  1. Those matchups got really intense as the week went on. Mad props to everyone involved - close fight all around So all this leaves now is vote verification, and the pancakes to strut their stuff. It'll be good to see how sticky you all got
  2. So I guess this means we need to know now what's up with Sir Nuts and BlackPanther. They must be really quiet mixers for some reason, either that or they have secret weapons of their own...
  3. Pete, I'd like to see YOU try and make music on a damaged PC. Then you can answer that question again.
  4. What can I say, fellow musicians Save often, will help a lot in the long run. But just keep focused. Keep calm... and syrup those pancakes. You can do it
  5. Considering that kiwi birds are forbidden to hunt and eat, I'll assume you mean the kiwi fruit. Which, I'm presuming would make a much 'healthier' alternative in the matchup between you and Brandon
  6. So let me try and figure out what extra toppings those that sent so far put on... AMT - sea bass (o_O) Arceace - thousand island sauce? should compliment halc's quite nicely Brandon - bacon (duh) Chernabogue - garlic, and lots of it Dj Mokram - olive oil (hey, may feel bland but actually should do some good) halc - chips...... Tuberz - kangaroo... because he seems bouncy enough urdailywater - spring water...? wildfire - JALAPENO PEPPERS OMG @_@ I think I'm way off the mark with some of these, but hopefully they should give an indication of how things will go
  7. I feel glad you're at home Arceace. Though I'm in fear over some cold-blooded affairs tomorrow (damnit, must get away from those lizard puns >_>), it's actions like this that make this a great mellow hangout and a good place to grow. I thought that Collision Chaos and Splash Hill seems like a difficult combination to be honest, but it'll be neat to see what you and halc have done
  8. Let's just say that you like putting on fresh spins on familiar dishes, regardless of whether your tongue is long or not. And if you want my take, Launch Base and Sunset Park have a good similar groove towards them which makes them good to fit in, not to mention that the contrast between emphasizes (is that the plural?) on rhythm and melody respectively could yield some very interesting results. I say keep going, Syllix - you've got good ground to practice on
  9. What matters is that both are there and fit the artist's vision. In a similar situation, when I was in the WCRG, I had no idea that I'd attempt a disco entry (a far cry from the tension of MM1 Wily 1 and the exotic feel of Plant Man) until I actually started looking at how the sources could fit together. The eye may vary from mixer to mixer, but if you've got a vision with yours no matter how much the sources sound like each other, then allow it to carry the music forward
  10. Wow, you pancakes are serving quickly! I hope some of those mixes on Saturday will be delicious, and will not be either stone cold or taste like Brandon's beard shavings
  11. There's a keyword there Mokram - you can use as much as you want If you're happy with it so far, why do you need to start over?
  12. I had no idea you actually announced any deadlines; even then I've been really tied up as of late with all this sudden compo activity >_> If there were any announced, which were they?

  13. I saw you tried to send me a message. Yep, need to clean that inbox out >_>

  14. I'm pretty sure they're similar expect that Google Chat is a web version. But if you're too busy working, I'll simply try not to bother you too much
  15. And this is a strange place to follow up a post, but do you EVER come onto Google Talk, Matt?
  16. Oh come on Ben, that was merely out of jest >_> I at least responded to Bobby's query and still remained tact.
  17. *stares at the cake* Are you pondering what i'm pondering? Make it a good one for us, fellow sharptooth.
  18. Naturally being in the lizard bracket, I actually sampled Gex (though AoStH is a great show of my youth ). But... now that I said that, this is where everyone who voted for me reverts their votes completely. (oh, and screw you for not giving me your vote x_x)
  19. He's only been at it for 6 months but he makes it work; you should see some of his OHC/JHCompo entries featuring it As for me, I got my laptop back - all clean as a whistle too! Now I'm ready to start catching up on everything I somehow missed xD
  20. Are you saying that Brandon went to the same metal school as Dethklok's William Murderface? o__O*
  21. That's because i had to pick 3 to vote for out of 12 in the wcrg, which is so much harder. Knockouts may be tight but i usually stick with my choice, thank you very much.
  22. Happy Briggsday! I hope you're having a great night out there
  23. Oh come on dearie, don't be sad. These rhymes take practice - you ain't that bad I guess you inspired me to state my views Through rhymes once more - one cannot lose. Magellanic's mix was mighty rockin', Yet Akumajo's track was really shockin'! Don't get me wrong - I love your guitar, But with DiGi's raps, Robbie sure went far. Mr L's track sounded really fun; Awesome that you did Italo Disco, little one. However, SuperiorX outstaged him this time With a better structure and just sounded sublime. Rexasaurus gave it his best shot, And did decently in spite of what Jason might've got. But I'm said that Covenant was a no-show; His mixes were emotive, that we all know. Main Finger and Jake was a bit of a shock; Oddly for Jesse, this could've been a cakewalk. I feel they had trouble mixing them both, But MF felt more expanded with growth. Phonetic Hero's winning by a landslide, And why not? Its strengths are bonafide. Add to Pixel's track sadly sounding rushed And you can see that Pete's got him crushed... Amphibious and hakstock was tough - hot damn! Even Ivan had grown since Concrete Man! These similar mixes felt difficult to judge, Yet Amph for me had less audio sludge. Xenon's chiptune entry wasn't all that naff And although I hate fart jokes, it made me laugh! Needless to say, the competition was destroyed By Benjamin Briggs, the birthday boy. :3 And as I finish this, it all went well. And even DusK had competition to dwell. So let the voting continue and the pancakes mix on... But damn, it's 1am; to bed, I'll be gone.
  24. You know, there's a very good reason for that - we British are apparently known to have terrible sportsmanship, and that is shown with the soccer fans' abysmal behavior out here. As for me, all I can do is just sit back and be all "lol football", shaking one's head at all the news of the fans taking the game way too seriously for their own good. Then I look at my past competition reactions and be all pot calling the kettle black. C'est la vie.
  25. Oh, while I'm here, do you need someone on hand to work on a tally for the whole thing? Because I somehow felt bored enough this evening to start one up for this round
