This is 99% real now, no way someone could fake that. But you can't 100% trust any leak.
In any case, Bowser Jr. was one of my wanted newcomers so I'm happy with that. Duck Hunt Dog is a fine choice, as is Shulk. Dr. Mario and Dark Pit aren't very exciting though. I hope these aren't all the newcomers since DK really deserves a third rep and people are still hoping for Ridley. I also hope Ice Climbers aren't cut, I never play as them but they are a Smash icon at this point...

Anybody seen the crazy (probably fake) leak?
SPOILERS?
Leak shows Shulk, Bowser Jr., Dark Pit and Duck Hunt Dog (w/ duck) as newcomers. Lucas, Wolf, Snake, Ice Climbers, Squirtle and Ivysaur cut. Also, Dr. Mario as a returning veteran. Leak is impressive because of some very detailed images, but they haven't shown gameplay and some choices are a bit iffy, so there's no clear veredict on it.

With the current state of the internet, there's no point in leaving that many secrets in the game sadly. They'll probably leave some veterans/newcomers announced though.

I think we'll reach 50. There's Wario, Ganondorf, Falco, Wolf, Ice Climbers, R.O.B., Mr. G&W, Meta Knight, Lucas, Snake and Jigglypuff left from Brawl. I don't expect the 11 of them to return (I can see Snake being cut and maybe Lucas or Wolf), but many of them are staples so... Probably 2 or 3 newcomers left too.

Opinions indeed! But to defend mine: I don't think it's a bad soundtrack, I think what you're referring to is when I said it "isn't a great soundtrack". And I stand firm on that assessment...it ranges from ok to good, but never great. I get what they were trying to do - you're right, a "toy-like" sound. But with the early synth technology of the N64, this is more often discordant than charming. I think people confuse the greatness of the game with the soundtrack. The game is great; the soundtrack is not. #OPINIONS

Anyway, the list has many great songs. I never played Pilotwings so that has blown me awat!

I can't believe you'd call Paper Mario a bad soundtrack. It intentionally uses "toy-like" sounds to fit the look of the game and many of the compositions are very complex. Anyway, it comes down to opinions

I like my music. I've been writing music for a decent amount of time so I'm pretty happy with my arranging skills, which doesn't mean I don't try to learn new stuff whenever I can! Almost every time I listen to music I notice stuff that I don't do in my music and then try to incorporate it into my style. I'm not as happy with my mixing though, I don't think it's horrible but there's a noticeable difference between how my songs sound and songs produced by people with more experience do... But I'm working on it and hopefully I'll share my completely original music here sometime!

I'm curious about what new measures you plan on taking. Are you planning to alter the submission process a bit or alter the amount of votes for songs to be approved/rejected?
EDIT: Also, as a somewhat related note @sambarugh. Evaluating stuff takes time, and even if the comparison may seem ridiculous, just look at how much time it takes academic research papers to get published. It's obviously not the same, but it shows that even when people are being paid, it's hard to coordinate a judging/publishing system!
EDIT 2: It seems djp messed up and made a thread public that shouldn't be public in the judges forum? It's even stickied haha.

Haha I didn't notice the pun in there actually, I just meant that most Mega Man songs are rock-ish by nature
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the song despite some production flaws it has here and there. Mixing metal and 8 minute songs is though

I guess Ice Climbers are really deconfirmed then, being out of the starting roster. Lucas too.
I hope some characters are released alongside the Wii U version for hype and that IC are included there.
In any case, even with the cuts the roster is ridiculously good. Shulk looks very fun.
