But honestly. Do you have to get snappy about it? I say something slightly negative about your favorite cartoon and you can't let it drop on a friendly note? I mean, if I weren't such an amenable person...
Look. Whatever you see in the show, I cannot see. No amount of arguing is going to make me like a show that I feel is not worth my time. Such is the way with television!
For instance, House is my favorite TV show, but a lot of people like Dexter better. Both shows have their high and low points, but the characters in Dexter do not engage me on a personal level... And try as I might, I cannot see in this show the level of praise that people seem to lavish upon it.
I wasn't a fan of the original Justice League cartoon or the 2000-something Superman cartoon, and Brave and the Bold has continued in their footsteps, in my eyes.
I guess I am getting a bit too defensive about it. I should stop...

I'm saying that they seem like they're for children on the surface, but actually tell amazing stories with great character progression.
The Brave and the Bold is very colorful and is a fun show. Remember that? Fun for fun's sake?

I don't think I could muster sitting through anything that returns Batman to the campy side of things. Anything of lesser quality than the original TAS I can't stand.
Well that's pretty ignorant. One of the great things about Batman is his timelessness and different interpretations. I the love dark, grim, gritty side of things and The Dark Knight was amazing, but after all that, its refreshing to see a Batman who smiles while punching Zebra Man in the face while spouting one liners.

The Game Boy Advance Micro wasn't so much of a failed product as it was a last cash grab for the dying system. The unit itself is actually rather nice.

It's a show written for people about 13 years younger than I am. I honestly couldn't care less.
Its a show that while it can appeal to children, it's jammed pack full of references that only real DC fans will ever catch. Giant homages and most of all, good clean Dick Sprang style fun. You're probably too young to remember the silver age.
Also, it has the best version of AQUAMAN in any comic/show/movie/radio/fruit pies ad of all time.
That's right, AQAUAMAN. If anyone hates Aquaman, seeing any episode of Brave and the Bold with him will change their mind.

I'm sorry, but that looks like garbage to me. I can appreciate the hard work in having to animate, but it's not something I see myself tuning in for.
I don't mind flash animation. If it's done right, and has some form of style, I can't complain.
Of course, give me hand drawn animation ANY day.
And on a some what off topic question, does anybody know about Gennedy Tartakvosky's Vikings project? I've heard pretty much NOTHING about it now...

A big issue with the whole "production values" and "fluidity of animation" lies in the simply fact that a LOT of catoons are simply done in flash these days, and it's MUCH more cheap and easy to animate things (especially more busy crowd scenes) thanks to things like flash.

Yes and no. Flash is still relatively new. While it doesn't hold a candle to classic cel animation, I believe the really good stuff is to come in about ten years. Case in point: Superjail is done entirely in flash and its the most fluid cartoon since Tex Avery. Plus, its cheap as hell to make. That studio shits gold.

Megas XLR was stopped by the guys who made the show. They couldn't think think of anywhere else to go. And Tim and Eric is the best damn show on Adult Swim. But that's for another thread.

I think a key to releasing these projects is to not announce it until you are about to release it. That way you don't have to fake your death or legalities when you find out just how mediocre you are.

That is really kick ass and I wish I had some extra cash to spare. I would totally have donated the $30 for a physical copy. I just bought Kind of Blue at a used book store a couple weeks ago too.
