  1. New favorite heroes: Pandamonium and Maliken.

Both are excellent str heroes with with powerful abilities and excellent movement options. Also Maliken is as close to Dota's Dragon Knight (my favorite) as you can get.

Panda is just ridiculously op. If they completely took away his ult, I would still play him. Additionally, all you need to do is ward the forest in order to get easy 1v1 hero kills.

I also have much rage for Forsaken archer. I had a LAN party with some of my family this week, and on multiple occasions, FA was capable of single-handedly turning pubstomps into losses (it really bothers me when one good person with an OP hero in an otherwise poor team can turn the entire game around).

  2. Well as long as the ridiculously, awesomely, head-smashing-against-wallsy, brilliant puzzles are there, then I will be happy.

    VERY happy.

I am also happy to hear that the main staff from the original are back.

...seriously, some of the best puzzles of any game I have ever played.

  3. I'm going to toss in my oppinion and say that I usually get 800 or 900 series cards (like 8800/9800 etc), and usually go to the effort to get a card with 256bit or more for the memory interface.

On a side note, the last video card i got was an open box radeon 4830HD for $58. However I must say that while I just love open box stuff, you only get a 30 day warranty, and there is no guarantee that you get all of the peripherals (cables, manual, CD, etc), or that the item you get will work 100%. So you are definitely rolling the dice when you buy open box, but for me, the cost savings are worth it.

  4. What you most likely want is a nes 60-72 pin converter that will make famicom carts work on a US NES system.

While all of the deals on ebay are ridiculously overpriced, this is what I am talking about.

Much better than hunting down an old Famicom, especially if you already have a NES.

Also, be careful that you do not get a 72-60 pin converter, as that will do the opposite of what you want (NES games on a famicom).

Fun Trivia: Some of the early NES carts such as early revisions of Dig-Dug/Gyromite, actually contained the Famicom pcb, along with a 60-72 pin converter board inside of the NES housing.

  5. Hah hah, I ran into this interesting bug a while ago, though I doubt that I will ever be able to reproduce it, so I haven't cared to report it officially.

    Linky

What happened was that while I was playing a game, my computer crashed (completly, as in I had to restart), so I quickly restarted my computer, loaded up HoN, and while I was reconneting (I only had about 30-60 seconds left), HoN crashed again (just the program this time), so once again I loaded up HoN, and when it offered to reconnect, I got that screen.

Just had to take a screen shot. 49 days to reconnect eh? lol

    EDIT: Yar photobucket resized it

  6. I suppose it also has to do with how much is available to the AI, because if the AI was capable of scanning the rom in order to have the entire layout of the level at once then I don't think a human could win... but from the looks of the videos I've seen, only the current visible area is available for the AI to process.

EDIT: Yup, only the visible area can be used.

  7. Check out The Place Promised in Our Early Days. It's a very very beautiful anime movie and one of my favorite movies period. It deals with themes of longing, loss, and betraying the dreams of childhood as you grow into adulthood.

I second anything done by Makoto Shinkai. Some of the prettiest visuals I've seen.

  8. Crab Boss in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. For some stupid reason, it took me like 30 tries to kill that bastard. Even dracula was easier to kill.

If by 30 times you mean 30 times to kill the boss without getting hit in order to get those worthless medals, then I agree with you, otherwise... yeah he was pretty tough.

  9. actually apparently my chip is working fine as all my games work except animal crossing

the only reason that was the one i tried was because thats the only game my sister plays and shes the only one that uses the wii (like 8 hours a day)

time to reburn (probably the ios patching i did conflicts with the new firmware)

It is either the IOS patching, or the fact that the trucha bug has been patched out of the latest updated system menu, so perfect 1:1 backups with a correct signature will still work, but anything that has been scrubbed (or ios patched) and then trucha signed will not work until you have a way of reintroducing the signing bug into the IOS that your system menu uses.

Additionally, I second Dop-IOS (use it on IOS60 or 61... might as well use it on both)

  10. The main reason I dislike Mario Sunshine is because of the water pack thingy. I feel that they focused too much on water pack abilities and not enough on Mario himself. In fact the times when I was most happy playing that game was when they took the water pack away.

Additionally (might as well put it in spoiler text lol): Do they expect me to actually feel genuine emotion when the (for the most part) inanimate object dies? "...Mehrio"

Yeah, it was a bad idea to give Bowser a voice as well.

    ...

I dunno, maybe I'm being too harsh on the game.
