I have to admit, I never got to play Turrican myself (should probably change that sometime), but I really got hooked by the music, when I heard it's Main Theme on the "Symphonic Shades" album couple years ago. Simply amazing stuff, here's the live performance of it. Already looking forward to hear what ya gonna do with this one! 
 
And also: thank you for the MIDI, but I think I did attach one. The link is above the Youtube link in bundeslang's post. But as I'm not sure of how good it really is - it looked okay though - a second source is always nice to have. 

Isn't arranging a piece remixing it? XD

Guess you have me there.  What I wanted to say was, that I arrange my pieces the "old way", writing a score, recording it, and then probably start shuffling around parts. Something like that, it's a weird workflow somewhere between digital and analog working where I'm not sure if the word "flow" satisfies its meaning.

So, do you reverse the MIDI or the audio to start the remix - or both? I'm a little curious about that workflow. (Never done actual remixing, only the type of rearranging you heard in these competitions.)

I used the MIDI in FL Studio and just changed the order.
 I added an Image. The left is the original, the right is the reversed version, leaving the drums intact. Since this is a small source, I did it note by note (at some points I had to make some small corrections).

Backward remixing (the source the other way around) was done before at Vgmix, but Kijee's Wily Power (Mega Man 3 - Wily Castle 2) was more a joke song (it was not a remix, but just the original backwards and some effects in it): it is still at http://vgmixarchive.com/. I also plan to make a 'Wily Power' version of that source.

You can always submit it here if you like.

Sadly, still haven't finished my BONUS song...but after hearing what the contestants submitted, it kind of blew my idea out of the water and killed it. xD
I might try and keep at it over this week, but I have a feeling the original intent for it will change up to a different genre entirely.
Just need to figure out what to do... D:

The previous winners can only submit a bonus of their own source, but they can remix the other tune or mix them both as an official entry.
As for the non winners, they can do whatever they like, whether it’s Source A, or Source B, or both. Usual, MnP rules would still apply of course.
So yeah, one source is fine.

Oooo, Rise of the Robots! I had recently watched a "Wha' Happun'?" episode on it by Matt McMuscles on his YT channel. So the wonky history about the game I actually know about!
The song is pretty cool! :0 ...Would need a big think how to squish both together somehow... :3
