    So I read in several posts that people unlocked Sonic by beating SSE...I unlocked him well before beating it (as I'm at under 50% still), so I'm just wondering what the actual requirements were.

    Still awaiting Snake though...

    I think the only other way is 300 Brawl matches.

    I'm cool with it as long as the cycles are leveled with the Karts. I don't want them to be significantly better than each other.

    I'd imagine they are. 50cc is karts only, 100cc is bikes only, and 150cc is both karts and bikes. They probably act like any other kart with different stats.

    So, even though that works without modification, could Nintendo still render it useless with a simple firmware update? Or is it free of that sort of thing?

    Yup, I'm sure an update could render it useless. Only $20 down the drain, right? :P

    Someone needs to tell Nintendo the ol' "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me". I guess they really want people chatting with profanity or some kind of bad language.

    About the text chatting on Mario Kart Wii.. there won't be a keyboard involved, but there will be pre-determined phrases. People need to be able to vent about the bastard that stole your win at the last second with a blue shell even if it is censored.

    Are video-game controllers too complicated?

    Try playing a beatmania IIDX or a Pop n' Music controller. Not only are the controllers to these games expensive to replace considering import costs, but they have a ton buttons.

    But many buttons doesn't make a controller complicated so I don't know where I was going with this. :shock:

    I love my Pop'n Controller :P But yes, they are indeed expensive.
