  1. http://sites.google.com/site/megamanremixalbum/ So here's my latest video game remixing work: 10 track / 38 minutes remix album covering the whole soundtrack of the original Mega Man (NES -87). Style is somewhat progressive rock with some heavier stuff and few ballads. All the tracks were arranged and implemented simultaneously as I wanted to do a solid album that flows smoothly from one track to another.. like one very long medley covering the whole OST.. or a theme album I will be submitting some of these tracks here in OCR but some of the tracks won't quite fit in here and some require editing and cropping before they can be submitted so the album "as it is" will never be on OCR... All yours! Please comment if you like or dislike...
  2. Check out 'Skeletons in aqueduct' or something like that by Overcoat. That's very energetic, creepy and halloweenish (from Castlevania series)
  3. I'm a big fan of the soundtrack and definitely willing to do a track if the project starts to live... I've already done one Wild Arms remix (a long time ago, only in VGM), and been thinking about further remixing on the OST.
  4. I got my copy just now and digging it LOUD here in the middle of an arctic breeze and polar bears!!! This is just brilliant stuff, the art work and all superb job OA and other people. My favourite tracks after quite a few listens would be -Theme of love for guitar duet -Read the sine (just sweet) -Somewhere to hide -Finale part two, took a while to get used to but has grown to be a very neat peace of music.
  5. God damn! Funny stuff... Just happened to read some FAQ material and found a link to this one.. Just hilarious... Great. One of the best laughes I've ever had was during a trip to Jamaica and seeing for the first time a "pig-neck-cattle-auction" or whatever with some crazy yoodeling action on TV. This mix is an instant reminder (and some the superb remixing!!). :)
  6. Striking stuff. About the most memorable track from the new FF4 album... There's something very catchy about the simple vocal punchline: this could easily be a big time radio hit (at least in Finland). Besides that the sounds and production are brilliant. I'm not usually a fan of electronic music but this reminds me much of "Breakbeat Era" that I used to dig a lot for some odd reason.. Catchy, athmospheric, nice female vocals and yet very rocking.. Also reminds me of Tekken sound track, which is nice! Superb work!
  7. God damn I like this one! Desperate/dramatic/emotional music turns me on and this has all of those quantities to the extreme! This kind of lyrics is surely naïve if you take it literally but I take this kind of music as "art of athmosphere" and this just perfect. Beautiful stuff! I remember digging some other Kadmium stuff back in VGM2 and I must say the production is much better (wasn't bad back then). Could be a track in any older Opeth or Anathema record... *****
  8. The most beatiful OCRemix (or any other VG stuff) that I know. Very great song... No messing around with synths and sequencers.. just bare guitars with natural acoustics. The playing is most emotional, skilled and imperfect (in a good way) =sounds more like performance than a production. Not to mention the arrangement.. very cool playing, neither of the guitars seems to be leading, both just flow with the theme giving room to each other. Superb stuff. My very favourite track of the FF4-album *****
  9. Thanks for nice compliments. It's great to be part of this project.. I just wanted to note that the alto sax player in both my "Echoes" remixes is Assi Rohiola, a fellow earthling and a friend from my neighborhood. She was left uncredited but I don't think she'll mind. She couldn't care less for VG remixing and probably already forgot that she ever played with me... Very nice playing and easy to record. Big thanks to Assi "first take" Rohiola from me
  10. Nice! This is one of the least "remixable" sources I can think of (Ducktales aside), very nice groove and sweet synthwork in the background.
  11. Awesome remix! Just love it. I'm currently playing the game (just past Threed) and this mix has the same strange athmosphere that I like so much in the game. And the length of the song is just perfect,, quite a few good pieces get spoiled by unneccessary repetition. Very nice job
  12. Thanks everyone for comments... Never heard of 'Ween' but if it sounds like this song I probably wouldn't like the band very much.
