prophetik music Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 i'm looking for a computer magazine to start subscribing to, maybe two mags. i'd prefer one that looks a lot at hardware (not necessarily the most recent stuff) and windows-based systems. and games, since i like games and play them a lot =) i prefer un-opinionated reporting, as opposed to fanboyism. if it comes with free stuff occasionally, i'd like that too. any ideas? what do you read? The Pezman Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 They gave out free copies of... what the hell was it?... I think Computer Power User at MAGFest. I enjoyed it. Much prefer to read the stuff online though. Quote
RedTigrr Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I usually read MaximumPC. If nothing else, you can actually download PDF back issues from their website for free. www.maximumpc.com Quote
Effef Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I subscribe to MaximumPC, but its really for the guy who has quad 8800GTX Ultras and considers 1900x1200 a small resolution. I don't even think they know what performance per dollar is. Quote
Hyperion5182 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 PCGamer seems to but they are software based not hardware. Quote
