  1. taucer we should record that version of mario's main theme that we pieced together last year. remember? the minor one?
  2. i don't remember off the top of my head. does the new version of winamp offer a favorites list for streamed music, or a list of streaming stations like itunes does? i'd like to start streaming more, but i just never think to do it with winamp because i've only got a few station.
  3. good point on the strings. i opened my reed case (normally pressurized and humidity controlled) for the same reason.
  4. is there any way around it? yeah, i'm not diggin the AOL crap either. and the winamp remote stuff hogs my entire CPU ALL the time. so i just closed that down. remote was the only thing i was interested in in the new release, and it's kinda ghetto when you're actually listening to your music. it would have been nice if they'd have done the same thing the Zunes did - allowed you to send a limited-use song to a friend or something. but i guess that it'd be too easy to just use the equivalent of tunebite on it.
  5. i brought my sax on three of four planes last year. it was cramped, and i only had to check lily once - which worked out really well cause she doesn't like planes for the most part (seriously).
  6. there's a lot of good discussion in this thread. i'm gonna do some research of my own with the ideas that people have posted and see what i find. 37 gigs of music isn't that hard when you've got ruckus. i mean, dj sets that are four hours long are like 300 megs themselves, and i've got a LOT of those. thanks for everyone's input.
  7. well? i'm looking into dropping several hundred dollars on a new, large mp3 player, so what do you all think? i primarily want it for listening to music - so, super big screens don't really appeal to me. i also need in excess of 37 gigabytes. i'm also sick of paying a lot for an mp3 player that breaks soon after a get it - so it's gotta be durable. you should also say what software runs it. anyone got any ideas?
  8. right now my biggest knock on winamp is that when you're opening files (with "L"), it only shows midis, even when se to 'all sound files'. no mp3s, no wmas, no WAVs. it is SO annoying. it seems everyone goes with winamp. anyone know what the functionality with iPods is? is it any good for syncing?
  9. no shit, sherlock. i just think that it's funny that in naming random notes that he managed to get the most unused note in the musical inventory in there. seriously, it's even less used than some of the double-sharp notes.
  10. i generally use iTunes, but i'm growing annoyed with the simple fact that it doesn't allow you to put in more than one artist for a track. it just takes them and amalgamates the names together. i also want one that allows for more organization. i loved the old version of realJukebox, back in 2002 or 2003, that allowed you to organize based on any parameter you can think of. so, what do you use?
  11. bwi's like fifty dollars cheaper, but you've gotta drive through dc traffic to get to the deal. wait, starla? my first ocr love...lol.
  12. if you time it right you could fly into bwi with me and get picked up by the guy that i'm going with, but you'd need to check with stevo to make sure we'd have room.
  13. come on, projects aren't struggling to survive. sure, LAProject and Super Dodge Ball are having problems, but Radical Dreamers, Doom #, and PKMN are almost done. that's three right there, so close to the wake of the ff7 feeding frenzy.
  14. last year at magfest on the last day i walked in on tumutl, virt, snappleman, and a few other guys discussing how erotic gay porn was. i fled to the safe reaches of the game room. point made.
  15. well, is the 'days of summer' listed up there doug's version, my version, or ktriton's version?
  16. hey can you add doug's days of summer mix to this, as well as the one that he and me and taucer and cain are putting together? thanks.
  17. since you're in our room, it'll be half of what me, av, and oa pay a night to sleep on the floor. so, figure like 30 bucks a night for the room, and you pay for your meals (we're poor too, so don't expect to go to all nice places). and if you want any merch bring some cash for that. that's basically it. not as many games as much as tshirts, cds, and memorabilia.
  18. my parents bought me tickets to fly into baltimore because it's supposedly safer than driving through central pennsyltucky. sorry, escariot and q-pa. edit - rofl that pennsyltucky doesn't trigger the spell-check in firefox =)
  19. can't even log in. i need final finished mp3 files from: 02 - Fury and Tears 04 - Loneliness (wait, am i recording for this?) 05 - Thrash 10 - Cold as Hell 14 - Epilogue as soon as possible. PLEASE get these files to me. if i can't get in contact with weisty i'm just going mix that one up myself again cause he jacked up my sax recording on the last take anyways. i should have the final version of the backgrounds somewhere.
  20. soooo....i wish this was emulated already so that i didn't have to actually save up for a psp (which i won't probably). it'd be nice if they didn't only release a game like this on PSP, though, because my roommate's ps2 would do nicely.
