Nice. "Drums" + "Free" is good way to get my attention.

I love these guys so much. I hope they get some mixing help before releasing a CD, though. They seem to have a little trouble bringing the voices out of the mix.
Someone introduce them to Zircon or something.

Entertaining and well-done!
But it's spelled "decisions."
One of these days, I'll make a video without one mispronounced word or misspelling. Someday ...
-
Is your voice really that high-pitched?
No, I pitch-bend the narration up about 10-15 percent. I like that he has a voice of his own and (sort of) stands as a character separate from me. Also, my normal voice is pretty boring.
Pretty cool as usual, just wondering why Fallout 3 didn't get a mention in this? I'd be curious to see your thoughts on what actual choices there are in that game.Actually, I was pretty impressed with Fallout 3. The decisions weren't nearly so cut-and-dry "Good vs. Evil" decisions as you tend to see in, say, Bioware games. And while a lot of the quest conversations are basically just "Will you help out this old man or ignore him?" scenarios, it really felt like you were free to choose your way in the world. You could handle situations however you wanted, and your choice would lead to consequences, good or bad.
A lot of the choices in the game may still have just been very cleverly-concealed problems, but that's still a step in the right direction.

Just finished the fifth in my little series of game-related video lectures! Today's topic: Choice.
This should show up on Gamasutra.com in the next week or so along with James Portnow's article on the issue. It goes a little more in-depth on game design than usual, but the general tone remains the same. I've already got my next topic picked out, so the gap between this video and the next shouldn't be nearly as long.
Extra special thanks to Anthony Lofton and Joshua Morse for unwittingly providing outro music, and to CarboHydroM (as always) for providing me with an intro theme.
Enjoy!

As a christian and a Disney fan, that episode was hilarious.

1. Become awesome animator.
2. Land awesome animator job.
For such a short list, it sure is taking a while.

It could be handy to know what sort of roles/voices you're looking for. I've had an acting class or two and voiced a few of my own little videos, but I don't really know what it is you're looking for.

THREAD I RESURRECT THEE.
Did this one ever get completely finished? I still have a WIP version and I'm dying to have a final version on my favorites playlist.
-
In his defense, they sound extremely similar.

I'm so glad I stayed up another ten minutes to watch that first video. I'm going to be all over these guys. Shame they haven't released mp3s of more of their stuff.

I started Sweet Child o' Mine thinking: "Those wimps. This isn't hard."
Then the notes with the arrows started showing up, and I was like: "Oh."

The new(ish) OCR server never shows up for me. Either I'm doing it wrong, or this server spends a lot of time empty.

L-L-L-L-Look at you, Dedede. A p- pa-pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you ru-run through my gourmet race. How can you challenge a perfect eating machine?
That is brilliant.

Here's a quick one I finished last night.

Greetings, fellow goon.
That reminds me, you guys should all check out the Something Awful Kirby thread too. Lots and lots of entries already. Lots.

roffle.
I can't remember if I posted my Jason/Kirby in the last thread or not. Here it is again anyway.
Is that hand painted? Very nice.

Another year has passed, and it is time once again to check on our favorite glutton.
We've all seen Kirby take on many cute little forms as he consumes his opposition. But what might he look like if he expanded his diet to movies, television, celebrities, other games, and just about anyone else you can think of? Over the past two years, we've seen him take on dozens of fun new looks. Here are links to the Kirby threads of years past:
Round One: SomethingAwful thread
Round Two: SomethingAwful article
Time for some new starter images!
Lich Kirby!
Sackirby!
Have fun, OCR.
EDIT: And don't forget to check out the Kirby thread I started at Something Awful. There's already some great entries!

Better on the PC. And I played that shit as it came OUT, mo'fucka. '06 represent!
Well yes, but it's still a worthwhile port if you don't have access to the original PC version.
(read: "Mac")

Seconding Okami, Trauma Center and De Blob.
Also recommend:
Boom Blox
WarioWare: Smooth Moves
Sam & Max Season 1
And Mario Kart Wii may not outshine the N64 version, but it's still well worth a try.

I believe there's supposed to be a CD coming out with the LBP songs by Daniel Pemberton Orchestra sometime soon, but that certainly isn't all of the songs. I'm hoping they'll release a full-blown soundtrack eventually, because this game has one of the best soundtracks ever. EVER.
Also, I'd like it if they released some Sackboy plushies, while I'm asking.
-
I think it's starting price at release was $40. And I adore Disgaea games, so I say it's worth it. If you're not into the gameplay or story though, the graphics sure aren't going to sell you on it.
-
Well, Valkyria Chronicles looks fantastic, so it looks like you're all set.
-
If RPGs are your primary concern, get a cheap PS2 and enjoy the enormous catalogue of low price RPGs to be had. The 360 and PS3 may have a few good RPGs each, but PS2 is still the undisputed king in that arena. It's still hard to tell which of the current gen consoles will be the RPG gamer's best friend.
As an owner of both, I get far more use from the 360. Most major titles are multiplatform, and the 360 has many more exclusives that interest me personally. But every now and then, a Valkyria Chronicles, MGS4 or LittleBigPlanet will come out and make me very happy to have that PS3 around. And if you're interested in BluRay movies, that's another factor to consider.
Obviously, it's up to you to decide which current gen console will treat you best. But if you're only in it for the RPGs, the PS2 will hold that throne for a looooong time.
