    if anyone wants an hd dvd-rom drive, there's a deal where you can get one for 10$ in conjunction with an ASUS nForce motherboard (~120$) on newegg. or, you could buy the one i picked up when picking up neo destiny's motherboard for his rig.

    4 gigs of ram in dual channel - however, windows only recognizes about 3.5 gigs of it, because of the limitations of the x32 chipsets (and video ram, which affects it too).

    have fun having standard I/O functions not work half the time. i'd be surprised, anyways, if developers (developers developers DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS) stop writing for xp any time soon. there's SO MANY MORE people still running vista.

    by intel chipsets, i was referring specifically to chipsets designed by intel, not intel-based mobos. aka, 3.5gigs of ram with xp is better than 4 with vista, considering that vista takes up so much just by itself. or, x64 windows xp would allow 8 gigs of ram used.
