  1. Oh how convenient, I already had this on my hard drive! It was posted up on the reviews forum a while back. I like the piano work, very nice. It's got a definite groove to it, and the sounds that he used sound similar to the original, albeit with better quality. The samples are *NOT* cheesy! Now that's an accomplishment. The only thing I fund a bit strange is that at the end when the piano solo plays, I keep expecting it to end after every chord. And it could have done with a bass boost, even though if you know me I put too much bass in everything anyway, so ignore that. But anyway, this is a yes.
  2. This is one of those songs that starts off just being OK, then gets better and better as it goes along. You gotta love that live energy. This is an undeniable yes.
  3. It's nice, but it doesn't really envoke any emotion from me at all. There's no reason why this shouldn't go up, I give it a yes.
  4. Well, as far as I know this is the first Gunstar Heroes remix on the internet. I don't know if I'm allowed to just post one of my remixes up here like this, so if I'm not, just say I'm a bad boy, then I'll be sorry.
  5. OOOh, the quality is sweet! So calm and cool, very refreshing!!! Yes is without question!
  6. OMG the baaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiissssssssss!!!!!!! It would sound emtpy, but the bass (my speakers are quite big and go down to 40hz) just fills it up. I say yes, because I really like that drum beat (you know the one) and it's different from most other remixes on this site because of the very low low-end. In addition, all the other instruments are cool, all those changing synths. I give this a yes.
  7. What's wrong with all y'all? (sorry, americanism!) I really got into this. I like the way the bottom end has been mixed, and it has atmosphere - there is something sinister going on. It might sound empty, but I think it works, and was very deliberate. To me, it had a very strong rhythm. The brass part is nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be from the judgement I have already read. Maybe it could have done with a bit of reverb, just a touch of chourus or something. I give this a yes, and I rebuke the rest of you!
  8. I love the beat, I love the bass! The samples though - errrrrrrrr.......maybe not. If this was a terminator remix, I'd understand, but the samples don't work in there, they really don't. I'm not sure what I should vote because I really like the tune. *listens again* RRRRR, ok then, I vote no. Take the samples out, and then I would have said yes.
  9. Hehehe. I think this fits the original quite well, although it's a bit sparse. The ending, while cut off, isn't as blantant as some other cutoffs I've heard. So I'll give it a yes, because I think the style is appropiriate for this particular mix.
  10. Oh well, if we can't get it, do we tell the person, or just say 'Screw it' and forget it and move on?
  11. Oh yes, jungle is my weak spot! I say yes, yes yes yes yes yes!!!! A little repetitive, and maybe a touch too much reverb on the piano when it comes on top as improvisation, but that's about it. Sweet, oh sweet. The fade into the synth near the end is really cool too.
  12. I might have liked more on the drum beat, but I liked the string work, could have done with more variety. The pitch bending click noise is a bit annoying, and the way it cuts off! But I did like the intro, and the quality of it was quite good, plus it has a hardcore feel to it. Erm, yes.
  13. Damn. I REALLY like this, but the second part of the piano melody doesn't play the right notes (1.03 - 1.06). But you know what, I still say yes. It works in an artistic sense.
  14. Never heard ffmusicdj before, nice sounding, and does sound quite professional. I might have to listen to some of his other stuff I vote yes. BIG BUT: Is it me, or is there a 5MB limit that this mix blatantly breaks? Or am I waaaay behind?
  15. Like has already been said, there needs to be a bit more going on here - a lot more. I recognise the synth , this was made in Fruityloops. Because the mix was most likely step-programmed, it must have been time-consuming. The quality of sound is good. Nevertheless, it needs to be further developed. Like Antonio says, let's hear the original, perhaps it will give us more scope.
