So, what kind of knife do you use to carve "MUSTIN MUST DIE" into your body? It seems like a Swiss Army Knife or a steak knife just wouldn't be effective.
Actually I carved "MUSTIN MAKES ME ROFL" on my chest with that knife.

The electronic sfx in the intro are pretty annoying.
Man. I used to hate that little nerd dj chrono casue in every one of his songs he goes OMG DJ CHRONO-CHRONO - DJ CHRONO CHRONO - DJ CHRONO CHRONO for lik3 8 MINUTES AND LIKE DOESNT EVER STOP WITF THE CRAP VOCALSE AN DSHITTY FRULITY FAG SYNTH GARBAGE CRAP TURD ASS WTF
and yet this mix is impressive. Everything cept the percussion is solid.
Things this song is desperately lacking:

Borderline here. This is how dnb is done (as opposed to some recent examples). In that, its very well done. Doesn't loop much. Doesn't get boring.
On the other hand, it doesn't remix much. Its rather minimal and original.
As a song, its aces with me.
Listened to the original.
This is just fine as a remix. The original really sucks anyway.. ugh... man.

I recognize skill and quality. This mix has both. Lacks substance though. Improves on the original only slightly. Isn't much more than a cover.
I say make it twice as long, and more interesting.

Its too bad more aren't done with these types of songs. They really are fun.
Unfortunately it always ends up being the same pattern. Original + drums + loop loop loop + some strings + loop loop loop.

This remix reminds me of the early days of ocr. Original + very very loud drumloops and overbearing bass. I dont have my spcs working right now for this perticular game so I wont make any rip calls. Frankly, I don't need to. The mastering on this remix is very bad. At the very least it will have to be fixed. Lower the bass, do something with the drums, polish it up.

Main problems:
First part is very minimal with 2.5 minutes of looping a 12 second segment.
When it does finally change into softer instruments, the progression basical falls into better instrumentation with piano and strings, but with many messy sections like 3:20.
Song picks up again and gets much better for a while, but is plauged with messy instrumentation again like 4:40 and 5:00.
Slows down again, with more off notes and mess around 5:20.
I liked the idea and would have YESed this if all the notation issues were fixed. Please fix them and I'll Fall Through this song.

Cool ideas, terrible execution. Water sound effects are very overbearing. Reverb is excessive and not well mastered, as larry put. Horn is fine, but doesn't save this song from a NO due to amateur execution and poor mastering.

No, it's not quite where we've set the bar in the last half-a-year or so, and yes, it wicked close to the original. But it's clean, competantly arranged, and it's simple. These things too, should not be overlooked.

Wingless is right though. It isn't nearly where we set the bar of late.
Its a gym rip. Assuming the author sequenced each not by himself, I'd have to say he wasted his time. He should have just ripped the gym. Would have saved a lot of time, and no difference in the end.

There's a difference? Sorry to all Mustin and OUS fans but I can't open a UK gaming magazine at the moment without seeing a letter from Mustin plugging OUS. Kinda put me off him for a bit, hopefully he'll change my opinion later.

Lot of mess in this remix. Areas like 1:10 to 1:30 just got problems. They could have been tightened up. The lead string sounds very very gm. Sounds almost SPC. Guitar sounds cool but is way too loud. Whenever the guitar comes about, not much else is heard. Percussion later on is very weak. Check out 1:50 and up.
Will probably get passed, but I think lots need to be cleaned up here. Mastering, mess, sound quality.

Absolutley Not! That song almost ruined my life! It gave me bad mental images of the lyrics. But Vigilante made an excellent song out of one that I originally hated(underwater), so it's all good!

I am utterly disappointed in this album as a whole. While there are two or three good songs among the 22 total, my personal favorites from the OST (Mine Cart Madness, Funky's Fugue, Aquatic Ambience) were utterly butchered. Mine Cart Madness...did Protricity really have to make a dance-techno mix of that? That was the best one in the game and it was destroyed by such a stretch in genre!

Great project, i enjoyed this more than "RotC". Maybe because of the many musical styles implemented here.
A question though, can I expect some sort of album art/covers to be released?
Do you people EVER read the readme? Or the FAQ?

Augh. I listened to this project thouroughly today, and I'm sad to say I don't care for it much. I won't name names, but several of these "remixes" bear almost no resemblance to the original tracks. I don't get why people start remixing a particular game, as a homage, and then put their own made-up trance anthem/bad choir patch as the focus of their entry, maybe taking ten-seconds to cover the original melody. Sorry, it just bothers me. Although I am the idiot who signed up for Simian Segue way back when and forgot to do it, so maybe I should back off.
To Aethirus, Analoq, Unknown, and Vigilante - my prevailant distaste for this album does not extend to your entries. Nice!
Maybe this site just isn't for you. Go here. Might be more to your liking.
