d'awww glad you like it!
Me too. XD
I'm so glad you made it. :3
It's so peppy and upbeat and-and punchy!
Ah happy fight music... one of the best fight styles, really n_~
REALLY an awful song to listen to while you are trying to work on your own orchestration skills. It's like standing at the bottom of a six-thousand step staircase. But yes, absolutely amazing piece.
*nods* I could see that. At times, it's like listening to... Dark Verdi?
But we can't let ourselves be intimidated!
And, really, when you've trained yourself to that level in orchestration, your style will be different yet equally amazing!
-
Has-has anyone actually managed to listen to the entire album? o_o' It's hard - I keep going back to Bad Octopus. XD But today I will reach the rest and Omen. ^-^
In awe of Trauermarsch.
And the rendition of Dancing Mad... Demon, Fiend & Goddess, yeh!!
Humble Beginnings, Great Expectations - ah, another song for tears :')
-
By 2:40, I feel that sitting is disrespectful. n_n'
Amazing music...

The heart of this album lies in its resolve?
The heart of this album lies in its journey?
This is a magnificent way to carry yourself. A magnificent symbol with welling pride.
Remarkable. :')

I was wondering what great style the magic house would be done in.
Powerful... frightening... uplifting. I want a magic house! :3
Ghost cry at 2:20? I'll think so n_~
And that beat!
-
Gentle and loving.
Serene reminiscence.
-
Like a wraith slamming into your face and flipping over your stuff. Man... just scary. ^-^
<3
-
It's not a sad track... but for whatever reason, I can't even reach the midpoint before I go to tears. :') Simply lovely.
-
This one makes me laugh. XD And I love the rhythm. :3
Most Listened Album Track? I think so n_~

!!
It's coming! And it's big ^__^
-
Oh! I love this one.
Fun, light, and airy.
It's so uplifting, with a nice calming outro too.
-
Oh man, what a beat
Travels enough to keep the same groove, with enough variation to keep it interesting and fun.
Definitely music to play on repeat.
-
For the scene, this is remarkably uplifting. I'd like to imagine it takes place after the game, when all is well. This music is great for calming the spirit. Peaceful, perfect.
-
Fun mix for a fun track. I never get tired of either.
The music gives me a feeling of exploration and cheerful optimism, with a few moments of cautious reflection such as at 3:30. All in all, a pleasure to listen, carrying a vibe very much like the game. c:

This track has such drive!
I can never quite believe it's over 6 minutes long. It's that good. ^__^
Just when you think it's slowing down, it picks you right again. A rocking track you'd listen to during a speed run.
-
How did I miss this one?
KICK. ASS. ^__^
-
A touch of melancholy... and a wide sweep of inspiration
-
Just lovely.
So peaceful and... and not something I normally associate with Castlevania. But it does fit.
-
All of your selections are excellent ~ I really enjoyed reading the very nuanced descriptions you put to each one, how some would start off sombre, and brighten on, or other were good for that unexpected rush of bittersweet memories...spot on, spot on.
The fact you all put the effort and thought you did into your replies...that, that makes me feel really better. It really does. If I could hug, high-five, or bro-fist everyone of you through the Internet, I would. OCR is a good community : )
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!
Those were the tracks I listened to when I was really down last summer. (I also reviewed them all on the same day. XD) Though I wish I knew of all these other ones that people have listed! Fantastic people
Yeah, you'll be up to
level in no time!Well... give it some time. c:
-
I was tickled pink with Maverick Rising. ^__^ Please, take all the time you need for such enormous album releases!
And social life first, eh? ^-^ Or sleep, at least.
-
Stranger in the Desert - Pain and Loneliness
Eternal Abyss - Raising your head again
Calming the Angry Sea - Reflecting
Flight of Destiny - Calming
Then The Ken Song!
-
After Siren Synapse a few years ago, I never thought you'd manage to do a whole album of the stuff. I can't even pick a favourite from this one - they're all great!
Calm ... upbeat ... tech ... awesome!

1. Makoto
2. Proto Man
3. Marth
OCRA-0040 - Final Fantasy VI: Balance and Ruin

fixing obnoxious smilies; phrasing (malevolence!)
Impresario sounds really really good. But... Maria dies at the end? :c No, I do not like that at all. Sad! So I must demand that a rainbow unicorn be thrown on it for a happily ever after. ^-^ (The unicorn would rescue Maria and could be voiced by St.John. n.n)
Yes... make it so!
Black Genesis and Meditations on an Apocalypse go hand in hand. Bad ass. ^-^
Fanatics is one of my favourites from the ost and I love The Endless Stair. The higher you walk, the scarier it gets. >:3 There's also a great supernatural vibe, culminating with the fight at the top.
Fight scenes are all top notch!
Train Suplex!
It has a nimbler, lighter quality than I'm used to hearing with Decisive Battle remixes. And it works!
The echos (1:10) along with a sort of swinging electronic edge really make this one stand out. The Megiddo Brigade is a good stylistic precursor to Train Suplex. The Megiddo Brigade has a subtle malevolent feel and shares the lighter steps of Train Suplex.
I can easily imagine how Evisceration could bleed (degrade?) into There Will Be Blood. Perfect combo
Bad Octopus is still so damn catchy n__n Loopy fights for loopy foes. :3
And Polemos... ❤️ Polemos gets hearts because combat is bloody! ^-^ So engaging!
A lengthy battle (or series of battles?) that never loses it's ferocity.
(A question on Polemos... are 5-04 Omen IV: Polemos and 1-05 Polemos the same track? I ask because whenever I listen to compare them, I sort of get lost in the music and forget... n_n')
I greatly appreciate the rockin approach for Demon, Fiend, & Goddess. The faster pace and drive sets it apart from other awesome renditions such as Prancing Dad, Dancing Madly, Black Mages', and even moAbi's. It's refreshing, to be honest. And I think it's the shortest version I've heard (7 1/2 minutes compared to 12-20), which is saying something. It's not a slow walking, grand neo-classical mix. This makes for a greater sense of urgency - like a fight where no one's messing around.
