  1. Hi everyone! This is the first remix I've ever worked on, so I wanted to base it on a track I love. That happened to be First Steps from Celeste (an incredible game). The atmosphere it creates when opening the player to the game is immaculate. And the retro tuning of the instrumentation I adore. When developing it, I wanted to somewhat modernize it whilst retaining the emotional and atmospheric beats of First Steps as a whole. Hope y'all enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/metris-77761303/celeste-first-steps-metris-remix
  2. About the remix: This is a remix of "Quiet and Falling" from Celeste. It's the song from the Mirror Temple. I had a lot of fun doing this one! The original is pretty cold and surreal, the B-side is downright funky, so I decided to take this in a direction different to the songs in the game. I also brought back an old pseudonym for the remix. FL Studio 20 was used for both the song and the visualization on YouTube (via ZGameEditor Visualizer.) I incorporated a lot of "found sounds" - metal sheets, keys on a desk, all sorts of fun improvised percussion. The synthwork is Sytrus and Vanguard. The orchestral sounds came from Nexus. Is it a good candidate? Thanks for listening~
  3. Hello everyone! I've been a fan and follower of this site since 2002, I believe. Didn't make an account til 2003, but it was always a dream of mine to have a song be released here someday. I tried learning production on my own multiple times, but failed numerously. So I just gave up on that at the time. Then I began trying again in October 2017, this time with the help of a friend I made in the rave scene. And now, almost 2 years later, I've been able to make my first remix (I've only made original music before). Here's the link to the song, and any honest feedback would be highly appreciated https://soundbutt.com/ltw-p/madelines-ascent
  4. First time posting! Lena Raine's soundtrack is incredible and Exhale is probably one of my favourite tracks on the album. Transferring the melody to the flute part meant that I could play around a bit more with the piano accompaniment, in addition to playing around with the countermelody towards the end. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
