  1. I downloaded the demo on my DS Lite today. Although it was very very short, I still enjoyed it. I love music games.
  2. So I bought Trace Memory and Children of Mana today($43.97+tax, yay discount). I think I'll start CoM first.
  3. I know I asked this a while aho and Phthisis linked me one, but I forgot which it was now.. But anyone have any recommendations for a good DS Lite holder/sleeve? I don't need one that holds games too. One that would still let me be able to fit it in my pocket would be great.
  4. Most, not all. I guess the option would've been nice, but wouldn't it conflict with cutscenes and what not? I mean, when drawing the master sword, they'd have to alter the cutscene... I guess an option would be doable and good. Wikipedia is wrong. Every single Link was intended to be left-handed. The only time Link isn't left-handed is due to sprite-flipping in LoZ, LttP, and the handheld games. Other than that, Link is always a lefty. Uhh... So he's not a lefty in those game right? He's at least ambidexter. My point is that Link, as a character, does not have the fact that he's a lefty or righty defined. He's left-handed when facing three of the four cardinal directions. The only time he isn't is when he's facing east due to sprite flipping issues. Miyamoto is a lefty, and rumors are out there (I haven't been able to find anything concrete yet) that Link's name comes from linkshandig, German for left-handed. I'm pretty sure he's intended to be left-handed no matter what. My major complaint isn't that he's right-handed in Twilight Princess - that just makes sense for the mostly right-handed population. My problem is that there's no option to change him back to a lefty. This makes sense since The Legend of Zelda was inspired by Miyamoto's childhood. So I don't doubt that he was intentionally left-handed because he is too.
  5. For all of your nostalgic needs: The Legend of Zelda video retrospectives. Part1 http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/14/video-legend-of-zelda-retrospective-part-1/ Part2: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/22/legend-of-zelda-video-retrospective-part-2/ Part3: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/28/legend-of-zelda-video-retrospective-part-3/ Part4: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/04/legend-of-zelda-video-retrospective-part-4/
  6. Ganon took them. This is what the story is about: to get the triforce earrings back.
  7. That's an ineffective spoiler tag Not using image tags would be a better way lol.
  8. The left/right handed thing doesn't really bother me that much. If they switched Samus's arm cannon...now that's a diff story ;p
  9. PlayStation 3 menu / interface complete video walkthrough If you own a PSP then you will be very familiar with the interface. The part where the photos are falling is pretty sweet looking.
  10. Remember when it was said that Japan will be getting 80,000 instead of 100,000. I think I know where those other 20,000 PS3s are going now: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/03/ps3-to-hit-taiwan-hong-kong-nov-17/
  11. It doesn't mean it makes people want it. It's making more people say "what the hell is it supposed to mean?" rather than "Wow, the game footage looks awesome!" oh wait, there is none :\ For something that wants you to "Play Beyond anything ever created", they should at least show previews of some gameplay in their commercials, not a baby crying. This is going to be such a big mess for people trying to get one. I'm wondering when Sony is going to produce more at a normal speed. If stores are only getting 3-5, then does that mean the second shipment that arrives at that store will be 3-5 again? Did anyone on this board pre-order a PS3 for the purpose of actually keeping it?
  12. I still have to finish that too. I'm pretty far I think.
  13. I just beat Contact. What a great game.
  14. The baby is posing as everyones future child. The purchase of the PS3 and purchase of other games will lead to you not being able pay his/her way through college. You still gotta buy that HDTV too. The baby crying is pretty much showing that it's saying goodbye to it's future with no way through college. Sony PS3. Pay B3yond. Calm down, I'm just kidding
  15. It's the only game I pre-ordered. I can't wait.
  16. FFVII for the PS3. Revive Aeris - $599
  17. I think they were a little too generous, and it mostly sounded like they based the scores mostly on graphics.
  18. Me and WOT laughed our asses off with Take Over. It's just so stupidly funny how every turn you pretty much knock the other player off haha.
  19. We really need to get a big Clubhouse Games game going someday. That game is so fun for wi-fi.
  20. I wonder how loud/quiet the PS3 is compared to the 360. Other little links: Sony has 40 e-Distribution projects in pipeline, PS3's new focus? Famitsu reviews five PS3 launch games The games look pretty good, but mentioned in the article it said it's 360 counterparts look about the same. The TVs they're on are nice, I was actually looking at that one at work today heh. Just wish I could afford one. Edit: Gameplay preview with pics
  21. Hands-on preview. http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/01/playstation3-hands-on-preview-with-video/
  22. I'll probably still get CoM. And as others have said, reviews say theres a lot of repetitiveness/button mashing.
  23. I'll probably still get it. I love music games. Also, random question, but did anyone enjoy Lost in Blue? I didn't really play it much and got discouraged when I died fairly quickly lol. Well, there appears to be a Lost in Blue 2 coming out.. How different could it be?
