  1. Never, ever, cuss out your remixers. You can say what you have to say without being pissy. Try to maintain some professionalism. Dude. They didn't get the message when I asked. I even asked nicely. They need to get the message. I mean, if they don't understand when you ask nice, then what other way is there? Look, I'll start to ligthen up a little more, but there is still no real excuse. EDIT - Thanks to the lack of teamwork and helping with each other we lost 3 mixers. THREE mixers. THREE. You went from one extreme to the other. You've gotta know how to treat your team members. Just yelling at someone with obsenities does nothing. If you were someone without any real involvement in the project, then fine, swear all you want, but not as the project leader.
  2. Eh, I started Doomsday first, and it sounds better that way, so I'm keeping it Doomsday followed by Fina Boss.
  3. Well, yeah, but the ideas I got sound better the other way around... so I'm stuck!
  4. If it were up to me, I'd do both themes separately instead of one track. But there are alot of tracks already, and doing both in one track would save some room. If you go that way, do Doomsday leading into Final Boss, or maybe mix Final Boss midway through Doomsday. Well, I mean as two tracks, but one transitions into the other. I just don't know which to transtion into which.
  5. Well, I said I wouldn't post any WIPs in this thread, but I will tell peeps that I'm about halfway done with Doomsday. I'm planning to do the final boss theme after that, but I'm a little unsure about the structure. I was thinking, Doomsday first, and it leads into final boss, but I don't know if it would work better the other way around. Any ideas?
  6. Hah, well it's nice to get such friendly responses! I probably wont publicly post any demos till the songs are done. I like to surprise people.
  7. A bit of news for people. I've been actually working on this project for a little while now. Trying to get things straightened out, since I didn't think KFC was doing a good job. I've gotten some people to work on the project, zyko has agreed to do a track with me, also, housethegrate, who you all should know from VGmix, has agreed to take a track or two (big thank you to him). I got a couple more maybes, but don't wanna disclose their identities till it's a yes. I'll also be doing a couple tracks for it. Per KFCs request, I've kinda assumed the role of a co director of the project for a while. I really like these two games, and the music is some of my favorite game stuff around. So I wanna make sure this thing goes off well, and we get some real good quality stuff out of it. I strongly suggest people start helping one another out. Try to do the best that you possibly can. We've got people from both extremes of the spectrum working on this, the seasoned veterans won't really need much help (and most likely wont be around much for discussion) but I urge all the moderately experianced people to help the new guys produce high quality stuff. Also, if you have a few arrangements under your belt, and are comfortable with the process of creating music, please consider taking on more than one song. Getting multiple versions will ensure that we have a higher level of quality on the finished product. And, if you see someone doing the same track as you, talk to them and see about collaborating. Two minds usually work better together than opposed.
  8. I recommend you turn down the volume on every track. About -6db on each. This should bring out the dynamics that aren't really there. I also recommend you create a melody for this. Just a random rhythmic beat looping over and over does nothing musical unless it has a melody to back. Change up that boring bassline. Add some more notes man. That's just 4 notes played over and over. Arpeggiate some chords in this bitch. The drums need variance. It's very repetitive and not very creative. I mean, if you're gonna repeat something over and over, make it good. The song is too repetitive overall. I recommend you not concentrate on adding length, but adding a melody, and structure. The main piece of advice that I can give you, is to make something musical. This just sounds like a boring techno track that some stoned kids would dance to for 15 hours straight. You need to think about creating something that people want to listen to, something melodic and musical.
  9. You people are all forgetting that this is going to be produced as an album. Meaning, all the tracks needs to be analyzed and brought down to the same level. I think a month won't be enough for some. Two would be better for the final deadline. Then another couple weeks for final production.
  10. Hah, people who weren't involved with KiC don't know shit about how it went down. Binnie was a hardass when he needed to be, and for the most part, alot of the quality tracks were the first ones to be completed. This forced the rest of the team to work their asses off to try and compete with the quality of the more experianced arrangers. Not only that, but the people who finished hassled the people who weren't done. And Binnie's involvement went much deeper than most of you think.
  11. If you people actually want a SERIOUS respone from me, I'll give you one. The main reason I'm such a prick to this project, is because most of the people on it don't seem to be giving it as much effort as they should. Until the artists themselves want to do their very best and make the project shine, it'll be doomed to fail.
  12. HAH! You think I need a reason, you are mistaken. Until this thread gets moved to the projects forum, it can't be taken seriously.
  13. You argue like a 13 year old at GameFaqs. By already done, I mean the demos posted. I don't mean completed songs. I'm just upset to see yet another terrible Sonic project. It's doomed to fail miserably, you know this. Why you still continue to work on this crapfest is beyond me. Your turnout is terribly low, you have no way to motivate your team, and the work they've already done is crap. How can you ignore this? It makes me angry when I see stupid asses trying to copy the success of Kong in Concert. The only way you'll get this project to be successful, is to get rid of 90% of your team and try to recruit the best people OCR has to offer.
  14. Oh be quiet. Then again, everyone has there opinion. And you are a negative person anyway. You can say all you want to me about what I just said. Consider it ignored. Hah, that's good. Practice your ignoring skills. You'll need to ignore A LOT of people when you release this ball of turd. INCREDBLE that you try to fucking review an album that isn't even finished. That's stupid and ignorant. I expected more from you. Review? You misunderstand me, friend. I'm merely pointing out that: 1) The terrible management (you) has no idea of how to run a successful project (this should have already been done and forgotten by now). 2) Unless the demos that are already in this thread get deleted and erased from my memory, finishing them up wont make a bit of difference as to how they will sound. The entire album will most likely be a boring ass techno-"PHAT BEETZ"-soundtrack, minus a couple of tracks from the two talented people you got on there. It'll all sound like one continuous (and bad) song. From what I've read in this thread, this project is nothing more than a support group for bad "ReMixerZ".
  15. Oh be quiet. Then again, everyone has there opinion. And you are a negative person anyway. You can say all you want to me about what I just said. Consider it ignored. Hah, that's good. Practice your ignoring skills. You'll need to ignore A LOT of people when you release this ball of turd.
  16. It may seem like I'm being an asshole when it comes to this project, but I have seriously not heard anything remotely good in this thread I hope the work that's being kept secret is mindblowing stuff.. cuz if not...
  17. Hah, thanks for the backup, Rexy, but I didn't even hear the dudes song I just replied for the sake of being an asshole. Looks like I stirred up quite a bit of controversy!
  18. I like how you trick yourself into thinking I give a turtles asshole about what you got to say. I recommend you load up your FL studio and get your frustration out in the form of music. Then post it here and get tons of mindless praise from everyone and their dog just because they feel too sorry for you to tell you that it sucks. Your hostility scares me, and I fear for my safety. Please don't reply to me anymore
  19. But a decent song recorded at 32kbps is muddy and distorted. And yet you completely miss the point of my post, you bombastic simpleton.
  20. But any other way wouldn't really be SnappleMan-ish ...
