in the back cover the artwork must play a weaker part than the front and the text has to atract the attention. The Crimson is to give the feel of the Doom menu's color for the lettering and to give the text extra attention points, i apreciate all feedback

the whole thing is being split into a two cd format (saw that a few pages back). The text misalignment is unintencional, but all i really wanted to try was the overall style for the text i'm glad you're liking my entry for cover art

aye, but Darkside looks better than Dark Side, too many capital letters also the text layers are rasterized so it can only be changed with quite a bit of effort...(i have 6 text layers to create that exact effect.) Edit: DAMN YOU! damn you for noticing that, now i have to change all 6 layers or else i won't be happy with my work! Edit2: shit, putting that s in capital is going to be so fucking annoying and frustrating... that was a complete and utter thunderous shit storm to fix... 5 mins to cool down...it wasn't that bad after all.

i do believe this will be the last version...i just don't see any other way beyond the mega flare that looks high quality, yet at the same time it kinda defeats the flow of darkness in the whole piece...i am stumped...

EH: i had noticed that before and it is a problem with the font itself not my typing, i did try to fix it but for some very odd reason the patterns on the layer styles started to mess up so i had to revert back to the slightly parted original, as for cute i don't see it, this is the direct rendition font from the menu of doom. Edit: the patterns messing up were actually ps and my pc being whiny little bitches so the fixed one is a go Edit2: i think this is the pre-master version...i don't like the outer glow all that much but the burning rock effect on the patterns feels spot on for me.

that is the doom lettering, the doom menu lettering. unfortunately i didn't find the main DOOM font (not that i searched very thoroughly mind you). anyways i'm experimenting with making sprites from the game into patterns and placing it as a layer style. EDIT: howzabout something along these lines on the title lettering? EDIT2: ok i really like the style of this one down here, it goes along better with the overall color scheme.

this is still a wip, i'm trying to give an extra oomph of quality to the DSOP lettering. i realize it's a pretty linear aproach for a cover but i like the overall look of it.

Tomorrow marks two weeks since the debut of the Kirby project, has there been any news at all? Joker: the idea is ok...but the rest is very poor quality work. Keep gunning. i might do something for cover art aswell (if i can find enough spare time )

That starfield and planets could use a bit more touching up aswell (i can do an example if ye wishes) Edit: well i have an example of a "planet", but after looking at it i realized i can't do any better than you (or as good) but i still say that starfield needs work. My "planet"
