Since this thread has been around in gendisc since last year, I think it would be a good idea if this thread is turned into an announcement or at least stickied so that it remains on front page. Even though the topic of this thread has nothing to do with what ocremix is all about, it at least reflects the diversity of our community, and it does so in a very positive way.

That sucks. Maybe you should present your case at F@H forums. I am sure they will able to help you out more so than the rest of us. I haven't heard of AVG before so I am not sure if that program also detects and removes spyware and/or adware. You can use ad aware and spybot for that. That might help.

Do a virus scan. The same thing happened to me a few months ago. After the virus was deleted, things went back to normal for me.

Why don't you try micro torrent client. Select the same path for the files that you have already downloaded and try downloading from this client. It should automatically check all the files that you have already downloaded. If not, then right click and select the option of force re - check. If downloading doesn't begin by itself then you can use the option of force downloading.

Join up the team people. It's a good way to be part of the community.

I think there are people missing. There are 44 members at the first page listed whereas at folding@home webpage, there are 56 members present. But I guess some members just decided to install and run the program without posting on this thread.

Our rank is now 1600. And I believe we have 12 new members that are yet to be added to the list on the front page.

We have reached 500 unit count. Damn. I wish my CPU was that fast. My folding speed is 9 - 11 minutes per frame.

This thread should remain on first page. Oh, and apparently I had a worm in my computer, which is why the program stopped working. Since the problem is fixed I would start recontributing WU's soon enough.

Is anyone else here having problems with running F@H program and azureus at the same time? I noticed that when I was folding Gromacs core, both programs ran fine; but for the last few days I have been recieving Amber or Tinker core, which appear to be incompatible with Azureus for some reason. I have installed and reinstalled the software ten times but it still doesn't work properly when Azureus is running.

Yes. Just go to folding at home control panel and click on the display tab. The screensaver option is located there.
