skenter4 Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Has anyone found a way to transfer games from someone's Wii to another? i.e. a way to take them from a SD card that has them backed up from one Wii and puts them on the Wii of a different owner? atmuh Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 Virtual Console games, like all other channels, are encrypted to run on the wii that downloads them and ONLY that Wii. Even if the wii is modded this is still the case. The wii was JUST RECENTLY finally hacked so soon the encryption on channels may be cracked and you may be able to play VC games on a different wii (but at that point you'd still need a chipped wii and anyone with a chipped wii just uses the tons of emulators available for them on the gamecube).
