So, I've been a gamer for a good chunk of my life. I think the first game I played was probably Donkey Kong, back when it was still fairly new as an arcade machine. I must've been 4...uhg...I'm old ;) Anyway, I have always loved games. And the music to them. The first game I remember having the tune stuck in my head from? Legend of Kage...that dang tune will still pop into my brain from time to time.
I don't really have a favorite genre of either video games or remixes. It seems t depend on my mood.

  1. I don't know what it is with this song, but I've loved it since it debuted (well, almost...I did miss the old version). I have no real gripes with it. It is long, but I find myself enjoying it the whole time. It has a permanent spot on my jazzy remix playlist.
  2. This. This is brilliant. Its a tasty jazz tune that makes me feel like smoking a bowl and making off-color jokes with the ghost of Duke Ellington
  3. Partially true. This track was track 2 in the Japanese Salamander Famicom release, and track 5 in the NES port. Not used in the Arcade ports. No mocking, just laying down facts. Also, I dig this tune. Sadly it comes off a bit tinny on certain speakers.
  4. This is my favorite Ice Cap Zone remix. If only it didn't have that clip at the beginning. It hurts my soul. Deep. Its like being touched in the bad place by Eggman while caring for Chao.
  5. This is my favorite album on OCRemix. It took me a while to get around to listening to it. Like...over a year. I downloaded it the day it came out, or close to it, but life... Anyways, its just a really well done album. And its consistent. Something I appreciate in an album, keeps things connected and moving along in a way mixed albums don't do for me. As a huge fan of Jazz (though, admittedly, more Duke Ellington style, or Big Band) this really scratched an itch for me. This site is lacking in Jazz remixes (that being said, the ones available are damn good imo) and this helps fill t
  6. Reminds me very much of the old Demo scene days. Lizardking, Purplemotion... Particularly PM...this is some strong chip tune work here. Really digging it.
  7. no problem, thank you for replying :) I haven't gotten much interest in it, so I'm thinking of shelving it. But, hey, at least I gave it a go

  8. sorry for seeing this late, i haven't been to these forums much recently. i'm busy with too many things at the moment, so i don't think i'll be able to contribute anything to your project

  9. I love this mix. It's exactly, in my mind, what the Norfair theme should be! Dark, atmospheric, EPIC. The almost militaristic feel of the drums works for me in this piece. Good stuffs
  10. Hi, po, I was curious if you'd be interested in doing a track from a project I'm trying to get off the ground, featuring music from the NES Ninja Gaiden games, as well as selections from the arcade game and Gameboy game. I love your style and think it would fit perfectly, let me know!
