MrKyle
Does anyone know of any software out there (freeware if possible) that allows me load up a MIDI file and it will scribe it as notation? I have Power Tab and it's nice, but I can't load midi's of say, a piano because there are no tunings for a piano in Power Tab (guitar prog). Any ideas? I have the almighty FL Studio 7 XXL, yet can't seem to manage this tiny idea. Thanks!
cobaltstarfire
Anvil Studio? I'm not sure if that's what you're asking for or not...
Sinewav
Too lazy to google for it, but if Noteworthy Composer is still around, you might want to check it out. I've found it to be particularly good for that kind of thing.
Strati
Yeah, I use Noteworthy Composer. It's not bad, but last I checked it's not exactly free.

cobaltstarfire
I second Anvil Studio (although it cannot print sheet music) I think you can if you buy the addon...but that defeats the purpose if he wants freeness that can print sheet music... Dhsu
Finale Notepad might be what you're looking for.
Hausdog
Yeah, this is an old thread, but for anyone interested Play Music has a free demo that lasts forever. You can do everything but save and print. You can export AND import MIDIs with it, though, so you can still basically save your work by writing stuff then exporting it as a MIDI. you can then import it as a MIDI and it's almost always perfect.
