  1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 'Ice Attack' This is some solid trance here, people. Though I don't have time to rant about the merits of it, I'll just say that it's really enjoyable. That is, if you like trance, but from past experience of the general population at OC that really shouldn't be a problem. ^^ Me likes
  2. Super Castlevania IV 'Castle Trance' I love the lone percussion at the beginning of this tune. It’s joined quickly by a more thumping kick drum I believe, and a strange sort of whistle sound. Then the full background kicks in. It does a little whistle-y repetition for a while, and at about 1:20 the real melody kicks in. The little harpsichord(?) almost-solo at ~1:35 made me smile. Strings and a sort of wind-chime sound bring the song back to normal shortly after. I like the main lead sample at this point. At ~2:40 the song changes to a very techno-y style for a little bit. Overall I liked this mix, not exactly memorable, but I enjoyed listening to it. 3/5
  3. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 'Ice Cap Zone (Frozen Knuckles Mix)' I love the intro voice sample. I love the bassline. I love the drums. I love the game samples. I love those strings. I love this whole gosh darn mix. Rayza really puts on an excellent show for us here and shows us just what is the fastest thing alive is. As a final note, I just have to say that damn frozen knuckles would hurt. Anyways, excellent work, Rayza, keep it up.
  4. Wizards & Warriors 'Grosse Lederhosen' This one is interesting to say the least, a very upbeat loud kick electronic sound. The only thing I can say that I don’t really take to is the arpeggio that starts at about 2:53 and completes the song. The instrument used for it sounds too much like it’s just a drum with no pitch change at all. Besides that, the rest of the mix is great, right up my ally. I especially like the Pulp Fiction sample, nice touch Grodan Grobi.
  5. Deflektor 'Laser Dance' Mr. Dodgers exposes us to a very happy blippy but cool mix from the game Deflektor. Ok panning here, quite a large amount of bass, and a good choice of instruments. Quite a few changes here too, although I probably would have preferred a few others to mix the song up a little more. It's a good listen, it's got fairly good mixing and the overall sound quality is pretty good. Synth orientated. I can't really think of anything else to say. Good work Chuck!
  6. Super Mario World 'The Dark Reaches of SMW' Must say, I absolutely loved this song ever since the first time I heard it. What I used to think was only a remix of the Ghost House's theme from Super Mario World, turns out to actually be a remix of Bowser's Castle (among other themes that I really can't name offhand). Great use of different instruments going on, and several wonderful uses of in-game samples make this a definitely CD worthy song in my personal opinion.
