative juices flowing. thanks!
  6. I may give this a go and see if I can combine the three together ha ha.
  7. Sheet music and a performance is, of course, very different. If I imported a score as MIDI into a sequencer I'd think about the emotional content of the song and what I wanted to portray and would tweak the rigid MIDI notes into a Human (as close to!) performance and then edit etc... If you're wanting to print off the sheet music and have a real person play it on Piano for you it really depends on the players skill and individual style. You would have to explain the concepts and emotional content you want to invoke in the song. You could leave notes on the sheet music and work closely with the artist to achieve the sound you're after etc... It's a very specific-to-the-project kinda task, if this is what you mean!
  8. Thanks for all this info guys. EastWest's Silver edition is pretty reasonably priced at $195.00 but I can see the appeal in Garritan Instant Orchestra as it's 145 for the full program. However, Sonatina sounds pretty awesome and simple for free software! I'm definitely going to have a play around with this. I'll have to look up a few of the other things mentioned here, but this is definitely filling up my arsenal of tools for orchestration, thank you!
  9. Yeah I'm looking at EastWest Quantum right now. I can see why people use it, it's excellent! and OOOO! I will be sure to look at your thread! ha ha!
  10. I'm more than certain this has been asked a million times before! I apologise if there is a thread that has answered this question, I have not spot it! My question is, which orchestra emulators do you like and use? I've heard plenty of great orchestral sounds on some OC remixes! I have produced for a long time but I've never got my hands on some genuinely awesome orchestral emulation. I'm now back on the hunt! xD
  11. Hi everyone! I have decided to take on the challenge of producing and arranging 'The Legend of Hyrule' - I will get to work on the idea and see if you guys think it is claim-worthy
  12. I can help you, if you'd like. I have a strong vocal and style range. (Male! ha ha) PM me an address or add me on Skype! I can send you samples (lyrics and sung) and see if it's what you're looking for. P.S. Avid Mirror's Edge fan and apparently a natural at harmony lol
