uhhh...
like the mutant child of a chip and an nsf, this one has an interesting
lo-fi sound to it. a cute arrangement, I kinda like it, but I think this could
really be re-done with more attention to the quality of the instruments. It
just sounds sort of muddled.

Cute.
Fucking ROBO VOICE! I CAN STILL HEAR THE WORDS! WHY OH WHY
MUST I HEAR THESE WORDS TO THE CHOCOBO THEME?!?!? asdfawer4

Yeah, a nice fresh little track. *Wark*

I'm a little hesitant to see this posted in light of all the amazing other
Metroid remixes we've had, such as Four Little Metroids. This remix is not
bad, it's a little bland though. I just don't think it stands up in the light of
what's been done before.

First off it's way to short for the style of remix. This needs to be at least 3
to 4 minutes to carry the energy that the intro sets up. The melody
is far too loud, I think more layers would be very beneficial. The
slow-looped drums and instruments are an interesting effect, but then
as soon as it's up it's done.

[11:27:28] <The_Wingless> Anybody up?
[11:28:10] <The_Wingless> ...welp, I wanted to submit to Overclocked, but I find going through you much more efficient
[11:28:18] <The_Wingless> So here it is, it's a megaman 2 mix, called Teardrinker
[11:28:23] <The_Wingless> njoy! Yay!

Wow. That lead line is really overpowered. Being that the section of the
song that it dominates is not so melody driven, that really hurts it. Later
when the piano type lead comes in it's evened out a bit more, but the
other lead is just too overpowering. Back it down a bit and then this will
be post quality.

Well right off the bat this guy is getting points in my book for being on
Kadath.org
Kadath is a city from HP Lovecraft lore. That's cool, but still no criteria for
posting. Also points for doing a chiptunes. Chiptunes are awesome.
I enjoyed the harsh strained sounds and complex overtones of the
chosen chips along with the 808esque drum lines. A neat interpretation
of a gameboy track using very high quality chip sounds. Cool

Not bad.. a little dull. Nice instruments. Doesn't really do anything too
terribly creative with the theme though. But I suppose it doesn't really
have to.

Right off the bat with this one I knew there had to be some magic waiting
in that stream of data that had just appeared on my harddrive. Very much
like some of mutagene's work. And it's no secret that I absolutly love
mutagene's remixes. The swirling effects and simple lead make a
wonderful contrast. I like it.

I quite enjoyed this one. This was one of the many tracks from the
Silent Hill OST that I loved. It's such a nice soft track, and it's place in the
game is so sad.. brings back memories of playing the game one dreary
afternoon, rain pouring down outside my window, basking the room in
a deep grey light, only the rotted halls of alternate Silent Hill lit by a
pocket flashlight to guide me deeper and deeper in to my own personal
little hell. A soft tune reminding me of what was lost, and what more I
have left to loose.
very nice.

Reminiscent of the Batman Beyond movie soundtrack, the guitar samples
trigger in a nostalgic MOD style. But something about it just seems a little
messy. Hmm. I guess it's not bad though. I'm sure some people will enjoy
this.

Interesting, but definatly not my cup of tea. The scratching gets a little
annoying to me, not that I dont like scratching, but that it's the same
sample just being retriggered. The rap is a neat change in style, but
still it just doesn't do anything for me. It's a very well put together track,
I'm just not jumping up and down over it. Neat though.

I dunno, i kinda dig this one.. I'm not hearing these off key not.. oh.. wait.
There they are... Damn, i was just starting to enjoy that and then it
ends. If this is cleaned up some I'd definatly say yes, but right now it
needs a bit more polishing on it.

Malcos? wtf? The sound quality is not good at all.. This sounds like
Soundblaster AWE64 general midi patches over the same drum loop from
Daknit's Dragon Warrior Jazz remix, or at least the same drum samples.
Love the song, but just can't get into this remix. NO

Heh, so I was listening to some Enya just before listening to this... almost
thought I hadn't changed tracks at first until the drums kicked in
full... So far I'm not hearing anything bad about this one, but it sounds
like it's 22kHz... there's definatly some lack of highs. Also it is kinda
short. but no problems with it, so YES
-
omg why the hell havn't i voted on this yet.
what a dumbass am I.
Hmm. So i'm listening to it now.
It's nice background music. I dont mind that it's sort of repeditive. This
is the sort of thing I'd play when I'm doing somethign else.

From the very get go the difference in dynamics shows that the person
working on this cares about the way the track sounds. It's an expressive
peice, and you can only be so expressive if you dont have a difference
of more than 10dB at any given point in the remix. I like the drum bits,
nice electronica feel, compliments the arp line in the background. The
soft piano, chorus, and wind instruments make a very nice constrast
against the obvious synth parts.

yeah, that bassline is a little bright. It's definatly a neat instrument though.
That lead stab though's clicking is the single most obvious reason why
i'm saying NO. Over all it's not a bad arrangement, a nice
dance track, if a little barren. Just too unpolished though.
-
*bang* Ow.. st*bang* stop it! *bang* fuck! *bang* Damnit *ban--* NO!
I can't hear whats going on over the *thud thud snare* The instruments
sound very much like a Soundblaster wavetable. Sure, the arrangement
is not bad, but the instruments used are subpar.
-
Aww.. i kinda like this one.. it's a nice clean arrangement.. it's cute.
The intro is kinda long, but it sets a nice mood.. There are some strange
notes here or there, but i like it. YES
-
A nice arrangement.
I dont think we should let remixes at this low samplerate/bitrate on the
site. We've got a quality to keep up.
I'm voting YES only if we get it at at least 44/128.

River City Ransom 'River City Rammstein'
Holy fucking shit. Beat me with an amp and call me Jessie, this is some
awesome work from Mazedude, who is very quickly becoming one of my
favorite remixers. A shame I'm not more familiar with the original,
because this one just tears all kinds of stuff up and throws it back at you.
I love it.

You dont have to put a real address in.. I usually put some garbage like
"root@yamaboofa.edu" or some such garbage. works just fine.

Oh, btw, the goonies song's title is "Goonies R Good Enough"
I started a remix of it one day... never finished it

Well, I like the intro so there
Now, lets see whatelse this can do to make me go "hey, neat"

I kinda like that bass line. It's very dirty, and the slight feel of
dissonance is interesting. Sort of like an atonal bit, not really having a
center key.
I like this one. I've listened to it a few times now, sometimes just running
in the background. I think it's a nice arrangement of background music.
