  1. Ghosts'n Goblins 'Trance Version' This is from the Commodore 64 version of Ghosts 'n Goblins, which had far superior music to the arcade, even if it wasn't the most appropriate for the game. This ReMix takes that music and basically makes it sound ten times better. Has bell sounds throughout to add a bit of a haunting feeling to it. I like that. Makes it seem to fit into the G&G world a little better. I like what Instant Remedy has done here.
  2. As of 4pm EST, my EDM album featuring multiple genres will start releasing with 6 tracks over the next 2 weeks. The art and much of the sound design is inspired by the DOS game "Descent" for Windows 95. It was (and is still) influential in both mine and my brother's gaming lives, and I hope the love I have for the game is audible in each of the tracks as they release. You can download all songs for free on Bandcamp as they release, starting with Follow the Sky. https://treyt.bandcamp.com/album/darkness-falling You can also stream them on YouTube Music and Soundcloud as they release. Having finished this album, it's on to new projects. If you're new, seasoned, young, old, wherever you are in life, I'm open to collaboration and jolly cooperation! This is my first album-ish release as well, so constructive criticism of all tracks as they release is welcome.
  3. Hi! I finished my new cover. It's End of the Dark from Policenauts game. The soundtrack has awesome 80's 90's feeling and i wanted to bring it out more in this arrangement with my style :D. Feedback is appreciated :). Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  4. EDIT (20-10-23): Updated the mix and master as it was very kick and bass heavy. Should be a more balanced sound now. Updated spooki sounds here A dark psytrance remix of "Jaffars Theme" and "Final Battle" from Prince of Persia for the SNES. A sampled reference from the original Apple II version of Jafar conjuring forth the hourglass is also present in the song though that's more of a soundeffect than any sort of musical score. Original composers for the SNES OST are Toshiya Yamanaka and Tetsuya Nakan. The small sampled bit was a melodic sting for the Apple II version written by Francis Mechner, as far as I can discern, alternatively Tom Rettig who did the sound. I worked myself into kind of a burnout mode with this one which made the song hard to really progress in any meaningful way and complete. I really wanted it done now for Halloween so I focused a lot on it these past weeks but also kind of got worn out since I'm also studying at a university now. However, this still marks quite a leap forward in my psytrance skills. I have much yet to learn about effectwork and really adding proper flourish to my tracks but this one still became quite rich and elaborate. Enjoy and happy halloween. c:
  5. I was curious how one can take a melody/theme villainous/darker/evil sounding. I love the idea of dark reprises and was curious how to go about this. I write electronic music and remix in a similar style (i'm quite eccentric). I have a few themes I want to do this with and would like pointers. I know things like occasional tritones, minor keys, diminished chords, and accidentals are important but what else>? One of the pieces I want to do a villainous remix of (not having much luck due to the upbeat and repetitive nature of the piece). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW9WHjictHc

  7. I'm so bad at creating a topic and putting it in the right topic -- sorry if I messed up one more time :3 For all of you, Tomb Raider enthusiasts, Peter Connelly is starting a Kickstarter ! The goal ? Remaster, re-orchestrate and re-release the soundtracks of the games he worked on for all the fans of Lara Croft who are willing to give him a little help with his campaign ! Let's make this happen !
  8. Jurassic Park 'Raptor Waltz' There are parts of this song that make me wonder if Trace got a hold of a time machine to grab some Dinosaur sound samples. Get ready for your own personal ride through the jungles of Jurassic Park when you listen to this one. I only have one complaint with this one. There is a lead instrument that starts about 1:25 that I think we could have really done with out. The rest of the song makes me not want to close my eyes in fear of what I might dream up. I liked this one much more then the 3rd Jurassic Park movie. I think we could have lived without that as well.
  9. The soundcloud one has better sound quality. The youtube one shows a screen capture of the track in FL Studio.
  10. Hey, This is a piano arrangement from ff10 ; Twillight and The Deceased Laugh. https://soundcloud.com/bluelighter0085/ff10-the-dream-is-clearing I've written this years ago, but was blocked on the recording. Now, I've a better synthe and I've recorded this in numeric. I feel the result largely better, but I'd like another listenning to judge if now the recording quality acceptable.
  11. Bubble Bobble 'This Is Not a True Ending (Asphyxiation)' Personally, I think this mix is great especially that part that starts at about 0:54. Throughout the rest of the mix, the distortion makes it sound like really heavy guitars or something. And the best part about this mix is that if you don’t like this one, there is even another version with the same title without the Asphyxiation. Awesome work, Children of the Monkey Machine, keep it up.
